My purchase of what was one of my all time favorite scents gave me the BLUES. What I remember as a fresh apple kind of smell has turned into one of those pretend perfume sticks I got as a child. Boo. The bottle is still gorgeous, but Ew to the scent.

I feel it is a crime what has been done to this beautiful fragrance. At one time this was the most beautiful "fresh" fragrance you could wear, and now the reformulation is a watery, weak version of what it once was. Occasionally you can get a whiff of what it once was, and I keep a small bottle around for nostalgia sake. The thumbs up is for what it used to be. The best way I can sum it up is this fragrance has lost its soul.

NOT the same as the original, which was light and fresh but with a haunting, even profound undertow. This is banal and two-dimensional, a shadow of its original late-70s/early-80s formulation. Saved from a thumbs-down only because it's too insipid to be terrible, and because I so cherish the source material.

This perfume is mentioned in the book "The Bombshell Manual of Style" under the category "Fragrances a Bombshell Never Wears". I disagree. This fragrance is what a Bombshell would wear when trying to wear eyeglasses to seduce a man that hangs out at the library. It is a beautiful fragrance, and I have loved it ever since I got a sample of it for my mom when I was about 8 years old at the mall. The sample came attached to a satin heart shaped pillow that spent the rest of it's life on the bed in my Barbie's dream house. It is a subtle fragrance, floral, but somber, sophisticated, yet the kind of sophisticated that would have a picnic lunch on the lawn at a university. I have this fragrance, I wear it occasionally, and it is one of many in my arsenal that will always have it's place.

I found this in the back of my perfume drawer this morning. I've had it for years. It smells pretty good to me and my husband seems to like it. Not sure it will ever be one of my really big favorites but it is pleasant enough for a Saturday afternoon.

I wore this thoughout my teenage years back in the 80's. Every friend of mine wore this as well, we were a walking cloud of smell back then. I thought it was a wonderful scent but haven't smelled it for at least 15 years, alright who am I kidding 20 years. Recently, I found a vintage, unreformulated version and boy do I still like this scent, the combination of flowers and greens is still amazing after all these years. I can still smell the carnation and violets.

I've been fighting the urge to buy this, trying to convince myself that it's not my era, too old, reformulated etc, etc. However, even the new watered-down version is so much more interesting than 90% of perfumes today. The scent is delightfully off-kilter and utterly different from the fruity florals that are popular with young women today.

I'll be picking it up, very likely, next time I see it in the store.

I was given this as a gift. Smells like mashing your nose into a dandelion. Lasted well, and other people loved it. Very unusual, I definitely want another bottle. Very dry. I'll edit the review once I get another bottle.

Being the first Lauren fragrance for women, it seems to have the best composition effort put forth from this design house (in my opinion). It is an unusual combination of 'old fashioned' florals like violet, carnation and rose paired with top notes of green and base notes of wood. It is quite representive of the later 1970's when designer fashion really took hold amongst the masses! To this day I enjoy revisiting this scent. It 'wakes me up' and refreshes! I also love the bottle! (I must add, the newer reformulated juice is nowhere near the quality of the original - snag a vintage bottle, if you can!)
