    1. This is because when Amouage changed bottles in 2008, the concentration changed as well on many perfumes. In some cases the scent was reformulated as with Gold. Don't know about Ciel though.

    My proposition would be, even while i hated JC Ellena's scents in the past, that with Eau de Pamplemousse Rose Ellena exceeded the current Eau d'Orange Verte, and Eau de Gentiane Blanche ties it.

    Yes, it was reformulated. One version is less powdery and has more of the "gasoline" note than the other. Don't know if this is the reformulated or the vintage one.

    It is great, and I get a musk/oakmoss/vetiver/cypress drydown, no amber.

    EDP is reformulated.
