If you are just looking to switch it up, I'd choose Nautica Voyage.

Thank you for the information about Clive's fragrances. The chemistry in fragrances eluded me for a bit,and I neglected to think of concentration.
Really? I thought No.1 was pure perfume. I was just going off of luckyscent, sorry about that. I hadn't known that they actually labeled one pure perfume, but I haven't really checked out Clive...
Oh, I had no idea someone had started a thread before with this. I too couldn't fathom spending that much money on 10 ml, especially when there are other pure perfumes for a lot less. I'm just...
I was bored and was just browsing luckyscent to see what else they had, and found something interesting. I know of plenty of fragrances that are quite pricey, but this almost made me laugh,...
I've always loved cedar, I have one in my yard and loved it as a kid growing up.
Why would you mix the vintage and reformulated?!
To the OP, if the batches are the same, feel free.
All looks fine except that bit of arabic, but I'm not familiar with the bottle ( Arabic probably means grey market which is by no means a bad thing). The bottle was from May 2007, so that's why you...
Ambre 114 or 1725 from Histoires de Parfums
Chanel: Allure Homme EB
Givenchy: Play Insense
Hermes: Ambre Narguile
YSL: La Nuit
I don't care for either of them, but if forced, I'd choose LIDGE.
I laughed too hard at this. My vote was for Chanel too.
For sure Dior Homme. Save the intense for when you take the individual on a dinner date. Good luck!
Rock Volume One is up there.
Start off with the Versace MEF, then move on from that bottle. If you're looking for something that would suit you better, you could check Egoiste/ Platinum Egoiste. Another to look at early on would...
First saw Tobac Rouge on Fragrantica.
Generally any fragrance that is on the niche side of price can be found at www.luckyscent.com/ (Not all fragrances have samples available, but most do). I would recommend checking out the actual...
Two niche samples I've recently tried and liked are Sushi Imperiale, and Bergamote 22.
I would also recomend L'humaniste. Creed also has quite the selection for summer (Aventus, GIT, VIW, etc.)
Bois 1920 - Sushi Imperiale
Dior and Guerlain are close for me, but Dior would win for there is a greater variety between the three compared to the Guerlain Trio.
Bergamote 22 and Sushi Imperiale seem quite safe in my opinion.
There are many places you can get samples from.
I would suggest:
-The Perfumed Court
There are many other places to get samples, but for the sake of simplicity, I would...
+1 for Burberry London & Bleu De Chanel
I don't know what is too sweet for you but you could try
-Dior Homme Intense (or the others in the line)
All have pretty decent...
Cartier roadster makes me gag every time, and I'm not sure why.
Aventus varies with every batch, which may be why you don't get pineapple. Some batches have better longevity, some are heavy smoke, some are heavy pineapple, and some are down the middle. If you...
You most likely got one of the smokier batches of Aventus. Versace Eau Fraiche and Bleu de Chanel are two citruses that are very polular.
+1 for Bulgari Black & Dior Sport.
I'm around your age and would recommend:
Two colognes on the cheaper end that come to mind right away.
Burberry London (Tobbacco)
Guerlain Homme (mint, Lime & rum)
Dior homme intense
In the higher price range are the Montale Aouds that can last days on my skin.
Sadly I don't have any stores or boutiques anywhere near me, so I've been forced into ordering samples.
Gah, another recommendations thread, right? I'm in college full time with one high school class (16) and I am looking for something else to try , or buy. I don't want the general recommendations that...
With the negative temperature, and 30 mph winds,
Dior, as it is easier to like, IMO.
Bleu or Play intense would be the better of the two for your last choice. I would suggest one of the DH's as well.
Go with DHI; I don't think you could go wrong with it.
Something from the Guerlain Homme line
Versace Man eau Fraiche
I have just heard many stories that when one wears Aventus, the smell is "gone" after a few hours, but people around you ~8 hours later can smell you from afar.
Just curious, where do each of you generally prefer to spray your fragrance? I used to spray on each wrist, but I've moved to the front, and back of my neck. Where do each of you generally get the...
Drakkar Noir, (because nodoby has moved to a different scent), TdH, or Aventus.
Something woody and/or smoky for the harsh northern Minnesota.
Only tried 3 of them, but I enjoyed Jub XXV the most. In order:
+1 for BdC & London
Original santal/ Individuel
Thierry Mugler Line
Frapin L'humaniste & 1270
If you can form a good outfit out of it, then go ahead. I would still stay away from the reed though, but beige should be just fine.
