Great choices everybody, very inspiring!
Today it's Samsara EDP for me...still wishing for rain!
Praying for much needed rain, so Apres L'Ondee
Vintage Mitsouko parfum today!
When I went to a local antique dealer to pick up some things I'd bid on at an auction, I noticed a perfume lot (4 Mitsouko and one Cabochard, along with a few crystal...
Wearing Balenciaga Talisman today. Have a great day!
Starting my day in Cacharel's Anais Anais. I haven't worn this in years, and I should.
Good morning! Wearing Mitsouko for a lovely day of babysitting, dog walking, and, hopefully, a bit of time to pick up the "stuff" I bought at a local auction (lamps and vintage china).
Doesn't sound silly at all! I'm all for traditions that make for joy and comfort!
Bal a Versailles for this lovely, cool Sunday.
House of Weil for me, this is a great excuse to wear Zibeline!
A rose extrait I bought in Bulgaria, doesn't have a name
Turbulences by Revillon. I have no idea why I ignored this one for so long!
Almost went with Penhaligons Bluebell, but grabbed another blue fragrance instead...Courreges in Blue. I felt like some cooling oakmoss today.
This is the only Neil Morris, I own and it was a blind purchase, based on the promise of lilac. I recall rainy days and lilacs growing up and had a romantic notion about it. It is lovely "in the end"...
This weeks sync is syncing with my own Revillon revival week, so I'm in aldehyde heavy Detchema today.
Away for a few days. Today I'm enjoying Douce Amere.
Starting my long day ahead in Revillon Turbulences!
Revillon's Detchema (Mia's scent in Rosemary's Baby)
Actually in sync and wearing Lavande Velours by Guerlain.
Marc Jacob Essence for me today.
Ineke Briar Rose for another hot day!
Heavy smells were the order of the day! I never thought of perfumes complimenting tobacco, only competing, but it is an excellent point!
My favorite Guerlain, Vol de Nuit
Jardins de Bagatelle!
Ivoire is just beautiful. A slow approach to these matters is a great idea. My husband and his sister rushed through their mother's place and regretted not taking their time to reminisce and collect...
A tiny bit of very vintage L'Origan parfum
Another scent with a splash of cinnamon, but a lot of springy hyacinth is Bluebell by Penhaligons, but it's a generally unusual concoction.
Serge Lutens' Rousse starts out a bit strong but modifies into a nice cinnamon scent, I recommend it!
Not so hard for me to understand, when I think of women like Barbara Stanwyk, Gene Tierney, and Linda Darnell. The femme fatale was alive and well and the films, music, and fashion of the times make...
Spending the afternoon grandmomming in Bulgari Petits et Mamans.
Three stand out: From men: Bal a Versailles
From women who are about my age: Goddess (a Marylin Miglin scent I received as a gift) Several women have actually followed me...
Feeling the need for carnations, so Voile d'ete for me today
Wearing Briar Rose for sweet rosy dreams.
Always LOVE your avatars MikePerez!
Wearing Antonia's Flowers today, something springy for another day of heavy duty heat
Knit at Night, I am so sorry for your loss.
Today, I am back in Fendi, but wearing Theorema.
Congratulations to Kumquat on her 10k!
Today is a working day, so I'll wear Eau de Guerlain as it's beautiful, classic and stays close.
Wearing Molinard's Ecoute-moi today. Yes, I know it's a soapy sort of citrus, but on a hot day it works as clean and fresh for me. D&G Sicily was a second choice, but is much stronger.
Wearing Eau de Fleurs de Cedrat today
It must be the grandmotherly life! Thanks
The dearly and nearly departed Fendi scents.
Also obsessing about how to scale back my collection.
Beginning my Monday in Fendi EDT
I agree with both of these, and with the Guerlains and Chanels.
Perfume can be a masterpiece when you consider the fabulous range from dimestore to high end niche and the variability even within...
Thanks! It was time to let go of Miss Swanson.
Almost went for Lanvin My Sin, but am wearing Cacherel Eden instead.
Thanks! I figured it was time to give Ms Swanson a rest, besides I'm more her age in Sunset Boulevard than in the silent era!
It's a practically perfect fragrance!
I wore Bourbon French Blue Blossoms today.
Enjoy your visit!
I bought quite a few Ava-Luxe scents back when they were less pricey and it was the BN trend. I still enjoy Midnight Violets, LTBL, and the two carnations.
The very beautiful Norell, in parfum
Wore Marc de la Moraniere Sissi for daytime and switched into Ava-Luxe Midnight Violets for evening.
Ineke Scarlet Larkspur this morning. Will revert to Fendi for evening, missing it already
Wearing beautiful Fendi today. Impossible to conceive that this line is only part of perfume history.
