Simply fantastic. I am still a bit new to the amazing world of fragrance, but have several nice bottles and loads of decants under my nose already. I blind bought this, and could not be happier. I put on 2 sprays this past Friday night, and within 2 seconds of entering the room, my wife and her guest, both mid 20's stopped in their tracks, enjoyed the scent, and then proceeded to rain down compliments, encouraging all to come smell me up close. This fragrance is sexy as hell, and not underrated i see from the other reviews here. It gets even better with each wear somehow. My first was a powdery scents, not my favorite, but it may have been due to being fresh out of the shower and it mixing with my body wash poorly. the second wear was simply divine, with plenty of longevity 8 hours later. Edit: months later, as my nose had advanced just a small bit, i must change to a neutral rating. Has tons of projection, but the great opening covers some of the synthetic stuff going on underneath. A few hours in i simply cannot stand it. Fantastic for the price though,

Opens up with a sharp, and pungent lavender and citrus combo, and dries down with an overdose of tonka bean, basically. I see the comparisons to La Nuit, TdH, and Allure Homme for sure. Problem is, those fragrances are well rounded, F Black is quite "rough around the edges". I loved it at first, but more so, because of all the positive reviews. After a while, I realized it was just another fragrance trying too hard to fit into what's in demand right now. F Black has its positives, it projects like a beast, and lasts forever, granted you like the smell. I enjoy the mid notes, where it becomes a smoother version of the opening with some spices and a little tonka; but beginning and end are turn offs. Has a chemical like odor throughout. Almost worthy of a thumbs down. You be the judge!

...Ok Olivier Polge...For this exercise I want you to reach into your massive box of crayons and find your 5 fravorite colors. Good, now draw the the most appropriate thing you can with the colors you've chosen. What do you think you could draw?... Oh, a nebula or the milky way? They both sound like wonderful ideas Olivier, that's a lovely shade of purple you got there. I think you'll do well... Good god I love this fragrance. It's very warm round and smooth. It's straight up sexy and not to complex. It's a minimalistic approach with only 5 notes, but it's a masterpiece. It's one of my favorite crayons in the box, and I reach for it often.

Intriguing at the beginning this new italian concoction that comes in this phase out running accross Chanel Allure, Joop Nightflight and the Badedas Noir shower foam (or if you prefer La Martina Cuero) with a subdued patchouli in the blend. I have to say in the meanwhile that first of all this is not expensive, second is a bracing sporty/casual fragrance (better) for the evening, third it starts semi fruity-aquatic (but not properly ozonic) and ends down with a mossy/ambery labdanum (plus a touch of patchouli) still holding a part of its fresh (simil berries) aqueous initial fruitiness. The beginning is citrusy (lemon/orange) and aqueous because of its watery and dusty aromatic lavender with its bracing coriander. The problem is the dry down when the synthetic, barely smokey and fruity amber/labdanum starts to rise up a bit powdery, exuding an YSL La nuit de l'Homme's type of feel that is so boring to me. Other problem is that the dry down unveils in the air the synthetic feel that is sheer since the beginning where anyway it's less notable because of the general freshness. Anyway, an acceptable tear in this huge olfactory ocean. P.S: i'm sorry, i have to change soon my rating cause after a while the smell becomes really too much synthetic on my skin.

F Black has a strong longevity and medium-high sillage and projection. Smells great and sexy with lots of tonka bean rounded by sweet lavender. That's a good surprise from this house. Worth it.

This one is a must have! Not much on notes, but I do know a good smelling fragrance. Received a bunch of compliments wearing this one. Not cloying but projects fairly well.

Pros: Smells great. Lasts and projects. Competes well with Le Male and Channel Allure.

Cons: It doesn't have Chanel or Jean Paul Gaultier written on the bottle.

Yep! This one is under the radar. Along the lines of Allure Homme and La Nuit by YSL. This actually smells better than both of those and lasts quite a long time. What really makes this fragrance stand out is it's dry down. Really smooth labdanum and Tonka bean drydown with just a hint of spice (pepper). Just the right amount of sweetness to make this a semi gourmand. Very well done.

This is one of the most underrated fragrances out there. After using Cool Water for so long, I've decided to use something different, something not aquatic. So I decided to take a risk and blind buy F Black. It was brilliant. As I'm living in Singapore, basically it's "summer" all year round, this lasts for more than 8 hours on me and it projects very well. Time to wear - Evening. Definitely recommended.

I like F Black a lot!!! I think there's beauty in simplicity and you don't have to spend a fortune on Ferragamo fragrances. I think Ferragamo is underated. This is one sexy fragrance get compliments all the time

This scent was surely designed for seduction. I'm pretty positive about it. It is very elegant, smooth, woody, spicy, masculine, serious, slightly powdery. Sillage and longevity are great, one should be careful when applying. This scent is a whole year rounder, although I presume it would develop best during cold weather, summer evenings - not bad, but only one spritz. I can see some connections with Terre d'Hermes, but also it has a certain similar vibe with Givenchy Very Irresistible For Men. Ferragamo is a house rarely mentioned, it remains so but without apparent reason as their scents are in general of good quality and highly appealing.
