Dolce Riso by Calé, 2008

Calè setted a very high standard with their compositions (Mistero, Perludio D'Oriente, Fulgor) but Dolce Riso is quite a disappointment. A fruity/citrusy opening turning into a sweeter and somehow scratchy woody/ambery drydown that's not so far from a bunch of fragrances from the Baldessarini's Del Mar serie. Nothing special and it definitely doesn't worth the price tag.

Similar to Etra by Etro, but as SirSlarty said it doesn't last long. Perhaps you'll get three strong hours if you spray several times. Also, I think I like the Etra blend better anyway. There is something irritating in the top notes of this one. The not pyramid seems accurate, but I'm curious about why this doesn't last very long, considering that some vanilla-based fragrances last a very long time. The rating is not based upon price (I don't know what it retails for, actually).

Creamy and sweet. Very rich tonka and vanilla base. Dolce Riso is a wonderful if yet fleeting scent.
