All 3 are nice, but Journey is the nicest.
If you like DH, Bois d'Argent is worth a try.
Leather Oud & Eau Noire are my favs.
Way way way over exaggerated.
Of course. Anyone who answers "no" might as well stop wearing fragrances all together.
At this rate Montale will soon run out of perfume ingredients to blend with oud.
Looking forward to Aoud Potato.
I'm a big fan of DH, but DH Eau is awful to me. Some chemical in the base that reminds me of A&F Fierce. Definitely prefer Infusion.
Speaking of Creed, I've heard that their history may also not be entirely true.
I had a quick sniff recently and found it pleasant, but certainly not unique or interesting. In the same vein as White, but I like White more.
F by Ferragamo Pour Homme.
Sweet and cloying. Don't like the coconut note either. A pass for me.
It needs to macerate. Spray it a few times, then store it away until the year 2020.
Seriously though, a lot of people complain about the performance on this one. To me, it's one of the strongest...
Congrats. No it's not.
Exactly what I've been saying. Some people insist that this fragrance is only capable of getting negative reactions, but my experience has been the complete opposite.
Haha. No worries!
I got 100+ notifications a couple hours ago. Safe to say it's working again. :)
1 poll, 3 different voting categories.
Invictus has better performance, but Spicebomb smells much better.
Andrea Maack - Coven.
Even more of a realistic forest smell than Norne.
There'a already a thread.
Have not gotten an email notification since early this morning.
Depends where you buy it.
Option B - Creed Windsor
Eau des Missions is like a watered down SDV. Not particularly longlasting imo.
Another option is Diptyque Eau Duelle which can be found discounted online. Vanilla is definitely the star, totally...
^ I'm one of those people. When I first smelled it, I thought it smelled like mothballs. I can't say I disliked it, but it did smell weird to me. Now it's one of my absolute favorites. Perhaps my...
I doubt there are very many people on BN who own all of those fragrances, and wear them regularly enough to tell you which one recieves the most female compliments.
I like Terre d'Hermes, but I...
Burberry Sport is almost identical.
Holy sexual innuendo batman! :embarassed:
Looking forward to smelling it. Hope it's more of a departure from the original than Eau Fraiche was.
Woo hoo! Plenty more where that came from, op! :2vrolijk_08:
You guys know this thread is over a year old, right? :lolk:
Was discontinued years ago. I think a large portion of what's out there now is coming from BN very own xmen. I bought 5 30ml bottles from him about a year ago. At the time he told me that his father...
So happy for you, op!
Hope you got the extra pineappley batch!
Say whaaaat??
I'll have to dust off my copy of "The Guide" later tonight.
Lol. Exactly what I was thinking.
- acquires bottle of Curion
- "omg. Guys. Curion. Where have you been all my life! ! Love it! Top 5 for sure! Woo hoo!"
- sells bottle of Curion
I'm well stocked, but indeed a great price on a great scent.
For me, it's a dislike. Comes off as very sweet and feminine smelling, although it's been a few years since I smelled it.
Awesome band!
It's only popular with fragrance lovers. I've never met anyone who's ever heard of Creed, let alone wears their fragrances.
One of my favorites from Creed. Second only to Windsor. One of the few scents I own a backup of, so if that precious oud ever does run dry, I'll be set.
You started with the best imo! I thought I had read that the fragrances in the Opus line were supposed to be more daring and unique than the regular line, but when I tried them, I found most of them...
I stopped reading after "from Fragrancenet". It's authentic.
Smart move. Imo Lyric Woman is more masculine than the men's version. Epic Woman is also an easy wear for a man. Beloved and Fate Woman are both great fragrances, but planted firmly in feminine...
Al does seem biased, but I don't think it's because he is "in the pocket of Creed". I think he simply wants to do more street scents videos at the Creed boutique, and if he were heavily critical,...
Gotta disagree with you there SF. They're fairly different from the current big sellers in the designer realm. They have a certain updated classic feel that I don't think meshes well the 1 Million...
30ml please and thank you!
edit: The powers that be have spoken. I'll check out now. :lolk:
You guys can talk about Aventus batches all you want, I really don't care, and I stay out of it for the most part, but when I see someone say something like this:
that's where I feel the need to...
And you'd be correct.
Why do you keep accusing me of trolling? I'm sharing my honest opinion. Please keep the personal attacks to yourself.
