long lasting and projection is solid. a bit bland and chemically smelling but for the price, i can't complain. the mid notes of thyme and cardamon are key players that are satisfactory until the veviter kicks and moss take over.2 bad tonka and amber have no presence in this or imo it would be a definate charmer.

Alcohol heavy opening salvo quickly gives way to an attractive fresh apple minty floral that is very attractive and manages to smell the most natural of any of the Perry Ellis openings. Loc Dong injects a layer of white currant that certainly adds a balance to the more acidic elements of the green apple as Gypsy mentions, but it is also the interaction of the floral middles (lily and geranium) and the noticeable spicy touch of cardamom that create a very light and sexy atmosphere that allows the apple to float over the top with ease. Perry Ellis Portfolio Elite is beautifully blended and balanced, an excellent bargain and beyond just being a work fragrance like the original Portfolio, this one is far more versatile and can be used at night. In fact, there are no real limitations to PE Portfolio Elite, it has the makings of an excellent signature scent, though it does suffer from being extremely linear after the opening. Still, the projection and longevity are both exceptional, with 8-10 hours the norm on my skin. Along with Perry Ellis 360 Red and Perry Ellis Reserve, Perry Ellis Portfolio Elite is one of the showpieces of the Perry Ellis line and can often be spotted at discount prices. One of the best affordable fragrances for men I have come across. Exceptional and certainly good enough to justify it elitist pretensions on the box.

Nice little oakmossy scent. Starts off rather bland but dries down quickly into a fougere based moss with very green notes. Very subtle but long lasting. Nice stuff for a decent price. Very similar to Perry Ellis 360.

Portfolio Elite is still one of my favorites. I wore this in the tropics in 2002 and it smelled just great. Mixes real well with my chemistry. On me you can really smell the vetiver, apple, and tonka. Very pleasant. I guess a lot has to do with a guys own body chemistry. Too bad this is no longer available in the dept stores but many of the independent frag shops do carry it.

This is a mild, pleasant, masculine fragrance. The tonka and musk in the base are a little too well tempered. Portfolio Elite says, "the nice smelling guy in accounting." It doesn't last long and stays close to the skin as well.

Although I like the smell, it's just not me.

This one draws many compliments from the ladies I work with. It is a very manly, upscale version of the more youthful, CK Crave-like Portfolio original. This one lasts a long time, and can be worn casually or formally, IMO. The bottle itself attracts a lot of favorable remarks! When I spray a sample on my lady co-workers' wrists, they swear they'd get Portfolio Elite for their boyfriends! ;-)

A slightly reworked version of Portfolio, and one I like slightly better. Good casual or office scent, though I don't consider it right for the night life scene. Not loud or overpowering
