Must De Cartier Pour Homme Vert Anis by Cartier, 2001

A lovely green anise-based scent than has touches of wood and light musk added in; it is blended superbly. Whilst according to the ingredients it could be described as a light gourmand scent, it is more of a warm green fougère with anise added. Its sweetness is always very subtle, as the whole scent is restrained and very close to my skin from the very start. Longevity approaches three hours on my skin.

On the side of the great original you can try this flanker that stresses the accent over the note of anise, turning out the final exotic-musky-laundry  powder (yet proper of the original Must Pour Homme) as a more cool and aromatic one. The projection is more powerful and you will be enveloped in a (even distinguished) cool-aromatic and soaring cloud of talky anise, musk, powdery tobacco, cedar and neroli, with a rosey-laundry undertone and a touch of ozone.  A great exotic scent for oceanic sailing man.

This might be one of my favorite aromatic spice scents. It is very understated, very smooth, and very warm. The spices are many including cinnamon and clove. the herbal notes are sweet and dark, and the wood base is smooth and not too dry. Excellent scent that is a step above the already good quality brought by the Cartier line.

Must de Cartier pour Homme Vert Anis(2001) is one that i recommend over the original. It is slightly more complex and much more long lasting. I wore the original yesterday and it lasted about 5 hours which is fine for me, but this one will go beyond 7 easily, plus the anise note is sublime and provides a lovely trail to follow.