They are acknowledged by the manufacturers. For example, Chanel, Le Labo, & Frederic Malle have all admitted they've had to reformulate their fragrances.
Because one is real, while the other is a figment of some people's imaginations.
Now you're the one who is misunderstanding. There's a big difference between batch variation, and complete reformulation due to certain ingredients being restricted.
Just curious, how many...
This is totally bizarre. I find them very similar.
1 Million bro ...
Don't waste your time. This is Chanel's entry into the Versace Eros/Le Male/Brit Rhythm market.
Also, I thought the reception for this one had been mostly negative.
I was going to suggest Aoud Violet by Montale not knowing if it even existed. I figured Montale have blended oud with just about every note imaginable, so they probably have a violet. Imagine my...
This thread may help you understand...
Sure you can "get away with it", but eventually she'll realize it's missing...
I don't wear hats, but I have to say, I find the title of this thread hilarious.
I've worn it a few times in the summer, it does not last on me. 2-3 hours max. The first 4 reviews in the directory all complain of poor longevity, so I'm definitely not alone on this.
Both have abysmal longevity, but MI smells better to me.
Tuberose overload. I'm not a fan of the note in large quantities, so it wasn't for me.
Axe Peace smells like Fahrenheit.
I may like 1 out of 10 fragrances that I try, what do you think the chances are that you'll like all 4?
You done goofed op.
Roja Dove - Vetiver
Thanks for the info. Surprised to hear that the sales rep loved it. :undecided:
They have something for everyone. What are you looking for? What kind of fragrances do you like?
After a quick glance at your wardrobe, I think Timbuktu may be a good fit.
I've been making my way through the Azure collection this week. Not impressed. The Cedre has a very synthetic woody smell to it. The Fig scent disappeared completely after an hour or two,...
Right on the front page
The last 3? I only see 2? :lolk:
Directly right of the faucet looks like Gucci PH II?
Thread title sounds like a good name for a new Mavel comics movie.
The Oversprayer - able to clear large rooms with a single fragrance.
Haha! Did you make sure to tip the bathroom attendant? :cheesy:
Left of the faucet:
Mont Blanc Legend
Get a room you two.
I asked a coworker what he was wearing one day, and he said Aspen. I then asked what else he had, and he told me "oh Cool Water, Calvin Klein, Gio, an Ed Hardy one"....
Maybe it just doesn't work on your skin!
Thanks! Can't wait to try Montale's entry into the Oud market!
Atelier Cologne - Figuier Ardent
Bleu smells more similar to the original Allure than Edition Blanche does. Agree?
A fragrance doesn't have to smell exactly like another to be generic.
But I've always found it too similar to the Allure line. Look at the difference from Pour Monsieur to Antaeus. Then Antaeus...
Tried it briefly last weekend. All I can say is I liked it much more than the original. Seemed much less chemically, at least on paper. I plan to give it another look.
Thank you, moderator. This thread is for discussing all things Aventus, which is exactly what we were doing.
Hey, didn't you shit all over superfluous pastry in a thread last week for no apparent...
Do you think SmellyFinger would've gotten drastically different results had he conducted his experiment on someone else's skin, or on paper? I don't. Have a look through the negative reviews for...
Perhaps they just don't enjoy the fragrance, regardless of how it works on their skin.
Yup. That seems to be the only logical explanation! :rolleyesold:
Atelier Cologne - Mandarine Glaciale
What is it that you find entertaining about him?
Anat Fritz Tzora.
This made me laugh . Spoken like a true frag head.
Yes. That's what I've been saying this whole time.
Yes. My split of Windsor came from the Creed boutique, and I have had many manufacturers samples over the years. I've also tested bottles in store.
Never have. Never had reason to. My local official Creed retailer (Holt Renfrew) sells 4oz Creeds for $385 + tax = $435. I can get the EXACT SAME THING online for $150. A no brainer for me.
Speculation. You have no way of knowing the history of the bottles sold by fragrancenet. Now, allow me to speculate - The Creed boutique in NY sells bottles directly to fragrancenet in NY.
A simple poll. Do you make purchases from, and feel comfortable using the various online discounters like Fragrancenet, or will you only buy from officially licensed retailers?
In a storage container in the hot sun for 2 years? I think that is highly unlikely, but why couldn't the exact same thing happen to bottles sold by official retailers? And what about the bottles at...
