Yendi's green, citrussy top notes are bright, tart, and aldehydic, and quickly lead to a gentle, powdery-floral heart with a touch of incense and spice hovering in the background. It's a mixed, abstract bouquet, and Yendi smells floral without smelling of a particular flower. As the drydown progresses, the basenotes emerge as a softy soapy rendition of the heart.
It's about average in terms of sillage and longevity, at least on my skin.
Yendi is very redolent of a past era of perfumery, and it's not surprising that in a market of fruity florals the powdery, aldehydic nature of Yendi has ceased to appeal to the masses. None the less, lovers of this style of fragrance are sure to find something enjoyable here.
