Yes, it's a fougere, but I wouldn't classify it as woody or leathery. It's unusual, I'd even say unique, at least to my nose.

I would classify the "new" Onyx Pearl as probalby the most masculine fragrance in the Agonist range. After the brand's claim of having reorchastrated all of their fragrances with 100% natural ingredients and relaunching the whole line in cheaper, regular 100ml bottles, you know what Onyx Pearl smells like? Synthetic woods around a leathery-fougere-y structure. Very fougere-y. Despite the absence of most of the typical fougere elements, it still smells like a classic fougere. It has a STRONG deja-vu vibe. The fragrance turns, during the drydown, intensely woody and oudy in a bad, uninspired way. Not much interesting. Pass.
