How come you don't want to post a photo of your collection in the collection photo thread?
Sounds like it could be something that would get jaws dropping...

Have you considered terminating her employment?
It certainly does.
Worth decanting them all into a small atomizer.
Is it true this is going to be re-released? I remember reading something about that a while ago but my google-fu is failing.
If so, I wonder how faithfull to the original it will be.
Maybe he thinks the same thing...
He probably wouldn't wear his own fragrance...it sounds horrible. A desperate, tragic cash-in.
It's an incredibly good fragrance, I get decent longevity out of it, one of my most complimented fragrances and it is very inexpensive.
That's a shame, at least as far as Bleu is concerned. It's a very fine scent indeed.
I'm skeptical as to whether it gives you an actual migraine though... well in fact I downright disbelieve you.
I'm sure you'll forgive yourself once it arrives!
Another one to add to my list of frags to try. Always seems to get positive responses when discussed on here.
Having read so much praise for Sycomore I too was keen to try it. I have ordered a small decant from the perfumed court.
It seems Les Exclusifs are only sold in a few select stores in each...
Due to the lack of humidity at that altitude I'd be going with something with a bit of punch and heaviness about it, lest it all evaporate away in no time at all.
I haven't smelt it, hence why I am asking.
So would you say Sycomore is particularly feminine? What notes are responsible for Chanel marketing as a feminine fragrance?
Saw this story and thought it was interesting!
Lucky fella - I wonder which, if any,...
Well I bought this, off the strength of praise for it on this thread.
To my uninitiated nose it does compare similarly to Guerlain's offering. Certainly more than any of the other vetivers that I...
The notion of when this can be worn has been discussed at length, but perhaps this debate should be expanded to include where it can be worn.
New York by Nicolai - http://www.pnicolai.com/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=7612328&XMLOpt1=-1&XMLOpt2=-1&RelatedPdtIDs=
Love it, pretty similar to BdP but without the incredible dry down of the Creed.
Givenchy Vetyver is certainly getting some high praise. Very very tempted to blind buy this as some of my favourite fragrances are vetivers.
Is it sufficiently different to Guerlain's, Tom...
Not even Douglas Reynholm would be crass enough to wear 10 sprays of Rocabar.
If I had a penny for every time I've heard this regarding Aventus I would have... well... enough to buy a bottle of Aventus.
Aventus seems to fall victim to anosmia more than any other frag out...
I bet when he started this thread the OP didn't expect to get an answer from the perfumer himself!
Well looks like 10 people wanted to!
Astonishing, for just over £10 more they could have got 50mls brand new from Liberty. Utter madness.
I'm surprised you find Vetiver Extraordinaire's longevity to be short. It lasts all day for me, I'll only ever do 2 sprays max as well, it is really quite potent. I bet other people can still smell...
I can understand your frustration, although it may be too much to ask for such rinky dink organizations to invest in real time stock control.
Aventus is INFAMOUS for batch differences! There is a monster thread about it.
I'd love to take the final spot for Oud Wood.
Site looks dodgy as hell. Although usually the scam sites have a fake checkout page which allows people to enter their card details which are then harvested and used by the scammers to go on a...
^^ I don't think Muscs Koublaï Khän is the best suggestion to be honest.
So which ex-basenoter are you then? The same one that has been DDOSing/hacking the site?
Next time you intend to wear it, spray it nearer to your skin and then monitor it throughout the day to see if you perceive any extended longevity.
I must ask you whether the discounts you are getting from fragrencenet make up for the hassle you seem to go through upon receiving the items??
I think I have read a thread for each different...
I enjoyed the little details of the story. Such as how you felt the need to tell us that you were taking a shit, reading a magazine and then flushed afterwards.
It's these sorts of things that...
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
A year ago I went through a nightmare trying to procure this from various poorly updated foreign sites without any success.
Order duly placed.
"a bit" being true indeed. I fully appreciate that all fragrances are more per ml in their smaller bottles than their larger ones but Creed really push the limits on this front in my humble opinion....
and Spice and Wood.
Looks fine to me, whatcha talkin 'bout Willis?
Demeter - Grass. I got a sample of this after reading about it in a similar thread a while back. It is a bit synthetic and somewhat fleeting unless a lot is used, but it's true to its aim.
Oh don't be so ridiculously over-dramatic. :rolleyesold: If sides are being taken I am on hers, as a customer of TPC who has spent far more money on fragrance samples than is healthy. I am not...
Like others have said, a number of creeds have this incredible aroma that develops after a number of hours, particularly Bois Du Portugal, Green Irish Tweed and Royal Oud that is probably my...
Now if I was the sole TPC proprietor I would have sent out an e-mail saying business as usual and maybe even advertising some special discounts (ideally that last longer than 8 hours, unlike most of...
The Creed fridge never fails to make me smile!
This is the "Which Fragrance..." thread to end them all. When every single other possible permutation of questions have been asked, then this one is the only one left.
I wonder if it was that person who has been cast out by the other two who are starting this new venture.
I do like TPC, must have slung close to $400 their way over the last year and a bit. The...
I'm guessing that someone who is intending to buy 11 bottles in a week is able to buy 1 bottle of MR!!
If I didn't have a nearly full bottle of this I'd be calling you a **** right now.
Cost me £175 back in June last year, was under the impression the prices had remained static.
Just looked at my bottle and the level is still at the curved portion of the neck. This juice is...
From the responses you've received I get the impression they take customer service seriously.
It wouldn't surprise me if they sent you a new bottle even if their opinion was that there wasn't...