Black dress boots look fine, and I feel as they would be great for formal occasions. Only as long as you pick out a good pair. Dress boots can fit the look of an oxford, but be more "daring" in a...
This brand will last you much longer than your normal backpacks, like 6 years after you graduate longer, but only if you treat them right.
I don't think you should base your headphone choice off of style, they aren't meant to be accessories. The second pair looks slightly better, but I would focus on sound quality first IMHO.
I'm 16, and I've gotten a decent number of compliments on this pair.
A couple others to consider, (I love wingtips)...
Double posted :/
Designer - Bleu de Chanel, Man eau Fraiche
Cheapie - 360 red
Niche - L'humaniste
Perry ellis and mont blanc have a few good cheapies. Your list looks like a very good place to start.
Check out luckyscent, TPC, etc for samples to smell. You need to just sample a few of each and find out what you enjoy. Most any aquatic/fresh will be fine to start out with.
Beauty encounter and FragranceX. I'm weary of overstock, and amazon depends on what store you buy it from.
Pure malt for me today.
Both versions of Chanel's Egoiste. It's just not pleasant to me.
Aventus was one of the first samples I tried when getting into this hobby, and I loved it then, and still do.
Mandorlo di Sicilia
Versace - Man Eau Fraiche
The One - D&G
Is there anything you would recommend over PC for a more reasonable price, or just not discontinued?

Just looking for an enjoyable coffee fragrance that is more...
Should I buy up Pure coffee for $175 right now? I just am not too sure because I haven't tried it, and my sample is late. Also, thoughts on if more will go up on eBay soon.
Only on five different people in the past year or so (many times, same scent). 3 AdG, 1 Calvin, and 1 Nautica. Surprisingly, I haven't smelt anything other than AdG in my first semester at college....
From reading all of the opinions on the subject, I can seem to trust eBay. My question is, what makes these decants of rare/niche fragrances so safe? I can see that the profit margins are lower than...
Never really had short hair before, and I decided to go with a shorter style (perhaps trendy now, I guess). Any ideas if I should style differently/ not at all? One with glasses and...
If I've tried the fragrance, $250 max as of now. $150 blind. Cheap I would say under $40.
That was my worry about the cold, I tend to be stingy, and choose the cheapest shipping option. I feel like I should be fine with most bottles, but my samples is where I get anxious, because they...
I'm going to go with the seemingly more popular opinion as well, New Haarlem.
In your opinion, do you think that PC will be re-released just like PM? I'm curious because I feel like I would love it, going to get a sample soon, but the price is quite steep for a bottle.
I would personally avoid all of the above for obvious reasons. Unless you are 13-20 and aren't looking for a relationship (like above said), go ahead.
For me it depends if the floral notes are the heavy hitter in the fragrance, or are more subtle. IMO, if you like it, chances are that it will work.
I've been interested in finding a good coffee frag to wear too. I'm going to have to get my nose on some of these.
Another for great longevity and projection being great for most everyone. I tried this on myself at home, not a smart idea haha. 1 million needs a place to roam free.
Oh, I thought it was both heat and cold, not just heat. Thank you guys :)
I know that shifting in temperatures and light is bad for fragrance over a period of time. My question is that how, if at all, would shipping to Minnesota affect the juice? From day to night may be a...
Sorry for such a newbie question, but I am wondering where to order from. I'm looking at getting pure malt. I was looking at beautyencounter, because of the discount and coupons. I was also looking...
What winter fragrance in your collection (sample or bottle) do you enjoy the most? A niche, and a designer.
Desinger- Pure Malt
Niche - Ambre Narguile
I don't have too much to chose from, so...
My 23 year old brother still swears by them for some reason (I'm trying to get him to switch to cologne), and I think that they are god awful. It could be because I was nearly choked out in 6-8th...
Welcome, fellow newcomer!
Again, I have another question that has been asked around a lot, but I am looking to hear more recent stories and opinions.
Feel free to suggest more, but I am looking at what sites to mainly order...
Thank you very much! I wish I could check out a lot of the boutiques like creed, bond, guerlain, etc. but I live in the middle of nowhere (Mn) with only sephora and macy's ~200 miles away. I realized...
I'm 16, and in a weird situation. I go to college full time, and have a class in highschool due to a program where my college is free, and early.
I'm looking at a lot of niche sampler/discovery sets...
