Hi Guys. Does anybody know if there is a difference in bottle design between current and original versions of this? I know the boxes changed, but I am trying to identify some earlier versions on ebay...
It does have the same longevity and sillage and I'd put money on it that if I sent you a sample of both you would not tell the difference. I sent samples to a guy that works for Tom Ford (sample of...
Dia Man :-)
The top YT reviewers are getting in excess of 100,000 views on one video and have millions of views overall, seemingly a lot of people like them.
I say Kudos to anybody who is willing to put themselves out there, it's not actually that easy. It's much easier to sit anonymously behind your keyboard and whinge. If you have a passion for...
Yeah clear glass, with a dark brown front. If it's a sticker, the sticker must be on the inside though, coz it's not on the outside.
Thanks so much guys :-)
I Presume that is more tamed down than the original juice?
Many thanks indeed!
Yeah for sure! :-)
Thanks mate. The white line one is definitely legit, but as you say the code is not recognized :-(
Many thanks Detox. Do you mind me asking which site you use? Thanks
Hi Guys, I need some help with identifying the ages of 2 bottles of Le Male. I cannot find a batch code checker that recognizes JPG Codes.
The Bottle on the left has very faint horizontal lines,...
I agree, both are very knowledgable and speak well.
Great thread!! I am the proud owner of a bottle of COLOGNE RELOADED and also have a sample of MAAI. Both are stunning creations in my opinion. I am testing MAAI as we speak and trying to break it...
I find the current formulation of DH far better than the Original, however the original performs better. Where DHI is concerned, I really much prefer my 2008 bottle to my 2012 bottle, but I have been...
Morning all - My 7 year old decided to break my cap for my Enigma Parfum Pour Homme. Does anybody know where I could get another?
Thanks in advance
GPHII and John Varvatos
First time I've seen it discounted in UK - Not a fan myself.
I'd be more interested in how it smells rather than how long it lasts buddy.
Good analogy dude. I'm definitely not giving up any of them yet.
I think they both fall into the nice but unspectacular category. Both a 7/10
I know mate, I would've had to remortgage my house ;-)

Actually mate I had 3ml of TL and its one of the few samples I have sold, because I hated it lol.
It's a good point mate. Nearly all have only been worn on my arm as most are in 1ml or 2ml vials. I'm definitely going to give them all more time

Bore off mate

So from the following list the only ones I have bought or will buy full bottles of are: Aventus, GIT, Original Vetiver, VIW, LDDM, and Amber Absolute. Pretty poor hit rate of success.
Cool - thanks mate
The one I am looking at buying is the same light brown that is in the image in post #29. My 2 bottles are so Brown that they are almost Black. as per this pic......20656
On the Oud side, By Killian Incense Oud is worth sampling.
+ 1 on "slow down" Enjoy what you've got for a few months.
Great collection dude.
Rive Gauche oozes 'Dad' it's awesome juice.
Chergui is just boring IMHO
+ 1 for Bergamotto Marino by GianFranco Ferre. A great, cheap alternative!
Even legit black wrapping peels and it probably will smell different to the one in Fenwick's because there is a big variation in smells between batches.

