Yuck. I have very little patience for scents that try to juxtapose realistic notes with intentionally weird synthetics. If you remember 80's hairspray, not the aerosol, but the kind in the pump that smelled like burnt plastic, Petal goes on smelling like that. Soon, a cheap synthetic green melon wells up and mixes with the plastic hairspray smell, making the whole thing smell like an overheating computer in a Purell factory. Eventually, it goes soapy and floral, but with that plastic Purell smell always there, tainting everything. To be honest, the first time I wore Petal, I found it strangely compelling, like a car crash I couldn't help but pay attention to, but with subsequent wearings, the horror factor wore off, leaving me with a perfume I simply don't like.
