Zadig by Emilio Pucci, 1973

I'm wearing vintage Zadig as I type this and I can say that DollyDagger64 and Brielle87, everybody so far really, hit the nail on the head - this is a warm, indolic jasmine scent with a dark rose and vetiver underneath. Seductive in a sneaky way. Oews a lot to Patou's Joy.

Yum. Warm, rich and gorgeous. Opening blast very reminiscent of AG Grand Amour, but drydown goes down another path toward Shalimar. An hour in, I get mainly honeyed jasmine with a non-gourmand vanilla-dominated underlay, animalic as others have said, which reminds me of PG Felanilla.

The Perfumed Court says:
Top Notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot, orange, peach, coriander
Heart Notes: Clove, rose , honey, Jasmine, orris, ylang ylang
Base notes: Vetiver, benzoin, Patchouli, cinnamon, vanilla, tolu, Tibetan musk, & amber.

At first I thought simple/basic/uneventful. On second try, I'm warming up to it. It's a dark jasmine that projects softly. I get nothing sweet. However, its character is sweet. But still a bit slinky. A cat-eyed jasmine.

Warm and sensual. Animalic without being obnoxious. Very sexy.

Warm sweet floral with a rich animal undertone, what more could anyone need. A very wearable scent.