You are, coz you...
Out of my 40 or so Frags, Pure Havane is my wife's favourite
Probably been asked before, but why are some bottles/boxes Brown and some Black? I have 2 x Black and was going to purchase another back up, but the image is Brown
Very similar and how anybody can say they don't see any similarity is beyond me!
For me limiting myself is part if the fun. Having to wait for things I want makes it far more aspirational for me. Looking forward to buying is almost as much fun as the actual purchase
I have a similar issue to the OP. I've learnt live with it and now spray hair, clothes and carry an atomiser.
I have Rive Gauche, Gucci Pour Homme II, Fahrenheit and Burberry London back ups. I got Rive Gauche because the Tin Can version is going EOL, the Gucci because they will almost certainly discon it,...
I love the fact that you actually calculated that lol
Hi Guys, a topic that has been discussed in various forms, but just thought it was an interesting discussion.
I'm sure most of us, once said "I'll never have more than 20." then 30, 40 50 and so...
L'Homme you are a stalker lol
Rodney and Luis need to stop starting threads
Ignoring it and not fanning the flames would be a far better strategy buddy.
24 Gold gives me a headache and makes me fatigued. I still wear it tho.
The thread is entitled 'received Creed Aventus without LOT no' I think that would be pretty easy to avoid for those who don't want to read anymore about Aventus. Just don't open the thread is surely...
I bought 2 bottles from lucky scent which cost me over £100 each after shipping and duties. I'm selling 1 bottle as below:
Van Cleef And Arpels Midnight in Paris 125ml EDP. Brand new, cellophane...
Gucci Pour Homme II
Well since I started this thread I have discovered a whole host of reviewers that I had not seen before. When I have some time, I will post links to their channels, but just a shout out to Raj, Rene,...
Yeh Fahrenheit and DHI are awesome. Coachrob got me into Bergamotto Marino, it's the best cheapie ever IMO.
Great video Max. Love Creeds, but wholeheartedly agree with everything you say.
That would take them a whole day ;-)
When started in Sep, I had about 2 bottles. Since then I have bought another 50 and sold 15, leaving me with a collection of 37 that I am really happy with, all at least 8/10 for me. I have 30...
Kron 50ml Split
1) Scent alone 8/10
2) Projection 8/10
3) Longevity 8/10
4) Versatility 6/10
5) Compliments 7/10
6) Overall rating 8/10
It's quite funny looking through this thread, going back to 2008 and seeing how people's collections have increased or decreased. Lots of people that were going to slow down, never did. I fall into...
Interesting about D & G the one. This has gotten particularly bad reviews for lasting power
Armani Eau de Nuit
Good to see lots of you also getting good performance from GPH II, this gets quite a raw deal from a performance point of view on YouTube in particular.
Bosque by Humiecki and Graef
Good to hear. I am really impressed with it.
Top of my wish list is one that isn't getting much love, 'Armani Eau de Nuit' it's the best thing I have smelt for a long time and will be my next purchase. Any more fans of this?
Rive Gauche has to be one of the safest blind buys possible imo
I recently bought MI and gave it it's first full wearing yesterday and it lasted pretty well for me too. Strange smelling frag, but very good!
My skin must be strange, because there are very few fragrances that I get really good performance from, yet some notoriously bad performers seems to work well for me.
Gucci Pour Homme II, John...
Well guys, I have decided not to buy. I agree with what a lot of you say that is nice buy not special and I am looking for 'Special' especially at this pricepoint. Thanks for advice
Great to see you on here. I think this can definitely be unisex.
This one goes under the radar a bit and has mixed reviews. I have been testing this recently and I really like it. Not sure if it's good enough to justify a full bottle, I'm 50/50 at the moment.
How can you not find these two similar???
Sums it up perfectly
Lol, here is the wish list mate
L'Air Du Desert Marocain
Eau De Nuit
Lumiere Noire Pour Homme
I own and love them both, but OV is worth the extra £49 that I paid for it compared to MC.
Amazing how many people didn't bother to read a word of the OP before posting
Girls love 1 Million and Aqua Di Gio ;-)
Sounds very similar to me mate. No other vices, like smoking, drinking, gambling, so don't feel bad about my frag hobby.
Most of their stock is 2011/2012, but I know their Royal Water (when I asked in Dec) was a 2007 batch. If you email email@example.com and tell them which bottle and size you want, they will email...
Yes mate, it was after your posts that I thought I would share. When you said you had 41 frags and I saw your join date was Dec 2012, I thought you were probably buying at the same rate as me :-)
Well mate, I've only just decided to do this, so I haven't actually exercised any control yet :-)
You won't find a better price in the UK mate.
Both are excellent, but GIT is in a different league to MI, IMO
I know lots of you guys to similar things and I think it's a really good idea to a.) get some control and b.) make purchasing more exciting and aspirational (i.e, if you have to work/wait for things...
In what time period have you made 41 purchases mate?
I dumped Original Vetiver and bought Mugler Cologne. Then I realised the subtle differences and that I wanted to own both, so I repurchased OV.
Of all the ones you tested, I would've bought the same one that you did ;-)
Best of the 3 imo
All sold out already!

I bet you laughed just like Beavis and Butthead after writing that, bet you were dead proud of your wit ;-)
I have to concede the point on the 'Great' terminology, fragrances clearly are more subjective than sport
.... and no probs ref the comment ;-)
I'm not whining, so wind your neck in!
I'm talking about Footballers and Heavyweight boxers in relation to the definition of the word 'Great' meaning that 'Great' things do not tend come in large...
Carolina Herrera 212 Men
L'instant De Guerlain Extreme
Just as well we don't have to 'wear' the bottles isn't it!
People saying too many...... Really????
I said 'Truly Great'
How many truly great footballers have there ever been? How many truly great heavyweight World champions have there ever been?
Spoken as a true veteran of 4 days on the site!
