I got a spray vial sample of this stuff awhile back. I actually got quite a few wearings out of it. I guess Joop! is good for creating powerful frags. I probably won't buy a bottle, but I'll miss this unique ambery wood concoction.

Its hard for me to expect anything less than explosive olfactory aggression for something labeled Joop! But Joop! Rococo doesnt take after its elders and it doesnt explode. It is a relatively staid wood / pepper fragrance that delivers an enjoyable opening of balanced spices, a heart of quiet florals, and a base that's green and not-too-sweet, masculine woody base. The levels and the movement have presence and depth, but they are not overblown or overdone. Besides being agreeable, the notes strike me as being quite natural, they offer good sillage, and they present a very good longevity. Rococo is not exciting its strength is its pleasing competence and wearability.

It is not clear who is who borrowed the formula, but in my humble opinion - JOOP! Rococo Homme and Versace Jeans Couture Man - twin brothers... at the same time - one year of birth - 2002... :))

In any case, Rococo good alternative for those who love Jeans Couture - because at last time it is very difficult to find on sale...

This is so similar to Cacharel's Nemo - because of the rich incense (styrax) and pepper feel. While Nemo is sweeter and an extrovert and better in my opinion, Rococo is darker and introvert, very personal and intimate.
Unfortunately it does not last long and is quite shy when it comes to others to "smell" me . Anyway this is a worthy fragrance.

Quite personable spicy woody scent, reminds me just eensy-weensy bit of Serge Lutens`s Chene without beeswax / honey note.

Dark and quite peppery pencil shavings with rich styrax sweetness. Lots of grey amber in the base.

I find the lasting power and the sillage quite disapointing.

Nice and spicy that gives off an almost anise scent to it. Not as headache-inducing as Joop! Homme and is rather quite wearable for a night out. The smells and feels very much like Celine pour Homme (released a year before) which you can find much cheaper at discount stores. Though no notes correspond to one another, the overall experience is the same.

Joop Rococo for Men is a real sleeper of a fragrance. I've worn it the past seven days straight and it's compelled me to post this postive review.

Initially when I bought it, I thought it was not really my type, but it really grew on me. Here's what sold me on it and made me give it another look--once, I was in an elevator and I had just applied Rococo. When the door closed, this strange girl leaned in and sniffed me. Then she kind of went limp and just collapsed into my arms (I think she had been drinking). She remained there with her head on my shoulder until my floor came and I had to leave. A pretty nice moment we had. No words really, just a brief encounter.

So that got me thinking more about Rococo, and how much I like it. It does ginger notes really nicely--in fact it kind of reminds me of red fruit punch and ginger cookies. It's well balanced, seductive, and offbeat. Kind of makes me think of something a friend from Europe would be wearing. It's just slightly quirky enough to be mysterious. Complete antithesis to the hordes of Aqua di Gio type scents. This scent works anywhere, and would be a really good first-date scent, as it is well rounded and yet still has that air of mystery.

The bottle is cool as hell too!

Rococo is an interesting fragrance. The bottle would receive, only by itself, a thousand of thumbs up!

I just love the notes! And I'm not really into woody fragances! The start is very spicy, I can feel the pepper all around it, and it dries down to very sweet woody notes...

Unfortunately, it doesn't last much. It just vanishes after two or three hours! What a pity! Wish it could last longer on my skin.. Even the scent that always stays in the clothe you're wearing vanishes...

This fragrance starts with a nice spicy smell surrounded by woods that quickly gives place to a green/floral smell...Its drydown is extremely similar to VERSACE JEANS COUTURE's one! It's a nice green fragrance after all!
