Smells like a soapy ashtray, disgusting! I was going to use this as a toilet freshener until I realised I didn't want my bathroom smelling like this. I gave it away to a room mate in the end

An interesting one. Conran Man opens with a very sharp blast of citrus and smoky hay. Eventually this gives way to a a softer and slightly minty anis note that will stay with you for the rest of the day. This is an ultra-masculine and not very sophisticated scent, but under the right circumstances I really like it (although my wife doesnt). Conran Man comes into its own in cold weather the colder the better. It reminds me of a walk in a snowy pine forest where you suddenly come by a burnt-out camp fire. This scenery runs non-stop on my inner movie whenever I wear this fragrance, preferably under a thick woollen sweater. And, as other reviewers have pointed out, it will compliment a smoker. Its a bit crude though, and it should not command a premium price. If you can find it at a discount price and you can it is well worth a try for its winter qualities. But dont even think about using it in hot weather. All in all: thumbs up!

Yeah i agree its ok as a day to day scent - compliments the smell of smoke (if ur a smoker ) clean and crisp -but ultimately forgettable . Pass.........

Its strange how this is very similar to Creed Original Vetiver....minus some soapiness. There is a smoky essence to it, and true to its name, it is ultra masculine. This would be another fragrance for one who is a smoker as it complements the scent of tobacco nicely. Perfect for office and daytime wear. If not for the fact that it is similar to Mugler's Cologne and Creed Original Vetiver, I would rate it with 4 stars. Put it this way, if you can find this cheaper than Creed Original Vetiver, you've got a great bargain. A quality fragrance.

What I get from this one is, on the startout a very bitter vetiver mixed with 1984 Armani for Men. That's it! Dries down to milder blend of the two but it's still lemon, clove sandlewood and a softened version of that Vetiver note.
A bit dissapointing as Jasper seems to be trading on his Father's name without breaking any new ground here......

Opens like cigarette-ends in the bottom of a coffee cup.Tobacco lasts into the drydown which reminds me of warm PVC,sweetening with time.
I'm surprised that the other reviews have been so non-commital and maybe this just doesn't agree with my skin-type.
Quirky and memorable frag, just not very pleasant...and no staying power either.

I got a sample and without any expectations tried it on. I immediately began "mmmmm, this is very nice, very fresh and sparkling, I know this scent," thinking and thinking, "what could it - Mugler's Cologne!" I love it, despite the lack of originality, and find it slightly less musty than Cologne.

This is very ordinary, its has very strong lemon scent, and the drydown is awful, its nothing special that justifies the price.

NOTHING GOING ON WITH THIS SCENT! It's what I'd call a "non" scent. It's liquid bland. I don't dislike it, but there's nothing to pay money for or get excited about. Try it before you buy it. J. Augustt 11/06/03
