It's not only roses and musk... it does have a great jasmine note and vanilla. Sweet and bright roses with a great animalic note. Not so heavy neither ethereal. Better for women, but it's unisex in my opinion It's like a watered down version of Mancera Roses Vanille. Reminds me of JHAG Lady Vengeance. Sillage, lasting power and projection are great.

At first glance, this is a spicy rose with a bit of classic Montale astringency. Dry down is a brooding rose. retaining a bit of astringent musk. Many of Montale fragrances are Rose noted, this is one of the better ones.

Maybe my sample was bad, but all i got was a nasty tangy musk with very little rose. Subpar sillage and longevity for Montale standards. Did not like it one bit, but i repeat that it's possible that i may have gotten a bad sample.

This starts off as a quite masculine-feeling rose, & slowly sweetens as it warms on the skin, with amber & musk coming through. lt's like roses with the leaves on, & l agree there is something smokey in the base. The sillage is soft, warm & sensual, but l don't find this as long-lasting as other Montales l've tried. lf you're looking for a straight-up rose-musk fragrance, l'd recommend Crystal Flowers over this, but it's a nice fragrance & easily wearable by a man.

I'm with jrd4t on this one. I, too, am very surprised this hasn't gotten higher reviews. It IS fantastic. It seems to be one of those great overlooked scents.

On my skin, it is a warm, ethereal, watery sueded rose scent that stays close to the skin. It is not your old-fashioned rose scent by any means, rather a rose that is freshly picked from the rosebush. Lasting power is quite good: it lasts about 8 hours on me before I would need to re-apply. Truly an all-season scent, I could see myself reaching for this in the winter and summer. My favorite Montale so far.

I love this scent! It is sweetly seductive like fresh dew kissed roses laced with musk which sticks close to the body. Not powdery at all. Very soft but it has a full warm presence. One of my favorite from the montale line. A sweet marriage of roses and musk!

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten higher reviews. I think it's really fantastic... easily one of my favorite roses. It has a warm cashmere-like musk and a variety of rose notes that create an incredibly warm and familiar feeling. One of the best in the non-aoud line of Montale and highly regarded by those around me as well! Big thumbs up.

This is a powerhose - one squeeze and you'll be walking with a halo of rose scent for something like 18 hours. At least, that's how long it kept going for me. However, it doesn't project far but rather stay close to the skin and I find it includes a touch of smokiness that don't distract from the rose scent, only make it more interesting. Other than rose main theme, I find a slight smokiness and vanilla. This is not a scent I'd use during hot days for sure because of its sweetness. Cold and rainy days or night time use would be great for this one.
Again, I feel that caution must be used with this scent as it is so concentrated - one press should create enough of a cloud to walk in to and smell great for many hours. On a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 would be male and 10 female (obviously), I'd call it a 4.

Roses Musk is a very high pitched rose/raspberry/musk perfume that I liked at first but then its intensity and endless sillage started to bother me. It is also a perfume that wears the wearer, rather than the other way around.
