I thought it might be a gourmand I could like, but this is too foody for me. The fun Orange Creamsicle note is nice, easy-going and childhood-inducing. But I like a little more 'skin' and 'body' in my gourmands. If you're looking for comfort food in your fragrance, this will be a delight.

I first smelled this at the very start of my perfume journey, and of course, gave it a 5. When a perfume smells so good you want to drink it and dive into a pool of it, that is a 5 rating. I just rerated this fragrance to a 4, but really, I still feel the same. There is not complexity here, there is only the juicy orange that segways into a creamy vanilla that then transitions into a true semi-sweet vanilla. Not high art, but I continue to feel how well this accomplishes it's very simple goal. For a citrus semi-gourmand, you would be hard pressed to find a better representative. This is the orange of a fresh picked fruit. There is nothing synthetic feeling or smelling to me. The vanilla is creamy then austere, again uncomplicated, but true to it's purpose. It retains a slight orange feel all the way until the final drydown, mixing and mingling. Happy and carefree. And that is exactly what this fragrance does - smell good in a happy and carefree way. There is a place for this, I've no doubt.

FBW. HG. If I had to confine myself to one scent for the rest of my life, this would be it. At first spritz my nose & eyes crinkle at something very stingy-peppery but that immediately gives way to warm, deep, sweet, brown-sugar-and-bourbon-y loveliness. I get only a very faint whiff of orange at any time. I adore this frag with the heat of a thousand suns, but unfortunately the more often I wear it the less I seem to be able to smell it on myself. Still, my 8oz sample from TPC is almost gone :sniff: and I'm contemplating biting the big $240 bullet. I've never paid that much for perfume but really, it's only a matter of time. Because now that I've had it, I surely cannot live without it.

SO disappointing! I found nothing like a divine orange ice cream or a lemon syllabub combination of sharp and creamy in this scent. It is like medicine a sort of powdery, sickly, synthetic orange flavouring that youd use to make children swallow tablets. Euck! On me this is absolutely nauseating! Sorry.

Delicious, as in food. This is a simple yet deep fragrance. I believe that it has a high percentage of natural ingredients. Starts out smelling strongly of orange--not orange peel, but orange juice. The manner in which this huge orange note fades completely away makes me believe that it is real orange essence. It smells like it comes from orange pulp. The second act is vanilla, and, oh, what a gourmet vanilla it is. This is very sweet, drool-producing vanilla. It is dark and round and scrumptious. No off-notes are present. It is purely gorgeous vanilla. It, too, smells natural and fades completely off the skin with no afterburn. So, it starts out as orange, segues into creamy citrus, and ends up completely vanilla. The entire time, I want to gnaw my arm off. I got goosebumps wearing it. I want a bottle, but I don't know if I can live with myself. I know I will be compelled to bake vanilla cakes with orange frosting and big, braided loaves of sweet, orange bread.

The 1st 2 times I didn't like this, 3rd time was the charm. It grew on me. A little daub will do you. This is sweet, orangey/creamy with a bit of apricot down under, layered deep & succulent fruits. This is a surprise for me. I don't dig too sweet, or overly vanilla gourmands. I don't think this is one, at least not for me. Try first, though because this is just one that you may like or it just might rub you the wrong way. I find it intoxicating!

This is by far my favorite amber and one of the most unique. As with most Profumums, the quality and strength is outstanding. DeF is essentially amber/cistus with a strong orange blossom/citrus note mixed it. Is very vibrant and full. The citrus livens up the amber and keeps it from getting too sweet, while the amber cuts any sharpness or tang off the citrus.

With the exception of another Profumum - Volo AZ 686 - this is the longest lasting fragrance I've ever encountered. One spray is plenty and expect it to stay on your skin very noticeably for 20-24 hours.

Pricey for sure, but if you're going to invest in a unique amber, check this out. Although it's $240/100ml, the fact that so little goes so far is a big bonus.
