Laquer!! Yendi is laquer in a bottle! And that's what makes it different from the others green floral of this N 19 Chanel era. For all fragrances fans, the experience is worth a try.

To me, Yendi is a better, more subtle and refined version of Estée by Estee Lauder. I see it as a typical fragrance of the 70's. I miss it...

Love at first sniff! This is the softest, warmest green fragrance that I can imagine. The florals seem fresh, buoyed by a touch of citrus & peach. The florals seem new, blended with honey & amber. The sandalwood is beautiful, more beautiful than that of the current Chanels. This perfume qualifies as a chypre, with it's bergamot beginning and it's oakmoss finish, but it is as soft as old flannel. It wears close to the skin and it is perfect for any season or any occasion. Thank you once again, Basenoters. I would never have tried this one without your comments. It is a beauty and it is very special.

I was immediately reminded of Ivoire, and it turns out the two perfumes have more notes in common than they do differently -- hyacinth, bergamot, raspberry, orris, orchid, cedar, sandalwood, and even a few more I think. They are both sprightly greens with vibrant fruit and wood tones. To me, Yendi is the improved version, with a silky smooth progression where Ivoire was sometimes soapy and a bit clunky.

Just wonderful. Wish it was easier to come by. I'm intrigued to hear about Rochas Globe, as that one seems to be still around and quite affordable.

Green, sexy, powdery..little bit spicy. I wish they would bring it back. I think if they put it on the market today it would be the new thing. I feel like a hoarder with my last bottle, all sneaky and smug.

Yendi's green, citrussy top notes are bright, tart, and aldehydic, and quickly lead to a gentle, powdery-floral heart with a touch of incense and spice hovering in the background. It's a mixed, abstract bouquet, and Yendi smells floral without smelling of a particular flower. As the drydown progresses, the basenotes emerge as a softy soapy rendition of the heart.

It's about average in terms of sillage and longevity, at least on my skin.

Yendi is very redolent of a past era of perfumery, and it's not surprising that in a market of fruity florals the powdery, aldehydic nature of Yendi has ceased to appeal to the masses. None the less, lovers of this style of fragrance are sure to find something enjoyable here.

Wow. This light green colored vintage EdT is surprisingly fizzy at the start. Green florals that dry down into a crisp, clean soapy powder that is a delight to smell.

Review of vintage eau de toilette:
Yendi is a wonderfully blended ultra-green floral, sparkling with gentle effervescience, a touch of metallic edge, and a soft powdery finish. In addition to the predominance of 'green' I detect hyacinth and possibly a hint of lily but don't know the formal notes. I'd categorize this as a carefree and refreshing scent.

A dazzling gem from the seventies. This scent manages to combine wonderfully fresh green note, with rich sweet florals, then gives it just a slight bit of powder to soften the whole affair. It is pure olfactory candy; it is sweet without being cloying, green without any sharpness, and powdery without any of the aldehydic roar. I find myself contemplating this scent whenever I wear it, it is 'that' complex, and that delightful. It truly is a shame it is no longer in production, but as we all know; ingredients for these classic masterpieces are not used any longer due to regulations (cost cutting). Therefore it is better that this grand old dame is remembered fondly and will not suffer the fate of many of her contemporaries; "a 'bad' face-lift"/ re-orchestration.
This is definitely one to not overlook if you stumble upon it, it will not let you down.
