Pros: Unique harmony of masculine fragrance

Cons: No projection, definitely skin scent & short longevity.

Got this 100mL bottle a month ago as a complete gift set. Kinda excited to prove how "bad boy" this fragrance turn out...

It starts with a smoky burst of wood (cedar, perhaps?) and crisp mandarin sneaking within. As seconds ticking, I get some feel of oak and leather as I long for heavy oud aroma that defines its masculinity.

My conclusion, this isn't a fragrance for picking out clear notes. It's better to be appreciated as an harmonious ensemble of masculinity. It definitely captures the woody & smoky feel, enriched by a sense of cedar.

Cons are the projection, and definitely a serious matter of longevity. It's only skin scent for me. Aside that, this fragrance undeniably masculine, sexy and most definitely strong enough to make an impression. It is a very safe bet to show some manly charm. Score? 7.5/10.

Pros: Masculine, Unique

Cons: Longevity, Projection

Awash all the overly sweet, inoffensive, androgynous designer fragrances popular among men these days, this stuff came completely out of left field.
An uber-masculine, hard edged men's cologne.

From Juicy Couture?
What? Seriously? Well, I did not see this one coming.

I love this damn stuff, and it has probably the coolest bottle design of any fragrance I've ever owned, but it just has absolutely no projection or longevity. Purely a skin scent, no matter how much you spray.

Here's to hoping J.C. re-releases this stuff, and in a eau de parfum version that fixes the staying power issues.
...Yeah, probably not going to happen. It's a fickle market.
*sigh*

Good masculine scent, cheap price, younger girls like it. It has a bit of a personality to it, while it is cheap id sample before buying as I do not think its for everyone. Not too fantastic with silage and longevity. I used about 3-4 sprays and it lasted an hour or two, I had to use over 10+ sprays to overpower the JC lala juicy EDP that my current fling uses as her signature

Good scent, not unique though. The price is inviting. Reminds a bit of Gucci Pour Homme I. My complaints are about the weak longevity and projection. I actually smell no oud in it, but more incense and woods.

This fragrance does have a little bit of everything that you can find in a woody spicy fragrance. but it's not bold in any of them. It's more like a tuned down version of a strong and great woody spicy fragrance. don't get me wrong! it's a really good fragrance. specially for the price tag. At the opening you can smell woods. there is some smokiness from leather, there are some spices in the background. you can smell some sweetness in it but every note playing a normal and common role in this fragrance. there is nothing really crazy about any of the notes but still it's really good. People compare it to Gucci Pour Homme (GPH). it's in the GPH genre but it's something different at the same time! The woodsy and spicy notes in GPH are much much stronger and better. comparing it to Potion is wrong too! because Potion does have much better quality and beautiful cinnamon note in it and also it's more sweeter than Dirty English. potion is a really well balanced fragrance. and finally comparing it to M7 is completely wrong! I can't find any similarities! Dirty English is a really good fragrance for the price but if you have GPH and Potion you don't need to buy this because you already have two great fragrances! Projection and longevity is weak for this guy.

I really like this scent. The first dozen times I opened the cap to smell it, I grinned and laughed. The first time I wore it, I smelled my arm every ten minutes. Top notes will make your head spin in a good way, and it settles down nicely. Beware - sillage can be pretty massive; I just did the five sprays on arms and neck, and it was a bit much for the first 3 hours! I thinking 3 sprays next time... Intoxicating sweet spiced rum in the woods.

Nice at the start but once it dries down it gets nasty and not it the "dirty" sense. If a fragrance is a story then there is no plot to Dirty English. Sure it smells good but it's company gets tiring. Believe it or not, the dry down reminds me of Secretions Magnifique. The way Secretions has this stale perfume scent to it. The sad thing is that Secretions arrived at this storyline intentionally whereas Dirty English stumbled upon it. If only Dirty English's performance was as brilliant as it's start. If only it didn't dry down to a cheap scent. If only. Top notes are nice but the rest is patchy.

Love Dirty English - and its one of those scents that has been marketed perfectly (even though it was discontinued). It smells dirty...but when I have it on, the leather in it makes me want to sniff my arm...alot. So much so in fact, a co-worker thought I was doing cocaine at my desk because of how many times my right arm went to my nose in 8 hours. I liken it to Zirh Ikon. There is a vetiver note, and it can be isolated...but it's not the focus. It smells 'manly', but in a raw...primal way. It is good for rock shows and clubs - and also for outdoor adventures. Some will hate it for the reasons I like it, but hey - that's what's good about perfume...it's subjective. I dig it, and will likely stock up when it starts disappearing. Spray liberally, because it's longevity is not as beastly as the scent.

In a world of pop video, xbox addicts, wearing colognes that smell like cotton candy laced with poodle-like wimpyness, it is absolutely refreshing to FINALLY find a cologne worthy of manhood. Young men take note: Stop wearing axe body sprays, and mall store gag juice, this is the frag of all frags. I like fragrances that smell crisp, woodsy, boozy, and manly. This is the one. Set a trend young men, of wearing colognes that smell like your gender should....REAL MEN! If you like a camp fire, chopping wood, rodeos, or anything else that can put calouses on your hands, get your hands on this stuff. I have searched for 3 years for a fragrance as solid as this with my chemistry. I am blond haired, , blue eyed male. Irish/ scottish descent, medium skin. My wife is picky with fragrance. She LOVES it. It is not expensive, and i hear they are discontinuing it. Stock up today!! Enjoy!! Great bottle. Fall/ winter frag Sillage is medium Charms on the cap are just strange Dirty English: REAL MANS GOLOGNE

Pleasantly surprised myself by really enjoying this. Too bad it goes bye bye real fast. Smells so good I can't hold it against this cologne though.
