Modigliani Uomo is a contemporary of Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme so I cannot be sure which copied which. Suffice it to say they are similar. Modigliani is more smoky and for the first half hour or so it has a weird almost beef jerky spicy and smoky texture. It swings from leather to Slim Jim during this period - I guess it could be classified as interesting if smoked meats are your thing. After a couple of hours it subsides and becomes more of a leather, cognac and cedar scent: think Gucci Pour Homme or Courvoisier LEdition Imperiale. If, like me, you find D&G a tad lacking this is an alternative although the longevity is not stellar and the strange first hour is challenging.
