This is a GREAT new scent from Jacomo. It looks like it's just going to be another blue water scent...but it's not. While it is fresh, it's also woody, warm and long lasting. I't's also not expensive. If you like fresh, warm, woody, and spicy...give this a try! Bought it today and completely agree with Joshaugustt ! A wonderfull mix of warm, fresh, woody and spicy... Jacomo makes good perfumes !

bought it thinking this one might have some similarity to GIT. I was completely wrong. the opening is so harsh and "chemical" It is LOUD and rough. I can smell a lot of violet...violet..violet...and musk, musk, musk. I think I prefer Cool water when choosing alternative of GIT.

The ultimate aquatic-by-way-of-salty-melon fragrance, Deep Blue competes with the giants of the genre (Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed) through excess rather than sophistication. I can picture Mr. Jacomo himself standing in his perfume factory in front huge vats of chemicals, thinking, then opening a valve marked "AQUATIC ACCORD" and walking away. The thing with fresh aquatic fougeres (or fougere-alikes) is that they mostly smell pretty good even if they're derivative or muddled. Deep Blue isn't muddled at all, and it's not even THAT derivative - as Perfaddict noted, there's woody things going on beneath the surface here. Plus it's amazingly underpriced, and not horribly synthetic. Perfectly pleasant for the summer. I nonetheless found it a little lifeless, and would reach for Grigio Perla, Aqua Quorum or GIT itself first. For the price you can't go wrong.

I can't stand the opening on this one. Extremely strong and synthetic. The dry down is fantastic and smells almost identical to GIT, but it takes over a half an hour or more to get there. Cool Water Frozen is a much better option if your looking for a GIT knockoff.

Jacomo, IMO, has done it again. One word review: Sublime.

For olfactory reference, if you have smelt Cool Water, Wings and Green Irish Tweed, you will feel that JdJDB is quite familiar. DB takes all that is good from them and blends them very well. DB is another interpretation of the violet theme. This time it is given a certain allure with the pepper. The colour of the bottle and the name of the scent alludes to an aquatic scent. However, believe DB is primarily a spicy woody scent, with aquatic nuances (does this make sense? If not, please pardon me). DB dries down to a nice woody musk accord.

DB has respectable sillage. People will definitely like the trail left by it. Longevity-wise, i smelt DB directly off my chest while changing after a day at work. At work i was delighted by the constant beautiful fragrance. That makes longevity on my skin 12+ hours before fade.

I like DB very much, and over the years i know i will love it a lot.
