    I’m enjoying Noir Epices by Frederic Malle. I suppose it isn’t boozy. But I think it’s a winter scent for most people who pay attention to such things.

    2 small sprays of Noir Epices by Malle

    I really enjoy this a lot. I am traveling and it’s not my sheets so I went very light. But it was nice falling asleep to this wonderful fragrance.

    Wearing Botany Bay today. It is supposed to be based upon chalk. This one is a bit of a lightweight but I’m only a few minutes into it.

    It seems aquatic but in a classy way.

    I have done further research on the civet issue. It is difficult to know you are sourcing ethical civet and the abuse of these cats is really terrible. Russian Adam has never used real civet for this...

    I have Rose Oudh attar which is very nice.

    I can’t say it’s any better than Sultan Pasha, Mellifluence or Elixir Attars though.

    I’ve really been enjoying Iris Chypre from Elixir Attars. It is fantastic and along classical perfumery lines that are French rather than “Arabic” or “Indian.”

    I wanted to follow up for you on my story. I got 2 Sir Winstons (supposedly although I am not sure still) and 1 Zemfira. I notified them and they promptly sent via DHL a new bottle. And a 9mL sample....

    I hate when that happens. Once I got a sample from Prin, of the most expensive Aksum that cost over US$500 a bottle, and it was the ONLY sample that I have ever got that had broken.

    Last night i wore a Mellifluence attar. Often I wear one of these at night. They don’t last more than a few hours but they are fantastic and keep me happy when I’m with my wife relaxing on the couch...
