Wow! A full onslaught of forceful patchouli dominates the top note and remains in the foreground, accompanied by it's sidekick, a rich, dark Violet note. A touch of musk with a bit if wood is palpable towards the end. It lacks any sharpness, synthetic overkill, or cloying features; somewhat more elegant, smoother and more convincingly blended than, for instance, Tom Ford's Purple Patchouli. Great projection, silage, and longevity - the latter approaching over six hours. This is one of the best patchouli/violet fragrance I have come across for a long time, a rich but not heavy beauty, one of Monegal's best.
