TF Oud Wood fits the bill for me as does Eternity, spice and wood, bleu, and Aventus.
Look forward to smelling this
I wasn't wowed by this either and can't perceive the quality.
TF Oud Wood. Just loving it!
I will wear TF Oud Wood after my next shower. Right now I'm testing MFK Aqua Universalis on one arm and Ramon Monegal Agar Musk on Another. I tested ADP Colonia Intensa again last night. Good stuff,...
Hinoki, Balafre, Escencia, countless others.
I've went back and forth on this like ChuckW. I started out buying a bottle, selling it, buying again, etc. I went through this cycle probably 4 times. Now I get it. I can say I love it and it has a...
EROLFA has always been among my least favorites Creeds. Glad you got to know it intimately.
TF Oud Wood
I think Dior Homme, Aventus, and some others mentioned already are iconic fragrances. Personally feel that Tom Ford Oud Wood should fit into this category. This is some sexy, mesmerizing juice and...
Restoration Hardware's Italian Leather.
Sounds good. Don't really feel like getting to know it since it could disappear. I'm not a negative nancy, so if I get the chance, I'll check it out.
Regarding the original, am I wrong to think that after the lovely lemon dissipates, you're left with a rose and light woods? I want to recall rose and it drying down into something old woman, but...
Love crabtree and evlelyn's went indian limes shampoo and body wash. I also like J Crews 3-n-1 shower gel. Hermes UJEM shower gel was real nice. No idea if they changed it. The fragrance smells...
Based on smell, the original gets my vote. However, I have been underwhelmed by the line and though I owned the Intense at one time, I quickly got rid of it as it just doesn't do anything for me.
I don't find Eau Savage Pardum preferable, as I like the original better. Having said that and based on your specific query, I would prefer the CDG I suppose.
This is the first I've heard about this. Can't believe they still aren't out.
Intensa would be my fav, but to be fair, its been a long while since I've sampled Assoluta. The new leather is also very nice and potent I might add.
Sounds promising; will definitely sniff it; but doubt it will trump my wood favs in my wardrobe. A buy is unlikely, but premature to judge.
Twilight Woods is quite good!
I sniffed the intense but prefer the original. A very good scent indeed and glad I have it.
Smelled this on my recent trip. Really like this one, dare I say better than the other flankers. I should have made the time to get a sample.
I would have to say neither as well.
Oud wood is my fav without a doubt.
Interesting! It must be the ginger I don't like in OV, but still a great fragrance. Nice job!
They'll be fine. If not, they wouldn't be able to ship fragrances to us in the summer.
I also forgot to mention that I went in a duty free shop. Carolina Herrera Chic for men was decent. Smell all the boss bottled flankers; wasn't impressed. Always liked Paco Rabanne, but for this...
If I may impose a question, what is the best unscented antiperspirant and shower gel? I am currently using sure unscented deo. I use to love the Mitchum but even though its unscented, I find it has a...
When I walk outside with my new sample of Balafre, I sing Zippidy Doo Da and magical cartoon birds appear on my shoulder lol
Balafre from my sample. It was love at first sniff. Can't wait to have a full bottle. I will douse myself in it.
I've mentioned this somewhere, but the Costa Azzurra has certain elements of Italian Cyprus to it. They are kissing cousins if you will. The Mandarino is as the name suggest. Prominent of mandarin...
@Dougczar, it is indeed hard to find. Neimans is procuring it for me. Its not carried in their stores per se, but one or two might have a piece if your lucy to find it. Otherwise you have to order...
This is nice actually. Very smooth and wearable. Very different from the progenitor and flankers. Kinda has that dark sexy feel to it. I'm not sure it is FB purchase material for me but I'd wear...
Welcome back! I recall you introducing me to Givenchy III :)
Hehehehe. I need to return the soap on a rope and full range I put back for an x-mas gift. KIDDING! Hednic would hire assains on me lol
Me personally, rose fragrances. Didn't like them, liked...
They are very different. While JDA is very beautiful, I almost find it too floral and fem for me to pull off. However, the TF MDA is very prominent with the fruit and freshness. A very good fragrance...
The costa azzurra has some elements similar to Italian Cypress to my nose. I liked it, but my fav is oud wood from TF.
Also, I got to smell the entire clive christian line again. No.1 is my fav and bottle worthy. Someday lol
Try the fig scent in the armani prive line. I agree with acqua universalis. Also just fell in love with Balafre. So clean and distinguished.
I agree Hednic. I sprayed on my sample and while at my training, I felt classy, fresh, and unique. Uber excellent this juice is! I can't believe I am just now discovering this. In fact Hednic, I...
I just got back from Santa Barbara on business, but made time to run over to Neimans, Bloomingdales, and Nordstroms. Needless to say, only Neimans had inventory that excited me. I went through a...