Courreges Empreinte for this evening
You may post about any scent you like! Basenoters are always pleased to learn about something lovely they may have missed. Welcome.
Today I am wearing Eau de Guerlain.
Good morning! Chanel No. 19 for me today. Wonderful in the heat.
Wearing Floris Zinnia today.
I'm wearing Molinard Nirmala today
Molinard de Molinard
Habanita parfum, I love it in the heat
Good Morning. I'm tolerating the heat in vintage Houbigant Chantilly. This was a big mass market success when I was a teen, and now I can see why.
Ormonde Jayne Tsarina today. I preferred yesterday's Qi
Ormonde Jayne Qi from a sample.
Heading off for a seminar day in Lanvin's magical My Sin...being off the ICU for the day almost feels sinful these days.
Loved this! Will be hunting for it tonight, thanks for the reminder about this scent.
Happy Birthday, RHM.
Today, I wore the vintage Chloe parfum again. Held up well in the muggy weather. Tonight I'm wearing Ava-Luxe Moss, an old favorite.
Some really glorious, vintage, Chloe parfum that I snagged on ebay. Bliss!
Back to the artic air masses, wearing SL Douce Amere for warmth, comfort and its fabulous feel.
Wore Vol de Nuit today.
Wore Cinema EDP to work and Ava-Luxe Milk to Heavenly Hounds class
Michael Storer's Genvieve
Besides my beloved Weils, I would adore a nice big bottle of Coty Chypre
What a story Quarry! I had no idea that the school was attached to a much bigger history. My hospital has been debating the value of restoring old, unused buildings v taking them down and building...
Starting the day in Houbigant's Demi-Jour. Might break out the Norell parfum later on....feeling retro
Habanita, great in winter, sultry in the heat
Excellent haul! I love vintage perfume shopping!
Estee Lauder Dazzling Silver
L'Occitane also had a scent Miel and Citron that can probably be had cheaply on ebay, even had a shimmering version
OMG, I looked on ebay, and it's going for whackadoodle prices. It was nice but...
Back in the day, I wore My Sin (because it was so chic, and Jennifer O'Neill wore it) and Oscar de la Renta. Waaaaaaaay back in high school, I felt very cool in Faberge Flambeu or Tigresse.
I adore Cialenga, my favorite Balenciaga of all.
When it was available as a 60cc bottle, I bought it...so I still wear it sometimes. Today was a great day for a comfort scent. I don't look at the site too often know that the bottles are...
Love's True Bluish Light. Always warming and cheering
I find the concept interesting, and his has been a great read. Do I think that at my advanced age that a perfect scent will make me a guy magnet? No way. But I think scent is a powerful thing, and...
Went to work in Michael Storer's Winter Star, always a popular choice with my colleagues.
I do like Roses and More, Ken_Russell, it works on me.
Haven't worn it in a while, and it seems like the perfect day for it, One Perfect Rose.
Alain Delon's Le Temps D'Aimer and Iquita
The website is gorgeous and I am in pursuit of a great new floral. Something about Pentecost is intriguing and I am dying to know which perfume is "forbidden" at the gym? Sounds like a fabulous...
I love the idea of a perfume selection outing for the birthday. This would be a memory of a lifetime, getting a signature FM scent from, as Andrew Lloyd Webber's song says "the first man you...
I adore Shalimar. It has been a long time favorite and all my memories around this fragrance are pleasant. A favorite teacher wore it and as teenagers looking to be adults, many of my girlfriends...
Thanks, Larimar! It's nice to feel less stressed out and able to enjoy life again.
This evening, I shall return to an old favorite of mine: Parfum d'elle by Montana, the old one. It is relaxing...
Moods by Krizia. It really is a great scent, and I had forgotten about the silky looking box.
I empathize with all the dog walkers out there! Mine was pretty crazy on a leash (and occasionally...
Lanvin's Scandale is another you might love!
Fendi is a big loss to fragrance lovers
Yes. The poor Caron's! How I love Poivre and Narcisse Noir. Another one I never hear about, ever, was Robert Piguet's Musc Blanc. It is very special.
I think I may be around more, the odious degree is coming to a close and this last class is not horrible and time wasting as so many of the others. After two years, I can get back into perfumes,...
Moods is truly unique, I can't off the top of my head think on anything in the stable like that one. I went through a mini splurge about a year ago and bought a bottle of Moods, you will definitely...
Went to work in SL Douce Amere.
Back up bottle of Houbigant's (not Dana's) Demi-jour.
This is my favorite sort of thread as I desperately miss some of these old scents. Weil was such a glorious house, and if I could time travel, I'd sneak back and buy up all those 9.99 bottles of...
