Aramis Bermuda Tonic by Aramis, 2005

At first I didn't expect so much of it, but the scent really grew on me after just 2 days of wearing! Largely different from bunch of other aquatics and has a very smooth warm note too! Love the earthy vibe like wettened stony pavements by rain. Surprised me by its respectable longevity, competing with many dark and warm scents in it! All over, a real thumbs up!

Not quite as nail-polishy as the new Lanvin Vetyver or Insense Ultramarine, but honestly very chemical. It's basically a dry, no-frills herbal aquatic scent with just a dash of coconut in the top. I really like the fact that it doesn't burden itself with unnecessary sweetness, but sometimes it's just so plastic and musty that I can't believe it. It reminds me of the dirty, offputting way that the raisins and fruit fragments get in a fruitcake when it's been burnt slightly, or old books that have that darker, slightly rotten smell rather than the lighter, grainy/strawlike smell that everyone loves. I wouldn't mind if the men's room floor smelled like this after being cleaned, but I don't see any reason why I need to smell like it.

Yet another amazing aquatic from Aramis. Opens with a punchy booze note which slowly dries into a very dry and almost savoury (in a good way) coconut. About two hours into the journey that coconut remains strong and in place but turns slightly sweeter (but not too sweet) as some subtle mint starts to come through. From there, Bermuda Tonic changes very little - it's actually a very simple and fairly linear scent - but that doesn't matter, because it's so good. Sillage and longevity are pretty good considering it's only supposed to be a light skin scent and, with an RRP of less than £30 for 100ml, it remains the cheapest frag in the Aramis range. The one problem with Bermuda Tonic is that, even though it is still available and not discontinued (5 years after it was released - not bad for a limited edition), online prices are starting to get silly (though you can still get it) and almost impossible to find on the high street, where it will be cheaper. If you do happen to stumble on a bottle in a high street shop, then buy it immediately because this will be the next Havana in terms of panic buying.

A fragrance I love! Light, ozonic (though much softer than Issey Miyake for men) and sherbety, On me a a VERY soft sandlewood type not develops in the background after about 30 minutes. Surprisingly lasting for such a fresh fragrance.

I have bought 4 bottles since my first - and will continue to buy!

It is a scientific fact that everyone has unique pheromones that secretes from them and attract the opposite sex. In fact it's the lines between the lines between the lines for some scientists. The theory is that pheromones hold our DNA and smelling a strain of DNA that fills in the missing parts of ours (to create a stronger strain) is the basis behind attraction. (Love is truely blind)

Science aside it appears the lads at Aramis have found the exact scent that I personally emit, exaggerated and bottled it. I know this because the dry down on me effectively is unending and the scent remains well past the Spray on version of me has disappeared.

This isn't witty allegory, it's the truth, I am a walking $36 USD bottle of Perfume.

However, if you experience hot flushes and indescribable primal urges from this scent, we should do the right thing by evolution and arrange a rendezvous.

the best aquatic out their. spicy and fresh and very long lasting on my skin. aramis has been in the game for years and i see why. very affordable

A bit pepperish/spicier than your regular run off the mill fresh scents. I didn't find it weak. In fact it has a lot of sillage and lasting power on my skin for a fresh/aquatic rendition. Definitely a keeper!

Very light and breezy, not something for a cold climate or mindset. Bermuda Tonic is very Piña Colada-ish and features a pleasant blend of bitter rhum and sweet coconut. It is a tonic however and probably intentionally designed to be sprayed very liberally since it´s quite weak. Inviting packaging, and a nice release after numerous Lauder dissapointments.

Man, this is some good juice in this bottle. Speaking of which, the colors on this bottle is cool but that same bottle shape is dead now.Step up yo game.
