I love Tilda Swintons striking beauty, I love the idea of woman she conveys. Ive seen most of her films, from the ones directed by Derek Jarman to the slightly embarassing, except for a few moments,Io sono l amore- set in my hometown, Milan. I love her deep, sensual voice reading the poem from which the fragrance is named (you can listen to it on the ELDO site, in case you havent found it yet). I love he story behind the creation of this fragrance. Do I love the juice itself? Well, no. The notes listed and perceived are definitely in my register: heliotrope, ginger, orange blossoms, pumpkin, burnt sugar.. but on my skin the scent stays flat and sweet- sourish. Too bad. It must be because my hair is not red nor I am tall and skinny In any case, Like this is a beautiful, intimate and unconventional fragrance.

This smells to me almost exactly like Ginger by Lush/Gorilla Perfumes, but quieter. For most of its duration l get candied ginger in syrup, with the immortelle note giving it a dryness rather than a cloying sweetness. l don't know what pumpkin smells like, so l can't say that l smell it here. ln the base l get a little vetiver & some sandalwood, before it all fades out around four hours in. l think this fragrance is very comforting, perfect for autumn, & it also makes me think of Christmas. lt's made me want to buy another bottle of Ginger, too! By the way, if you want to experience gourmand heaven, try wearing this together with Ambre Narguile; the combination of the two produces a sweet, scrummy deliciousness, as well as a craving for naughty puddings!

Creamy and breezy, this opens with a flourish of old-school sophistication, all chiffon scarf and sunglasses. It has the pleasure of being like nothing else, incorporating the burnt sugar meatiness of immortelle perfectly in a beautifully foamy surround. The ginger is unobtrusive, the pumpkin mellow and a bit boozy really this fragrance is not about the notes at all but the overall effect which is light yet lingering, and poised but also playful. Slight nuances (mere hints, really) of vegetal and earthy tones embellish its sweet mousse without distracting. When the perfume has settled, it seems like a notion of what a godlike persons skin must smell like. (You know, the kind of radiant person who makes you inhale deeply as you pass them on the street just to experience their aura.) Confidence in a bottle, and subtle about it. This drove at least one acquaintance mad with joy when she smelled it on me. Disclaimer: About 8 hours in, most of the distinctiveness is gone and a somewhat mushy sweetness is left, but thats pretty good going.

Still waiting for even one ELdO scent that is worth buying. This certainly isn't it. Pumpkins? Seriously? Maybe if they began to rot. To me it smells acrid, like rotted leather (if you can imagine that smell).

I'll definitely rank Like This among the most successful fragrances in the Etat Libre D'Orange range. It opens with a consistent ginger and pumpkin accord that's quite catchy and amazingly executed, then immortelle makes its appearance together with incense (the boswelia carteri type IMO) adding depth and a touch of mistery (this is the best part of the fragrance). Vetiver is also playing a remarkable role perfectly working with incense to assure a comfortable and very nice drydown. Overall, this is an amazing scent, gentle and discreet, based on the most simple concept that a perfume, first of all, has to smell good, and in this context Like This surely fits the bill. Inspired by androgynous actress Tilda Swinton, this fragrance is often marketed as feminine, but I strongly believe it can do great also on a man. Highly recommended. Original without being odd.

the perfum of Halloween night? looking at his pyramid and at its peculiar pumpkin accord, someone would think that and not being in the wrong. in my opinion, the special contribution of this perfume is to create an oriental-gourmand around the pumpkin accord and the truth is that is well done. You´ll find a sort of velvety sweet pumpkin, a bit smoked and somehow frosted with abundant ginger. There is a sweet and caramelized note that blend perfectly with the pumpkin note and gives a quiet air to the composition. The immortelle here is well intertwined, not as sharp as in other compositions. The overall result is pretty well balanced and all the notes, in harmony, are part of a warm and enchanting blanket. a more noticeable sillage is lacking however.

Like This.... What a unique fragrance.... there are slightly Floral notes... and an earthy quality to it ... Creamy like a Mushroom or Moss... but not a dirty earthy feel .. it's far to cheerful. I guess the Rose helps with that ... The Musk gives it a wonderful leather-ish finish .. it all settles together .. quite nicely on my skin .. I noticed that the Leather-ish notes settled into a very ... yummy "MAPLE SYRUP" scent .. strange ..yes.. but Wonderfully Unique! I like the compliments I'm getting while wearing this fragrance. and it seams everybody is intrigued by the name and by the poem it is inspired by as they are with the scent. Not only do I appear to be well scented but very interesting as well...

This ELDO's fragance is brilliant and original. Mandarine, Immortelle and candied ginger. It smell of summer, but i like it in winter also. Wonderful!

Ginger and pumpkin top accords that is complimented by citrus notes. Sounds sweet, but it not overpowering as I hate over the top sweetness. Settles down to some floral and a little woody drydown that the pumpkin notes still wafer up occasionally. This definitely leans more on the feminine side of the unisex line, but it is something that I didnt mind wearing and quite enjoyed. I did find that it is quite strong stuff and projects well in addition.