Bummer. Guess I'll just scratch that idea lol
Smelled this today. I think its a very nice fragrance. Very smooth and a good clean smell. I'm surprised the tonka didn't bring this one down into flames for me like most fragrances with tonka. I'd...
I like a lot of Chanels, but my fav for this climate would be Bleu de Chanel. Lovely stuff.
Encre Noir would be my choice, but Guerlain Homme Intense might be a good choice for summer. However, I'd still pick EN.
You all make valid points and agree completely. It makes total sense. I've read all about this and have known this for years. I have just been awakened and experienced this first hand, which gave the...
It years past, it seems there were more traffic on the female forum. Not sure if this is my imagination. I don't know why this is so taboo. Its a product most all of us use. Perhaps they treat it...
If yourself wouldn't consider opening one, the you've answered why the rest of us wouldn't perhaps. I agree in that limited interest wouldn't support a brick and mortar.
Creed quality is there because my nose tells me so. I couldn't care about marketing and honestly don't follow it. I think its interesting that Creed has never backed up any claims by having...
I've have been strictly notorious for applying fragrance to my shirt. It wasn't near my nose to cause headache and I liked the fact that I could change shirts and be rid of it if need be. Lately,...
I use to love that stuff. Haven't smelt it in years but hard to say if I'd still like it.
I applied one spray to the wrist of Eternity and dabbed on to the other wrist. This was excellent for the gym and all that was needed. Eternity is somewhat a powerhouse on me. I only caught pleasant...
Congrats on the rare find! I love my greens and the bottle is no exception. Hope the juice is spectacular!
The lavender sounded promising, but since reading the reviews, I think its safe to say they are a pass for me.
I'll sniff them if I get the chance, but they don't sound interesting to me at this time.
I agree with Pluran and I suppose thats a good clear review of it. Where I disagree with Mr. Reasonable somewhat, is that I feel this is something more that the typical department store release,...
I don't care for the coconut or suntan lotion type scents. Remove that note and the lime is just gorgeous but is terribly fleeting as is the whole experience. Not bottle worthy for me.
I would love this so much if the rose wasn't in it. For me, thats the note that I can't get along with.
Agree and is my fav creed of all I own.
Not a fan of any but Prada if I had to choose.
Just enjoying the masculine musk coming from my J. Crew 3 n 1 shower gel.
On me that would be Mr. A cologne guy but perhaps not for you?? I live in a world of 1-3 sprays.
I don't get paint. I'd rather wear this and oddly enough lasts longer on me than Opus VII
Still going strong on my strip today. What can I say, it's presence is still solid. Very manly. Keeps drawing me in for a sniff. $110 is not bad for this and beats many more expensive ones IMO.
Fall through your day peaceful and happy!
Thats interesting. He apparently has no concern for the stinger. Funny how folks on Discovery Channel always cuts the stingers off lol.
Similar but different. I like each one for different reasons, but tend to prefer OV.
Can't go wrong with either. Aventus is a sure bet, but most women love MI as well. So, pick the one you like better and use it as a tool, not the plan.
Actually, I'm quite impressed with this. I sprayed this on a strip and threw it in the bag with my shoes that I bought at Nordstroms. This has filled up my bedroom all afternoon and night. Love the...
I'm loving the pencil shavings in this. I'm going to wear my sample out and see how I feel. Could be bottle worthy. Congrats TIS on your acquisition!
I wear anything I feel like. However, I use a light hand and most days, I rush out the door and forget to apply anything. It all depends on how I feel. Fragrance should never be used to cover up B.O....
Sometimes the nozzle can be miss-aligned causing an unplanned application. I try to check.
MI but want to look into a nice lemon scent. I also like Royal Lyme.
It can't be Aramis; Sir Hednic went back in time and destroyed the recipe and gave the creator amnesia with his ray gun that he subsequently had to retrieve from the future lol. A hassle? Very worth...
Bleu de channel
Not really a fan of those on your list.
Yes just ask. Was a Royal Oud out in 2009? Antaeus?
I just like LS. You should be fine.
I'd say if your skin is really oily, then the fragrance could mix with it in a not so good way, but other than that, no.
Vince Camuto. I'm flying out to TX for a few days and taking Bleu de Chanel with me in case I can't pop in and post.
The Chanel of the two.
I rather liked the original.
Love it also!
Always wanted to try French lover but can't get a sample. Sounds wonderful!
Eternity is a fav and euphoria intense is awesome also. Don't question the magic lol
What an old thread, but I didn't want to start a new one. So, I can see where others compare it to Creed's Green Valley, but in honesty it is more similar to Kiton for Men. It has that Mace-like...
Very interesting. You should follow-up with a real good cheapie and see if quality/price is perceived as compared to the Killian.
Octvarium, I agree. I'm a fan of mont blanc pens and their earlier fragrances. If I get a chance to sniff Emblem, I will, but haven't seen it. I can follow Luca on a certain level, but I can't...
I'm wearing the discontinued Bobby Jones that I won off ebay.
