    I, too, found Magie Noir to be more floriental. The reformulation seems more "cleaned up", slightly metalic, less lush, creamy, and dark, but I still love her.

    I prefer the EDP-bigger, heavier floral with less aldehydes (it seems to me), sweeter, less powdery drydown. I'm all about smelling those May roses and Grasse jasmine here....

    I need a lot of sweet in my scents. If I don't (a la chypre) they smell sour (like pure florals) or burned (wood, vetiver, patchouli). I do best with sweet ambers and musk with some floral notes.
