Guerlain also offer their Bee Bottles in gold leaf with engraved initials for significant additional fee. For CREED, I prefer the standard Royal Exclusives bottles and would rather spend the money...

Spice and Wood by CREED
D.R. Harris Pink
Iris Silver Mist
It's one of my favorite JCE creations. Top notch materials and very elegant, masculine sillage. I wear two sprays of it and the sillage is just right. Incidentally, according to JCE himself, there...
Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for posting.
It has become one of my favorite CREEDs right alongside GIT, Selection Verte and Vetiver 48.
I feel very fortunate to live in a country where I have easy access to my favorite stuff, including CREED.
Selection Verte by CREED
I got a full bottle of it a couple of months ago. It's another full bodied Calice Becker and requires one to be in the right mood for sweetness. I do like the mentholated/green aspect of it quite a...
Vetiver by CREED
@auyang, those are some nice looking bottles you got there :)
Anyone know if the standalone Kilian travel atomizers come with an empty glass vial and spray, or are they just empty requiring the purchase of the small refill kilian bottles to function?
I think it's more masculine than Cedre. And like Cedre, it's a sillage monster. One spray of this is plenty.
Voyage d'Hermes, EDT
Royal Oud by CREED
Original Vetiver by CREED.
I most definitely get a tobacco vibe, more like sweet pipe tobacco.
I think this is a wonderfully crafted scent and one of Creed's best. I detect the oud very strongly in the beginning, but not so much as it dries down.
If I were you, I wouldn't even mention it to your dentist....why open up a can or worms? :)
No civet here either. After the initial 30 seconds of utter shock, there's a beautiful and full bodied orange blossom that lasts for at least and hour, and then morphs into a clean soapiness. This...
Red, thanks for providing the link. My bottle was shipped from The Perfume Spot today. I will post the lot number when I receive my order next week.
Silver Mountain Water by CREED
Erolfa has a fantastic drydown and it's one of my favorites in the CREED line up. It's actually quite a complex scent.
Three sprays, distributed evenly, to the forearms using the Creed leather atomizer. I can smell it on my skin and shirt cuffs for at least 24 hours.
Wow, for forty BIG ONES you deserve the real thing! Write Olivier Creed in Paris. He'll fix it.
I own and have read the guide. I own and love many Creeds. The Guide is just that, a guide. Neither Luca nor Tania have the right to spend my money, nor was it their intention to do so when they...
Too bad. I was looking forward to these specially. I guess they don't need the business.
Aventus by CREED
Green Irish Tweed, by CREED
I have full bottles of Mechant Loup and Fou d'Absinthe and enjoy them both. But I'm really looking forward to trying Mon Numero 3, 4 and 6 when they become available in the US. The UK and Euro...

Either Crystal Body Deodorant or Weleda sage deodorant.

