Pros: Versatile, smells good, and affordable.

Cons: Another sport fragrance. Nothing that'll blow you away.

Yes, it's yet another flanker and most of them do smell very similar. This flanker is more of the same, but I enjoy this because the floral note is muted and there's more of a focus on the nutmeg. This is something that can be worn to work or casually. Could also be a signature fragrance if you enjoy sport fragrances. If your looking to buy a version of Issey Mikaye, Sport is probably the one to get. One of the better sport fragrances on the market.

Displays a distinct kinship with the original (which is good news to the many who like it). The sporty side of this fragrance eludes me, though. Instead of going simpler and fresher, it plods into a synthetic, greasy sweetness I remember from Lacoste pour Homme.

First impression of this one is not so good. I am a big fan of the original and this one didn't do it for me. Perhaps its the nutmeg or something, but this frag just seems a bit dirty and not in a good way. I will give it a longer wear soon, maybe my mind will change UPDATE May 2013 (I originally gave this a thumbs down) So, I decided to wear this one again and the result was completely different! The opening is still not to my liking, but after that harshness goes away the result is just short of wonderful. Longevity is, in fact, wonderful and I think I have done a 180 on this frag.

A LOT tamer than the original. also not really sporty in sense of traditional sport frags.( polo sport, allure sport). ok citrus opening with a spicy finishing. the nutmeg and cedar are the 2 most prominent notes here. very basic from this house but i do enjoy it. a good evening scent..

One of the better "sport" flankers out there, but that said, doesn't break any new ground. I find this more wearable than the original, which I admire as a work of art but which feels harsh and head-ache inducing (to me). The nutmeg note in this is very reminiscent of Allure Homme and Allure Homme Sport. It is well done, balanced, well-blended, good longevity, good sillage. If there weren't already 10 other fragrances like it out there, it would be outstanding. It is an example of the impact that Acqua di Gio has had on the market. This is sweeter and less abstract that AdG, and lacks some of the effervescent freshness of AdG. Still, a very good fragrance for any age, inoffensive, wearable in most settings.

I own the original, but I like the sport version. I'ts slightly toned down from the original's citrus blast at the initial spray. I like the original's drydown better than the sport though.

i tried a sample of this at a store and i was really impressed by its freshness and uniqueness and it stayed on my skin for a long long time..even though the projection was just average. i like this one better than the original, maybe because i'm already bored of the original and this was something different and unique. i'm definitely buying a bottle

This is a fresh, perky and very pleasant sport fragrance. Projection is great on my skin and longevity is decent. I prefer this to the original because it smells smoother and doesn't have the sharp/sour yuzu tang that the original had. The nutmeg note predominates in this flanker. Yes, L'eau d'Issey Sport is not a terribly special or complex fragrance, but that is its strength - it was meant to be a crowd-pleasing, unoffensive and genuinely sporty scent, and it doesn't try to be more than that. Buy this if you are looking for a sports scent or a day fragrance with a clean, youthful vibe.

I got a sample for this and got about three wearings out of it. Starts with a pine sol citrus and green scent with an astringent, alcohol nostril burn. Thankfully that calms down quickly leaving a citrus, aquatic and woody aroma for a small amount of time. Then that quickly settles into a pure cedar on my skin for the next couple of hours. Not bad, but I already have cedar scents so it's not necessary for me to get another. But it's a semi fresh scent that is nice for warm days at the office.

Why? Is it a trend? Well of course it is a trend. Why would one want to wear this one, albeit I have to admit that the scent is really good, ironically. When compared to the original and its intense version, this one is just not up to the task. Iteration indeed, as mentioned here by member "Andrewthecologneguy", but non the less a pleasing iteration.
