Two plain and simple, flat, honest to God timeouts today. Whenever the site DOES load, I feel my 1990's youth coming back to me in spades. 56kb festival, like.
Heavy rotation between Jeke and Tribute ATM.
Add to that a good, healthy large pinch of hygienic fascism as well. These fucks (EU) generally want everyone to be the same, look the same, eat the same, behave the same, and apparently smell the...
At the age when the candles are now more expensive than the cake.
I'm in the same boat... I found it generic, bland, and unimpressive. All I got was fruit juice-like haze, not that much pleasant to sniff either.
I just don't get the hype popularity around this....
Clearing up things I disliked and a few awkward presents ;)
-Mecca Balsam 32 ml, full, with box, 70€
-Amouage Jubilation XXV 100ml with box, 65% full, 90€
-Creed BdP, 75ml, 60% full, 60€...
Is life sustainable without Fourreau Noir? Don't think so.
LOL, sorry about that. Definitely Safran Troublant, if memory serves right.
Does anyone think that the latest Hermessence, Paprika Brasil, is dangerously close to being a ripoff of l'AP's Safran Troublant?
They seem very similar to me, so just curious...
Both L'Artisan and Guerlain are very difficult to pronounce for a native English speaker, they contain sounds not available in English.
L'Artisan should sound more or less like larteezhan, and...
+1 for seattle_4, she and her hubby are friendly people always eager to satisfy their customers. Highly recommended.
Another very good one on eBay is fragrant_fripperies5, she's also very nice and...
What about those:
Andy Tauer's L'Air du Désert Marocain, clearly that's strong stuff, but maybe not as "thick" or syrupy (sp?) as Lutens'... But I think it wouldn't have been incongruous in SL line.
Tauer's L'Air du Désert Marocain
Serge Lutens Chypre Rouge
Andy Tauer L'air du Désert Marocain
SL Bornéo 1834
Serge Lutens Chypre Rouge.
Hermès Poivre Samarcande. I just wish they'd made a Concentré version of the stuff, it's too light as it is. But as of now it's my top scent.
Bulgari Eau Parfumée au Thé Rouge. Works well in summer too...
D&G PH? This shaving foam hint... ;)
Hermessence Poivre Samarcande
Amouage Dia. Seems snobbish, but really isn't. I was just blown away but the scent.
I have the same experience with it as Baron. I saw it at Sephora, sprayed it and decided to snatch a bottle right there. I love this juice -but then again I'm somewhat of a Jean-Claude Elléna fan ;)...
If memory serves right it was discontinued by Amouage about two years ago, but I can be wrong...
Terre d'Hermès. SOTE: Poivre Samarcande.
Quite so. Notwithstanding the fact that it makes sense financially if you wear it a lot... ::)
Well, I've found out my preconceptions were unfounded. I went to Creed's boutique in Paris today, and they had REL in the 8.4 oz flask for 118 euros, which is roughly $140. Actually less than...
-Royal English Leather
-Bois du Portugal
I'm in Paris, actually, and could go directly to Creed's, but it'll probably cost a kidney and a half to buy directly from them, so I was looking for potential other, better deals....
I tried eBay too, all that seems to be available are the 2.5 sprays, but thanks anyway.
Saw that one, thanks.
But..."Creed Royal English Leather products are currently unavailable to sell online. "
I've looked around quite a bit, but couldn't locate the 250ml splash flask. Anyone happens to know where to find it? It appears rather hard to find online.
Ugh. The horror, the horror.
The stuff actually made me sick... Only recommended use is for chemical warfare, and with caution advised to the manipulator, at that.
