I wish Lucky You did smell like Irish Spring but on my skin it does not. It is fresh smelling but I don't get a soapy fresh I get more of a grass scent. A little goes a long way and unfortunately this becomes cloying on my skin if more than one or two sprays is applied. I agree with others who state this is a more wearble version of 'Curve". Although I will wear it it won't be often as there is nothing very special here. Nice bottle though.

I bought a sample of this stuff, I had ran out of my only fragrance whilst on vacation, and had a party to attend.. To my surprise, this stuff was a huge compliment getter, although, this could be because, I was more than likely the only person there, wearing something other than old spice/axe.. if anything at all. I personally like it alot, though it unfortunately reminds me a tad of Brut, just.. much more fresh, better, not dirty. Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 5/10 Versatility: 8/10 Smell: 7/10 Overall: 6/10

I like to think of this as Mugler Cologne for a younger audience, although it's not as soapy nor as bitter but rather sweeter and more floral. I went through 2 bottles of this in my teens and for good reason. It just works! No other fragrance I've tried truly captures the complexity of Spring like Lucky You. Call me crazy! The floral opening, with the cotton flower and melilotus herb, blends so nicely with the woody notes in the heart and base. I also get a hint of vetiver throughout the life of the fragrance as well. Longevity is about 4-6 hours and it's projection is moderate. The best part is that a 3.4 oz can be had for under $20 and the shower gel and lotion can be had for a few extra bucks give or take. Either way, it's a wonderful cheapie that's great for the summer and spring months. Now, imagine yourself in a giant field out in the countryside in the middle of spring. The air is not at all humid. It's just a cool, breezy day, partly coudly, and everything around you seems alive. The field is full of dark green grass with flowers scattered about as they sway in the breeze. You're sitting under the shade of a giant oak tree just admiring nature in all it's beauty and wonder. You close your eyes and nature's aroma puts you at peace. That's what Lucky You is for me. I love this stuff! My final rating B+

I bought this because I read numerous times that it smells like Irish Spring soap. I don't think it does. Smells pleasant upon very first impression but after lingering, it smells of cheap synthetics. I tried to like it but it isn't something I would wear. I use it as an air freshener for my car (that's what it smells like!)

Smells like irish spring soap in a bottle with a little bit of sweetness thrown in. Very affordable and a decent scent for a younger man on a budget. Definately better than Curve and the only Liz Claiborne scent I can stand.

I dont agree with most people here. The longevity is horrible. I agree, its about 2-5 hours. To me thats just terrible longevity and 5 hours is the maximum amount. Its mostly gone by then. That being said, the fragrance isnt too bad. It reminds me of a "Fresh Musk". I also use this to spray my sheets at times to freshen up the room. I would not recommend this one though.

Yeah, the chemical smell is just too overbearing in Lucky You for Men. I remember this being one of the first colognes I ever purchased as a teenager, and it's always had that fresh and green smell marred down by a chemical/calone accord that just overpowers everything else. Not my cup of tea.

The bottle is pretty cool. And that's where my positive reviews end.

I got this stuff as a gift, and I honestly don't know what happened to my bottle. I think I may have sold it off on eBay... but I don't remember. It smells like a nice scent when it's in the bottle, but it smells terrible when I spray it on my skin. I used to use this stuff as air freshner for my bedroom.

I tried very hard to like this scent. I really did. But in the end I just can't stand it. Best way to describe the scent would be juvenile. There some nice notes in the pyramid, but it does absolutely nothing for me. Very forgettable scent, and I'm somewhat surprised it's still in production (must be that cool green bottle!).

Now here's a scent that doesn't even live up to its el-cheapo price. It starts off OK, with a light green lemony accord, but it's extremely weak and barely perceptible. Things fall apart quickly, and this basically smells like you're wearing liquid laundry detergent on your skin. Annoying and pointless!

MY RATING: 3/10

I'm quite glad my original review didn't get published yet, leaving me time to do a more intense review of this. Lucky You brings those nasty chemical odors to the table, as only Claiborne can do. I'm not 100% sure the Lucky house is part of Claiborne, but I've been told it is, and judging by the structure and smell of most of their fragrances, it certainly feel this way.

If you get that harsh chemical note from Curve, you'll get it here, only much more magnified. Strangely enough, I find it tolerable in Lucky You because I enjoy the notes more than I do Curve. both are fairly similar, but Lucky You has a more complex dry down. the opening is a citrus blast, but it's not at all tangy like you get from many citrus fragrances, it's not entirely sweet either which leaves it with this rather natural smell. I'd say if the chemical odor weren't there, I would believe that somebody cut up fresh oranges, lemons, limes, and mandarins and jammed them into the bottle some how. Another plus about this fragrance, especially for being cologne strength is that it projects quite well, and not just during the opening, but for the middle and base as well. The middle becomes a little more floral, and the base becomes more woodsy. Longevity is anywhere from 4-6 hours, but sometimes you may get 8+.

I just can't get over this chemical smell, I'm beginning to think they put it in there on purpose because it's so dominating here. I find that unlike Curve though, when Lucky You gets applied in moderation, the chemical odors aren't as noticeable. At the end of the day we get another generic citrus fragrance, but slightly more recognizable than others. I do like the bottle very much, but I won't be purchasing this again.