Try writing a letter (not email) to Olivier Creed in Paris. You might mention your previous purchases and the current treatment you received from their American flagship store.
I bet you would...
Thank you. I recently bought the 200 ml bottle of the new Concentre de Pamplemousse Rose from the Hermes boutique and it's fantastic. I get 6-8 hour longevity from it. JCE is really putting out...
Interesting. Did you order from Hermes? How does one make sure to get the current version?
I've got the large bottle of this and love it. I don't get roasted coffee bean, but I do get brewed coffee/espresso with the sharp, dry and a bit bitter nuances such as when you smell an empty cup...
Is Granville similar to Blenheim Bouquet?
The bar is set very high by Kilian, Malle, Lutens, Hermes, Dior, not only by the usage of top quality raw materials, but also by using talented and technically superior perfumers. Creeds are fun and...
yeah, it also comes in the silk bag for around $500 for the 100 ml. Still very steep but better value than the 50 ml.
I see the range now includes 100 ml bottles which offer a better value, but they are only available at their online shop. Has anyone in the US ordered directly from them? What are your experiences...
Anyone know who the perfumers are behind the fragrances?
Frederic Malle in a heartbeat.
At 4 USD per ml., the door is open to many, many more outstanding scents out there. It's a pass for me, as well.
You can try to see what they say. Maybe they will accept a return or have an extra sprayer they can send out.
Sorry to hear about that. On your next Lutens bottle, the best way is to screw the entire assembly onto the bottle until fully tight, and then pull off the cap. If you really like the frag, you may...
Cuir Mauresque, Serge Lutes. I think I'm in love with this scent!
Versatile, easy to wear, pleasant. What's not to like?
Fascinating discussions. My take away was that Erwin has a lighter more transparent style than his father. I suspect, going forward we will see more fragrances similar to Spice and Wood, et al as...
Looks a bit over dressed.
I've got the same batch flacon. I'm glad you like it. Mine is slowly growing on me. Three sprays to the chest with the Creed leather atomizer lasted all day on me with tons of sillage. The next...
For a young chap I would recommend EROLFA, applied lightly.
I choose to believe this fragrance has been around since 1948. I have not seen any concrete "facts" to the contrary. Meanwhile I will cherish my flacon of this wonderful fragrance, which is IMO one...
Thank you for the helpful replies.
Anyone know if the new Dior Vetiver, and all the new Dior exclusives for that matter, are EDP strength? I have an idea they are EDT like the Chanels, but just wanted to confirm.
I enjoy their Wild Fern and Spanish Leather very much. One of the true remaining English gentleman's barbershop line.
I agree it's a fantastic scent. Kind of a throwback barbershop vibe to it with a very mossy chypre type drydown. I feel lucky I got a flacon of it last year when CREED started their official online...
The best CREED is.....whichever one is to be discontinued next :)
To me it smelled some nice clean men's soap. You're not missing much.
Yup! I for one decided to spend my $600 with Frederic Malle instead of CREED given the Windsor debacle and my own bait and switch experience with Aventus.
It lasts 8-10 hours easily on me. Projects strongly for about 3-4 and then settles into a nice smooth close to the skin scent after that.
Both Luca and Tania are Basenoters and deserve a bit more respect, regardless of what we think of their book.
I tend to just wash with hot water and don't apply any soaps or gels to the area. Many soaps have synthetic musks or other aromachemicals that may in fact give you the opposite effect.
Making money is a good thing :) If people stop buying his products, he will make less of it.
Straight to Heaven.
I bought a flacon of Aventus recently based on testing of an early sample and the scent is completely different. Having never even smelled any Amouage, my vote goes to Amouage on this one.
Sorry to bump up this thread, but since receiving my Malle order, I'm very curious about these numbers. Any current or official info?
Green Irish Tweed (08 vintage ;))
LOL, I love the reference to the lawyers seeking solutions in the original quote...hmmmmm....let's see...here's the plan...we will voluntarily join some organization and submit ourselves to their...
hmmm...learn something new every day.
Oxford and Cambridge, what what....
Thanks for your post leor. But actually, I'm not even that upset about it. I'm happy I discovered Malle (VE and Bd'O) and plan on acquiring a few more of the line, as well as a few back ups :) ...
If you're unhappy with it, return it to the seller. Ironically, it seems easier to return Creeds to discounters than to authorized sources. I found out today that Bergdorf Goodman, the seller of my...
My new favorite - Bois d'Orage - Frederic Malle.
OP here, thanks to all who replied.
The three they recommended to me were Bigarade Concentree, French Lover/Bois d'Orage, and Vetiver Extraordinaire. I had sampled Vetiver last year at Barney's...
I've got a flacon with the exact Lot number. I see Dullah's point about this batch. It's very deeply smokey and thick, much darker than my previous earlier sample. The sample had better balance of...
Hi hi volley! I'd go with Armenie...you won't regret it. Can always get Tonka later.
Just tested this, while nice, don't see what all the fuss is about. At half price maybe FBW but not at retail.
My newly received bottle of Vetiver has it, but the Bois D'Orage doesn't. Also, I've notice D'Orage's perfume volume is now 9% instead of 7%. It's nice to see Mr. Malle and Bourdon still presumably...
We don't need no stinkin' batches!
It's my favorite part of GIT followed by the dreamy, creamy sandalwood. I also smell this note in Erolfa and Vetiver '48. It also shows up in Vetiver Tonka towards the end.
Disappointing that Guerlain would put out such inconsistent products at such prices and expect the consumer to resort to checking serial numbers to find a "good" batch....sigh....
Very nice read. Thanks :)
