This is a very mysterious fragrance for me. Definitively oriental, animalistic and erotic. I believe this fragrance suits brunettes rather than blonds. I wear it with light silk scarf in the evening.

Opening: Dentist office Drydown: Pencil shavings Not an unpleasant scent by any means, but I really don't understand the hype around this one.

A pretty solid fragrance. The projection is a little above average and the longevity is average. It's definitely one of my more unique scents but in a very good way. It's very mature but can definitely be pulled off by a college student. Most people around me loved the scent as well. Think of a doctor's office (trust me, it's in a good way) with a cherry blast. 9.0/10

I so very much wanted to like this so very much! I spent ages seeking the authentic (non-counterfeit) original (non-reformulated), always suspicious and always doubting, because I did not want to be exposed to anything but the real thing, because I'd read such amazing things about Yves Saint Laurent's M7 -- but I was extremely disappointed, upon the first wearing, upon the second wearing, and today may very well be the third & final wearing. Every aspect smells cheap and synthetic. Dime-store candy. Milk-chocolate. Cherry vanilla.

The house YSL, has a terrible distribution here in my country, and find M7 was a real ordeal. Years of fruitless searches, until one day I came upon him unexpectedly. I could not believe my eyes, the legendary M7. Immediately and without hesitation grabbed the tester, wooooo. All the expectations placed in him the more than fulfilled. M7 starts resinous but slight, somewhat fresh and citrus inciensada (that stroke of cough syrup quickly disappears). Passing the minutes appears smoky vetiver giving a very mild tone, deep down. A few hours later, oud wood significantly intensifies, becoming quite aromatic, exotic, dusty (my girl says atalcada and is right), a little more inciensada, sweeter, but still keeping some of their initial freshness (perceive even a hint of citrus, but quite weak). After that pleasant olfactory journey, I did not hesitate and bought the only bottle in existence. As for its projection and durability; magnificent. M7 is a fragrance with "character", thus not to buy blindly, but after almost a year of use, I can say with certainty that love to those around you. P.D: The vaporizer is a true wonder.

M7 doesn't smell like sex in a bottle and it isn't so over-the-top masculine that the right, confident woman couldn't wear it. In fact, I encourage women to try this. What M7 is, is a beautiful incense scent, that's so well rounded and intriguing that you will want to keep smelling your wrists and everybody (men & women) will definitely ask you what you're wearing. It's in the vein of Balsamo Della Mecca, which is an all natural incense scent, which I sometimes layer M7 with. However, the BDM is so full of natural materials that it highlights how synthetic M7 is in contrast. With that said, it doesn't make M7 any less beautiful.

I smelled this fragrance back in 2003 and found it to be absolutely horrendous. As a result, I did not purchase it. In 2012, I traveled to Europe and smelled the warm oudish amberish smell in the air and loved it. I asked the person at the airport and found out it was the M7. Back in NY, I called every fragrance shop and got hold of two old amber and two reformulated ones. I love it. Once the Oud settles down, the amber and musc is amazing, unlike any other fragrance. I receive alot of compliments and wife loves it as well. BTW, this was created by Tom Ford, the ex-head of YSL. In his own private line, Tom Ford's Oud Wood is very similar, but with more depth with hefty price tag, such as Amouage Jubilation XXV.