How odd. For a company which prides itself on clinical pretensions you'd hope they'd be able to maintain some consistency across batches.
Tobacco Vanille, or Eau de Play-Doh as I like to refer to it.
That's definitely grounds for emancipation.
Always. If you ever buy a Creed and it spritzes on the first pump you know someone has used it.
What a loser. The OP is conspicuous by his absence!!
DULLAH - A challenger appears!
Absolutely stunning fragrance, one of the best green chypres I've ever experienced - and fantastic value as well.
It's my absolute least favourite vetiver. There is just something about it that leaves me cold. They have done well in capturing a sort of dirty ink note but it is not very appealing at all. ...
TdH as the gift recommendation then buy Bois du Portugal for yourself because it's also an incredible fragrance.
So I'm guessing you haven't told anyone how much your Vintage Tabarome cost then?
BdP has a more interesting development through to that classic Creed ISO E Super / Ambergris dry down (or whatever it is that lots of Creeds smell like 4-8 hours after application)
PdN is far more...
When I saw soapy I instantly thought of Original Vetiver.
I shall wear it tomorrow. Magnificent scent.
Presumably you are solely referring to the top notes or are you saying that Ouarzazate also develops into that wonderful ambergris drydown?
Egoiste every day of the week.
New York - Parfums de Nicolaï
Blind buy. I hope it isn't too similar to Bois Du Portugal so as to be redundant.
I'm going to wear it tomorrow!
Kouros was actually invented through a similar accident.
I definitely do. After 5 hours or so it ends up with the very familiar ambergris generic Creed drydown, which I absolutely love!
Royal Oud's drydown is slightly smoother, less of a spicyness to...
Blimey - do we think people go to the trouble of faking Chrome when it sells from legit retailers for £10? I'm surprised buying it off eBay when you include the postage works out less than that in...
A myriad assorted samples. Invariably get knocked over when reaching for a main bottle, sometimes with quite a domino effect ensuing. No breakages yet touch wood....
Le Labo - Rose 31. Principally cedar.
Utterly despicable behaviour by Bond no 9 there. It's all the funnier considering their plagiarism of so many fragrances in their very short history.
Well the fact it's being sold for $30 somewhat gives it away. Although I guess you mean with it being resold on eBay for the full RRP?
Given the widely reported batch differences maybe this one...
Does anyone else get a very PlayDough-esque accord off this? For the opening hour or so. Not a fan myself.
The familiar warm ambegris dydrown of bois du portugal (reminiscent of so many Creeds) is distinctly unisex in my opinion.
Rather tiresome really, isn't it.
Should have bought the samples direct from Creed's site, then you get that money off when you make a purchase from them.
It's one of my absolute favourite fougeres. Also the best value fragrance I've ever used, 100ml for £20!!!
Well said. Also unless the OPs fridge is stocked only with Creeds from the authorised channels then he's likely to have some that are a number of years old anyway and they sure as hell won't have...
What a pathetic disingenuous post, and frankly unless you live a Spartan lifestyle and spend the rest of your money "to help those who are less fortunate" (which you clearly don't since you have an...
Do you wear nothing but Aventus? Even with Dullah-esque levels of clothes sprayng it's quite an achievement to get through a flacon and a bottle since the launch.
Really enjoyed all three episodes. It was the first series I had watched from start to finish on BBC4. A fantastic insight into a number of different sectors of the fragrance industry, managing to...
He wants to work out how much a bottle has left in it as a %?
A very interesting behind the scenes documentary there, and next week's sounds superb as well - delving into the actual creating.
I liked Jean-Paul's 6 pronged test strip holder.
Just spotted this on radio times. Tonight - BBC4 9:00pm - 10:00pm
A three part BBC series on Perfume. Hopefully people outside of the UK can download it from BBC iPlayer afterwards if...
You just know this guy wears Aramis.
Can you tell me where you ordered that from? I've been trying to get some as well but the few places I've tried only sell bulk.
On a related note, if anyone wants to buy 200kg of ISO E Super I...
Why don't you console yourself with 50mls of Original Cologne?
Personally I find that an utterly absurd reason to not use a particular fragrance.
I don't like his chances of anyone actually buying that though.
Has to be this http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/fi/firebox-sex-panther-growl-.jpg
Just remember to wear your wellies because you'll be knee deep in clunge.
There is such a broad range of vetiver scents, from rooty, musky Vetivers like Frederic Malle's Vetiver Extraordinaire to sweeter ones such as Grey Vetiver to the classic fresh and crisp offering...
The whole essence of a signature fragrance is that it is completely personal to the individual. It's impossible for anyone to recommend any to you - especially since you've not given any hints as to...
Hi Scentational - have you done this yet? Tempted to give it a go.
Thanks for that very interesting indeed! I certainly consider this frag full bottle worthy, and there would appear to be some significant savings to be had by using the DIY method. Very tempting I...
I hate splash, you get it all over your fingers, it's far less efficient in its application so you end up going through it at a greater rate than an atomiser. Just not keen at all.
You've not mentioned how it smells...
Also it's not uncommon for EU/US grey market distributors to sell bottles from the Middle East.
I'd say as long as the box doesn't say Green Frish Tweed...
I'm wearing this today and loving it! I know it's a sort of antithesis to the perfumery process but hey, if it smells great I don't care! Reminds me of a lot of Creeds drydowns too - funny how they...
Rose 31 is decent - worth a try. Although I bought mine online so didn't have the pleasure, or not, of customer (dis)service.
