There is a strange thing about this perfume:at first i found it to be strange and bitter (and i adore bitter perfums) but after a few hours it tends to be sweeter than initially. To enjoy its marvellous smell you have to wear it the previous day really!24hours after application it smells absolutely wonderfull and elegant. Don't be intimidated by the fact that initially it smells weird. after a few hours it works with body chemistry and the result is a sofisticated, classy perfume! And it lasts for days if you spray it on your clothes... The bottle is a collector's item as well!

l tried this scent for two reasons; 1. l had heard it was similar to the original Monsoon, & 2. the teardrop-shaped bottle! lt had to be for me, right? Wrong!! This was an overwhelmingly, nauseatingly fruity mess on me, so much so that l had to scrub it off almost immediately. No drydown is worth getting through that horrible opening phase for. Like others here, l cannot understand how this got it's name, or who would shell out the big bucks for such a cheap-smelling fragrance. And it's NOTHING like original Monsoon, it's completely different. Very disappointing.

Beautiful name for a scent that doesn't have a beautiful personality. It is not original nor classic. In my opinion this is a childish "pink" perfume. I can't understand what conveys the idea of rain; not the too sweet fruity notes for sure. And as it is quite plain, what conveys the idea of silver?

I don't get the name in conjunction with what Silver Rain actually smells like. It isn't evocative of anything fresh or sparkling. The fruit and the anise fight with each other, and the flowers linger, barely perceptible, in the background. I can see the anise and patchouli plausibly working (the transition from one to the other was the most seamless in this composition), but patch is a difficult note for me to begin with, and in the context of the rest of the perfume, it is dischordant. It all feels like a mishmash of notes, not in harmony with each other...at least, not on my skin.

Not what I would expect from abottle that looks like a silver rain drop. Flowers, fruit compote and cookies. The anise is potent enough to make me think of other fragrances that exploited it first, so I struggle to justify the cost. Super cool bottle.
Bottom line: nice teen scent with a big price tag. Who wears this?

This one deserves acknowledgement for creativity - including the packaging. I was excited to try Silver Rain after reading the fragrance notes. I LOVE anise, as well as several of the other notes listed. Well, I was a little let down. The opening was "camphorous", a bit harsh. The floral middle reminded me of Ford's Black Orchid. As the drydown progressed I ended up with an ozonic sort of powder that sort of made me want to cough. After saying all this, I have to tell you it actually didn't smell bad...it's just not for me.

Yummy! I was given a small tester to try about 2 months ago and completely forgot I had it until today. Wearing it now, I love it, it's very sweet on me and has a warm dry down, very modern and exudes luxury. I have an overwhelming desire to buy a big bottle of it!
