Not bad. Spicey, with a hit of floral and citrus notes. I detect some wood in the dry down of this one. The original should have been like this one. Seems like robbery when these designers come out with intense frags. If anything, make the first one good enough where you don't have to make the consumer pay for your mistakes. Oh yeah, by the way I would not buy this one......aahhh you think?

I don't know why they called this Intense. I smells just like the original and the staying power is probably the same, if not less intense. The covering on the bottle is leather. This fragrance does not last on the skin, it must be sprayed on clothing to even linger a little while. I would play it safe and buy Azzaro NOW instead. It smells identical to Essenza di Zegna, but last a LOT longer. I think you'll prefer the staying power of Azzaro NOW over E di Z.

Essenza di Zegna Intense is NOT an improvement over the original. I was quite interested in trying it since EZ is pretty good. The Intense version adds mint at the top and cypress wood at the base. So I thought this will be fresher and will have some good dry lingering wood tones. Well, any mint freshness is missing in action, in my opinion. EZI is a cloying, sweet wood scent like Tuscany or Rocabar. If you like those, try EZI. I find the powdery dry-down to be headache-inducing. Back to the original for me!

Very summery scent...mostly more of a daytime scent...evoccative of yachting off of the Amalfi coast then spending the afternoon drinking Limoncello in Sorriento while the medeteranian sun shines down on you, warming you, and making you glad to be alive...the scent is not what I'd call romantic, more friendly...this is a scent that doesnt take life too seriously, yet still, it enjoys every minute of it...

Spicy, woody, classically-Italian scent! It definitely stands out, but not in the way a Givenchy Pour Homme or Cuiron would; it all depends on how much you spray on. Hard to find in my area, except at the Sephora where I got mine. A reliable part of my scent arsenal. ;)

I like the Essenza Di Zegna and find it is one incredibly sexy scent. It is hard to get the Intense fragrance as this is a limited edition item but when available I recommend it as it is a heavier and more lasting version of the original. The Intense has a darker leather casing which is how you distinguish between the two. I don't think there is a men's fragrance to compare with this one. The bottle and the secnt make for this being a stylish item all round. Once you ahve smelt this, you won't go for anything else.
