    Vintage Havana going cheap

I have bought a lot of this stuff over the last few months and love it. Now that it's coming into summer here I'll be spending a lot of time at the beach and always reach for Havana. I have enough to...

    Re: C'mon Basenotes!

Not like Basenotes, Bigsly. What if you want to read about a lot of discontinued or vintage frags? Basenotes has the best resources and members who have tried and tested most so that's invaluable...

    Re: C'mon Basenotes!

What a load of crap. As someone who has spoken to Koala and knows that he only wants the best for everything in his life and everyone else I think fraghead and fragranceman888 need to take a good...
  4. Re: Paper Passion: The Smell of a new Books/Paper fragrance!

Don't tell me what I can or can't assume. Girls won't like this smell. That's what I think and I believe they like sweeter smells.
  5. What smell do you like?

What scent do you like on a man or grown boy?
  6. Re: Paper Passion: The Smell of a new Books/Paper fragrance!

Girls won't like the smell of old books. That's just silly. If I wear something like that I'd never get a date. You have to wear something that smells like chocolate. Or biscuits. Not paper!

I like mice. They make good pets but since I've been trying fragrances I can't afford! Mice used to be 50 cents when I was little now there like $5!!!!!

I love this fragrance. It always gets me compliments and the women love it on me. I went out with this girl and she said she'd do special things to me if I would wear it.

I went to a club last weekend and this girl comes up to me and says I smell sexy. We go up the back in the corner and she goes down.

I congratulate Koala on trying to get something started here. Yes there are problems and at least he is trying to get people to discuss. Any other suggestions?

Re: "What does niche smell like?"

I have to disagree with you. Perfumery to my mind is indeed an art. Much like a conductor in front of an orchestra or a composer writing his score or a painter with his palette. It is a creation that...

Re: "What does niche smell like?"

IMO niche is a work of art and like some works of art they should challenge us thus broadening our sense of perpective. Try something like Hilde Soliani's Bel Antonio or Aqua di Cuba by SMN....

Re: Balthazar from Le Bon Marché (Paris)

Thanks to Koala for a decant of this. This reminds me of Magnetism for men without the cola accord at the opening. Very nice though I must give a few more wearings to see how it performs.

  18. Re: I don't own anything from these houses... recommendations?

Eau des Isles by MP&G is a very dry, dark coffee which is quite strong and long lasting on me.
