Another good, inexpensive one from Crabtree & Evelyn. A crisp, refreshing lime, combined with a grassy vetiver, which comes to the fore as the lime fades. There's a bit of sparkle from the added ginger note, similar to the effect obtained in Declaration Cologne. Thanks to the vetiver component I find this has reasonable lasting power (5 hours from 8 sprays) but the sillage is weak. Oh well, I can smell it, which is the main thing. A nice one for someone keen on safe, fresh and clean scents. P.S. the matching shaving cream is good too.

The lime is equally matched on my skin with coriander, in the form of both its seed and leaf. To me the coriander seed gives the lime/citrus an earthy, woody dimension, while its leaf adds a touch of green, soapiness that many associate with cilantro.

I loved this on me. I like green fragrances and will happily wear frags regardless og their "gender". Unfortunately Mr Ali loathes my greenies telling me I smell of toilet block so I won't be stocking up anytime soon but will surreptitiously spray when out shopping

Lime, lime, and more lime. But a very spicy, at times almost savoury, lime. This quickly settles into a pleasant dry-down, with a sober citrus feel and the odd hint of vetiver. Sometimes it strikes me as being quite synthetic, but it is really rather good all the same.

Decent length and sillage.

I like it very much,
It is the Vetiver that makes the scent for me - very fresh and green

It does leave a good close to the skin statement

I would use this one for spring - summer and Sienna from C&E in winter/autumn

A Royal Classic !!!

This newer West Indian Limes scent from C&E smells nothing like their sadly discontinued and much lamented East Indian Limes offering from a few years ago. That's not to say the new West Indian release isn't nice, it's just very different. The old East Indian Limes was, if memory serves (it's been a long time), an intense citrus with a dark spicy base that had its feet stuck more in the traditional lime scents of Trumper and Truefitt & Hill. The new West Indian is obviously aimed at a younger modern crowd and as such is lighter and fresher, but that doesn't make it any worse - there's a dominant traditional powdery note which accompanies the citrus all the way through to the dry down and the base seems to be light woods, thankfully preventing that powder from getting too sweet. I personally really like it and it's still quite different in its own way. Logevity is quite good - I still get pleasing wafts of it after 5 or 6 hours - but the sillage is not as good as most C&E frags, East Indian Limes included, presumably because it's lacking the base spices that make most other C&Es (with the exception of Uncharted) project quite well. But otherwise it's a very good fresh lime scent.

Very much like anything Gendarme has/would release. Delicious lime stays for about an hour, giving way for several hours of classic, high quality lavender and sandalwood. Superb, and suitable for any time of year.

This is a lime fragrance without the sharp zest.It is a more restrained and nicely formulated variant on the the citrus theme. The opening is still a lush, green and refreshing experience, but it feels more like a proper cologne than some lime based curio. It dries down into a light woody citrus, with a delicate floral garnish, and it is very deftly done. Sadly, as is the way with many fragrances of this type, its brevity is its one big flaw. The delightful accords, so lovingly created, dwindle inside about four hours. Nevertheless, for the pleasure it gave me, I still give it a thumbs up.

I have fallen head over heals for this cologne! It reminds me of days gone by, it has maturity and freshness. I think a way I would describe this cologne is that it is for men, not boys! It is not about in your face "here I am" but more, "I am here but am not shouting about it!"

The fragrance starts of very limey but give it an hour and the complexity really starts to shine through, there are subtle layers of spice and fruit but not sweet! This fragrance has depth and improves throughout the day, it changes it's charector subtly which I love.

I would say this cologne could be worn for any occasion and is suitible for a man who knows himself and has nothing to prove to the world, a man who has maturity but spice as well!

This scent is actually quite good. It starts off with a strong lime accord but the dry down smells to me completely different - a sweet somewhat familiar and unique scent that lasts all day. I would definetly recommend this as an every day 'not sure what to wear this will do' type scent. Fresh, easy but distinctive and more interesting than your normal citrus fragrance.
