It's been a while since I previously tried this, but I still remember it being sweeter and more floral than other vetivers. It opens very crisp and grassy, with what almost seems like a hint of mint. Much like Bobby Jones, it really makes me think of a lawn or a golf course. It's quiet in a kind of balanced way, which I'm somehow convinced is due to their not using any of the sharper-smelling natural oils (definitely a synthetic vibe!). Later on there gets to be more soil and less grass, almost straying into the violetty woods regime of He Wood and its flankers. It's not as strong as I recalled, but then I guess they're putting it in a "cologne" series since it's an EdC? Toward the end I start to recognize the inky component of the vetiver, but I still feel like I somehow missed something here. I thought I recalled it being more natural, but it's still decent, and it seems to recover strength and return to a more normal vetiver smell by the end. I'm giving it a reluctant thumbs-up in part because of how cheap it is and how long it lasts.

vetiver is a scent that u cannot go very wrong with... coupled with the citrusy note, vettiveru smells invigorating to me. the huge 17 oz bottle also means u can splash it around liberally and indulge in this somewhat old-school but nonetheless very pleasant and "cooling" scent.

I can easily say that Vettiveru is a valid candidate to be considered one of the best bang for the buck when it comes to vetivers. An incredibly nice composition that improves the eau de cologne formula with a slightly "dirty" vetiver note. The overall effect is quite intriguing with the clean aspect given by the neroli/bergamot/florals combo juxtaposed to a dominant vetiver note that add a earthy/salty vibe that's at the same time refreshing and invigorating. Great lasting power, nice projection, very reasonably priced. One of the best "fresh" vetivers around. Recommended!

A sheer vetiver that achieves warmth through some hay notes, and dryness through some lemon-mineral notes. It's nice. But, like others here have mentioned, it's not particularly compelling. It gives a I-use-very-nice-soap vibe.

Here downunder we're in the warmer months of the year. It's beautiful to wake up to a fresh morning and cycle along Melbourne's Yarra river in order to get to work. The sun is up but not burning yet, and everything just seems alive. Once I get to the office I shower before getting ready for my day. That's the time where I enjoy wearing & testing the few bottles and decants that I have in the office. I've owned a splash bottle of Vettiveru for over a year now and it is ideal for the warmer months. Firstly, I must admit that I love a splash bottle of cologne. It's bracing and rejuvenating, a completely different experience to the spray. What surprises me about Vettiveru is its depth and complexity. I'm not a fan of rooty vetivers but this is blended masterfully. The citrus sharpens the opening, whilst a hint of neroli softens the heart. It's the vetiver though that owns center stage from start to finish, without ever getting swampy. Truth in advertising then. Vettiveru is proof that niche perfumery can be accessible, reasonably priced, and very easy to enjoy. Love it!

I don't have a lot to add to the previous reviews...I find this to be a fairly natural vetiver, but of the "fresh" variety. This is like the brooding Encre Noir's upbeat little brother. What strikes me the most about this is the phenomenal depth and longevity it has for an EDC. A conservative application to the chest at 07:00 this morning is still going strong and smelling great at 9:25 PM. Not it's not a sillage monster, but if it wasn't printed on the bottle, I'd never believe that this was an EDC. Summary: A great, long-lasting "fresh" vetiver fragrance, great for everyday wear. Great value considering its staying-power.

Discovered by accident in London. One spray and I was hooked after sampling. Went back for it and it was sold out. I am glad I hunted it out. It is super long lasting and comes and goes and you keep catching the scent. Not too earthy and the citrus scent combined with cedar is good. I didnt think it was dry - I thought it had an oily smell thay I liked. Over do it and get carried away with the spraying and I could still smell it after washing mt shirt. Truely lovely and well priced.

I'm not much of a fan of colognes in general. They're ok really, but their usual longevity issues, amongst other traits, means I tend to ignore them mostly.
However, I was very pleasantly surprised with Vettiveru, and found that it's longevity is actually pretty good for a cologne, lasting much longer than I expected.
It opens with pretty much a typically "cologn-y" accord and "vibe", (which of course, is only to be expected !) But one that is, of course, laced with much vetiver. But it's a clean "light-weight" vetiver, that is devoid of any "earthiness" or "dirt", "rootiness" or anything "harsh" about it. Just a plain, soft and charming grassy vetiver. Which then intensifies somewhat, blended with some cedar and light florals, whilst that "cologn-y" vibe from the start unexpectedly recedes and fades away almost completely. As the scent progresses it unfortunately starts to loose most of the vetiver too, and starts to develop instead stronger neroli (orange-flower) and more clean "soapy" notes. (very reminiscent of Prada's type of "soapy notes").
So, all in all, it's a very nice refreshing frag', that will have you smelling "just-stepped-out-of-the-shower" clean, hours after application.
It's also, I would say, the perfect "entry-level" type of vetiver, or the vetiver for those of you not too fond of the "deeper", "richer" and "smokier" varieties. So, whilst far from being my ideal type of vetiver. It's still a very pleasant scent, and a nice vetiver for the summer months ! ... Though I do wish the vetiver was not quite so fleeting. (Still, the scent itself lasts pretty much most of the day, on me, so I have no longevity issues with it !)

What a sleeper this one is!

Vetiver + Incense = Aquatic?

Perhaps it is the salty/citrus note. I don't know. I do know this is an unusual, well crafted, summer scent.
However, months after discovering Vettiveru, I find Annick Goutal's Vetiver similar and more wearable.
The 'weird' mid note in Vettiveru (cedar? sundry ozonic attempts?) now turn me off.
But objectively, it's a thumbs up
