A lot of fragrances don't last long on me, especially EdT's, but I've never had one with less longevity than this one. It started out as a sweet, basic, watery rose. Pretty, but nothing special. Then it was gone, in literally less than a minute. I couldn't even smell a base. There are a lot of really nice rose scents out there with a lot more staying power than this one. If you do want this one, I'd recommend seeking out the EdP at the very least. There are similar and longer-lasting scents in both the higher and lower price ranges. It does layer well with some rose soliflores, but even a "reasonable" mainstream price is too much to pay for something you have to all but bathe in before it's noticeable.

What a glorious rose! I definitely did not expect to find a rose scent of this calibre from such a well-known, mainstream brand. Rose Essentielle is pure loveliness. Being absolutely perfect for Spring and Summer wear, this is a sweet and slightly powdery take on a pretty, pink rose note. Classy, feminine and smooth, each and every note in this composition works in unison. With most rose scents, the rose note tends to become too sharp and somewhat tart-like throughout the fragrance's development. In the case of Rose Essentielle, this is not an issue. This fragrance is easy to wear and effortlessly pretty. It's lightness and subtle berry sweetness only adds to its widespread appeal. Initially this fragrance goes on rather strong, with a rich, jammy rose, highlighted by the berry notes and the violet. After a few hours the scent settles into a delicate, powdery rose, which is thankfully not the soapy kind. Lady-like, refined and romantic, this fragrance encouraged me to get in touch with my feminine side. The lasting strength is very good, especially for that of such a soft, light fragrance. I can see Rose Essentielle being worn well in every season, both casually and formally. It has just the right amount of realistic roses and complexity to make this fragrance absolutely outstanding.

Love this scent. It is perfect to layer on other Bvlgari fragrances, my favorite being Blv EDP II. I have the edt and it does not last a very long time which is the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars. It's great to spray on after another scent is fading, to give it a boost. Also perfect on its own if you want a quiet, close to the skin scent.

This is my absolute favorite fragrance. Floral and spice without being too sweet or masculine. A perfect combination. I found that the dry down was a sweet warm musk, very sexy. A perfect date fragrance! Super romantic!

I loved this when I tried it in a department store. It stayed with me all day. A sophisticated rose smell. I couldn't wait to own it. When I first put it on it has a powdery smell I don't care for but it disappears quickly and turns into a wonderful rose scent. My only complaint is it has no longevity. Very disappointing!

Three different sites give very different top notes for this fragrance. Top Notes: Ottoman Rose, Mure (blackberry), Violet Leaves Middle Notes: Prelude Rose, Living Mimosa, Jasmin sambac Base Notes: Patchouli, Musk, Sandalwood Top Notes: Bergamot and orange Middle Notes: Turkish rose, orange blossom and jasmine. Base Notes: musk. Top Notes: Ottoman Rose, Prelude Rose, Immortelle Middle Notes: Blackberry, Violet, Jasmine Base Notes: Sandalwood, Patchouli Rose Essentielle starts out with so much promise. It opens with the twinkle of a crisp and rich rose wine. It is that deep and sanguine. The poetic lilt of the violet is like floral laughter. It kind of reminds me of Sen Sen. The fragrance becomes even fuller bodied as the berry comes in to play. The berry mercifully does not over power the rose and that prevents the scent from smelling like an autumn candle. Rather, it deepens the rose and that is great. The late middle notes have a unpleasant chlorine-like smell. But it is the dry down that is the real dud of the day. It becomes a slightly gritty and ordinary water flower fragrance with none of the piquancy the opening promised. Everything is gone. The dry down is is just harsh and weird. And completely out of step with the opening. Just the patchouli would have been a great and uncomplicated bottom note. They would have lengthened the deep and crisp quality to the end. I think it is the predictable use of farty musk and sandalwood in the base notes that turned this potentially dynamic dry down into a predictable and overused one. The bottom notes used just pull this fragrance in the wrong direction. The dry down also became very dusty and medicinal smelling and reminded me an awful lot of another much older fragrance but I could not remember the name. So I forgot about it. Then about forty-five minutes later, I smelled my wrist and, lo and behold, I'm smelling the clove / preserved orange peel of antiquated L'Origan. Sadly, This fragrance was like placing a spectacular ruby in a pewter setting. So my rating is neutral because at least the opening was magnificent.

Among the best modern mainstream floral creations out there. It is obviously worked to perfection before the creators put their final stamp of approval, and it does make the exact statement that it intends to, right away when it touches a woman's naked skin: the feminine elegance embodied in every right way possible.

Rose Essentielle is a must for everyone who loves to pursue everything that a modern floral has to offer. It has an innocence, a sex appeal, a polished identity and an unquestionable elegance.

It is just so beautiful.

I first bought Voile de Jasmine EDT because it felt so light and it matched my personality very well. But I was dissapointed by its staying power. So I decided to try on Rose Essentielle,EDP this time and I was very pleased. It lasted on my skin all day long, and even after takin a shower,it was still there.I think this one is really worth buying if you want a fresh yet sweet smell, very delicate and refined. It makes me feel a lady.

Classic, subtle, elegant. Wears very close to the skin. Very bold when first sprayed. I detected a citrus note in the middle and if there is sandalwood in the dry down, it is very subtle. It lasted much longer on my clothing than on my skin, but very beautiful.

Initially a bold plastic rose, quickly dries down to a pleasant floral, little sillage - this is a private and discreet fragrance, very elegant... just a little too inoffensive for me!
