Trussardi Jeans by Trussardi, 2003

A pleasant green / fresh opening quickly followed by a fresh floral accord. Trussardi Jeans is natural and casual in style, and, yes, there is a little something in there that provides a bit of complementary abrasion, but I view that as more of an interesting creativity than as a negative. The florals certainly arent strong and heady; rather they are fresh and lively. In fact, I have a hard time believing there is actually a tuberose note in here. Jeans closes with a white musk accord that is positively generic. This is a nice little fragrance, the kind that would be useful as a quick and casual spray that is dependably easy to wear. Its pretty much one of a crowd of similar fragrances, but it is still a nice enough to earn a thumbs up.

Beautiful!! Soft, transparent, summer scent. Smells like fresh cut grass and hay. I detect a hint of pepper or asphalt, at first, after spraying (is it tuberose note?)

This smells almost identical to Guerlain's Precious heart to me (which I believe came out a year later - shame on the House of Guerlain). The Guerlain has a little more punch, and a little more lasting power. Trussardi Jeans is a fresh, green summer scent without much originality or imagination. It is pleasant, but it leaves the hairs on my arms completely unmoved - no goosebumps. I don't crave it or think about it at all when I'm not wearing it. One might get a few "you smell nice" comments while wearing it, but it doesn't stand out among the legions of sheer light florals out there.

Final verdict: a resounding meh.

The card accompanying the sample says: "FLORAL - SOFT. A fresh and crispy breath (green notes, violet, hedione) A refined floral signature (freesia, white lily, concrete tuberose) A soft and enveloping trail (white muscs, heliotrope, liatrix)" And yes, I have carefully checked the spellings.

The freesia/violet/tubersoe showed up right away on me and lasted through the quick musc-y drydown.

I really like it - a more tethered L'Air du Temps.
