    Re: Acqua di Selva

Just got some of this and I'm enjoying it. The top notes are really bracing and refreshing. I'm not quite as fond of it after it dries down, but it's still pretty nice. Very much a poor-man's...

    Re: Pino Silvestre Information !

That press kit is fantastic! Love all of the psychological and philosophical sentiments. They've really meditated a lot on Pino-Silvestre. I'm enjoying my first wearing right now.
  3. Re: Versace Black Jeans = Palmolive dish liquid?

I love the smell of Palmolive for some reason. Might have to try Black Jeans. I've heard it's also kinda similar to Rive Gauche, which is one of my favorites.

    Re: Vetiver & Rum

This is really nice stuff. All natural, long lasting, brisk yet complicated. One of my favorites for the summer.

    Re: Clean, Classic Barbershop Scent?

I would recommend Tabac, Eau Sauvage, Guerlain Vetiver (has a similar powdery character to clubman), Paco Rabanne. Of those already mentioned, Rive Gauche PH and Azzaro PH are in my top 5 of all the...
  6. Re: Which fragrances are the 'black sheeps' of your collection?

Polo Sport. Someone gave it to me as a gift about 10 years ago and it is still hanging around for a spray maybe once a year when I have a desire to smell seaweed. It stands out like a sore thumb next...

Re: What fragance would Dr House wear?

Opium. He seems to like opiates.

    Re: Easter Fragrance

I think I'll go with Grey Flannel, lightly applied following a shave with Trumper's Violet soap. Smells like spring!
  10. Re: Is Green Irish Tweed Grey Flannel with an Apple On Top? Very Similar?

I definitely think there are some similarities. People make too much of the opening of GIT, which is almost identical to that of Cool Water, but the heart notes in GIT and Grey Flannel are very...

    Re: sharp, lemony-herby-green fragrances

None are "new" but I think fit your description.

Aramis Tuscany - Sharp lemon opening, green to follow, with a bit of spice.

Grey Flannel- Bitter citrus opening and then settles down to the...

Poll: Re: Favorite Yves Saint Laurent fragrance?

I haven't tried enough of them to truly weigh in on which is the BEST, but I love Rive Gauche and Live Jazz. Both will always be in my wardrobe. I'm looking forward to trying M7 but am holding off...

Re: Similiar to Old Spice cologne?

YSL Jazz smells kind of like a lighter, updated version to me. They share a lot of the same notes if you look at the pyramid too.
  15. Re: What's your favourite fragrance for spring and summer?

Live Jazz is amazing in hot weather! Also, Aqua di Parma Colonia is great on a warm sunny day. I like Guerlain Vetiver and Paco Rabanne PH for the spring when its not really muggy out.

Re: Help me to build my summer collection

I second YSL Jazz. I also like Guerlain Vetiver (unless it is really hot), Monsieur Balmain, Helen Vetiver and Rum (hard to find, but very smooth and refreshing), Acqua di Parma Colonia and when I'm...

Re: The scent of Dove soap

I think Helen Vetiver & Rum smells like dove soap. I know it doesn't sound like it would, but it does.

    Re: The smell of Spring!

I like Bvlgari PH and Tuscany by Aramis for the Spring. Bvlgari is kind of floral and refreshing with the darjeeling tea note. Tuscany is the greenest fragrance I've ever worn and is great for brisk...
  22. Re: Best tea note scents (also Gucci PH-II vs. Bvlgari Black)

I agree! Herbissimo Te Verde is a very nice tea scent. Very relaxing and fresh. The other Herbissimo fragrances are nice too, especially Herbissimo Mejorana- a very fresh woods scent.

    I like...
