The manufacturer webpage shows two MdM perfumes, MdM White and MdM Black, this review is for MdM Black: WOW, what a magnificent scent: Opening Notes Mandarin Orange, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Bitter Orange, Lemon, Neroli, Elemi and Rosemary. Heart: Cinnamon, Lavender, Rose, Cloves, Gaïacwood and Nutmeg. Basenotes: Patchouli, Oakmoss, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Musk, Vanilla, Incense and Tonka Bean. It starts citrusy but turns spicy/woody with hints of flowers to finish as a glorious woody patchuli very well supported by the incense/vetiver, it is somewhat dark (oakmoss) and sweet due to the tonka/vanilla/musk. Sillage and longevity are better than most, but not strong enough to blow you away. This is an outstanding fragrance that not just smells good, but also smells expensive and sophisticated. My other experiences with Marc de la Morandiere, "M pour Monsieur" and "Bleu de Chine" are really outstanding fragrances, and I hear that "Genghis Khan" is also extremely good so I do not understand why M de la M perfumes are so hard to get here in the USA.
