Burberry London all the way!
I got a 14H01 in the mail from fragrancenet and am not happy with it. It is extremely weak compared to a decant of what I beileve is W01 and it isn't pleasing. The new bottle smells like Fresco--not...
120mL of Aventus and 100mL of Burberry London! Can't wait for these to arrive
My top 3 are all creeds (Aventus, git, mi) so I'll list a few that are below the creeds.
- Neroli Portofino
- Orange Sanguine
- Sel Marin
- costa azzura
- bergamote 22
Uniqueness: Tom Ford Noir de Noir -- rose/oud done a lot but done with the truffle note in NdN is captivating and I wish other houses would try it
Best projection: le Male - although I find the...
Creed MI and La Nuit will always have a place in my collection. Cold and hot weather covered with those two, plus full bottles of both can be had through fragrancenet for less than $200
SMW = al rehab silver. Tested these side by side yesterday and was very surprised at the similarities. I wouldn't buy SMW due to the large price difference
Blue de Chanel, Fahrenheit, Spicebomb, john varvatos
What do you think the future of fragrances will be like? it seems like there has been a trend towards clean, fresh fragrances and a moving away from powerhouses of the past like egoiste, kouros,...
ONLY rules out a lot, but I'd have to say Acqua do Gio. I do enjoy adg but when I wear it wear it it is because the universal appeal
The holy trinity for compliments/universal appeal from Creed is Millesime Imperial, GIT, and the one OP mentioned not to mention :)
I'd buy The One and La Nuit. I'd spend the money elsewhere and get a different one than you have listed. If I had to choose, I'd pick Armani Code over L'homme though.
Allure Homme Sport
Tom Ford Noir de Noir is my favorite
Haha whenever a new fragrance comes out most people here will tear it apart. Give them a while, and they will start to rave about it. Really excited to try this one. The only store close to me is...
I don't like either of these but of the two Issey Miyake.
Winter: La Nuit de l'homme (designer), Noir de Noir (niche)
Spring: l'homme (designer), green Irish tweed (niche)
Summer: Chanel edition Blanche, Millesime imperial
Fall: Burberry London, portrait...
Green Irish tweed!
Le labo, atelier cologne, xerxoff. Atelier would be fine but don't like cologne added
Noir de noir is more masculine in my opinion. It is my holy grail and before I bought it I didn't think I'd like it due to a feminine vibe. Plenty masculine and smells wonderful
Jeremy Fragrance is my favorite by a mile. His reviews are fairly short, but provide good detail and he is very enthusiastic. I like dracdoc a lot too for his reviews and I like how he gets 100...
Awesome thanks for reporting to us. Let us know how you like them as you continue to test them!
Yes absolutely you can. I've ordered niche and designer through them and everything is completely legit.
It is probably my favorite of the allure line. Opinions sure have changed around here about it -- I loved it and bought it when it came out and it got a ton of hate. I guess any new...
La nuit de lhomme, ch men, dhi, green Irish tweed, Tom ford noir de noir.
Favorite is noir de noir. I've been wearing ch men quite a bit and am really enjoying it too and don't feel guilty putting...
Aventus. I like others more, but Aventus is versatile and I enjoy wearing it more. TV is a vanilla bomb for me and almost makes me sick. In fact, the first time I wore TV I went to the gym later in...
Wow I am really excited for this! Hopefully it doesn't change much from the original, but changes enough to not be recognized as the original Acqua di Gio.
You criticize a statement of fact that fan.of.devin pointed out but Mr. self assured's statement of "Now, go take your medicine!" is appropriate? Seems like that is a classic statement for knowing...
I enjoy wearing fragrance and will use it all the time even when I won't leave the house. Or I'll put it on at night before bed because some have a calming effect. However, everyone (I guess some...
1. Laid back nice guy: GIT or Mugler Cologne
2. The guy from dos equis commercial: Tobacco Vanille
3. Prettyboy: A&F Fierce
4. Muscular tough dude: Nothing. If I had to pick, though,...
I hope to be able to try more Creed fragrances one day, but from my short list:
DHI, Musc Ravageur
Prada Luna Rossa doesn't use citrus and it still very fresh. Works great in the heat.
Tom Ford Noir de Noir
4711 I believe is over 200 years old. I really like it, too. And it is dirt cheap.
D&G The One, Creed MI
D&G The One, Creed MI
I envy you! Glad you found something you really like that costs a fraction of aventus. Aventus isn't one of my favorites, though.
Burberry London, la nuit de l'homme
Neroli bases fragrances work well. Try acqua di Parma essenza and neroli Portofino by Tom ford. On the designer side Prada Luna Rossa comes to mind
1. Chanel eau Extreme
2. CH Men
3. YSL La Nuit
4. D&G The One
5. Versace PH
+1 for Versace Man. Would have recommended Byredo Black Saffron but noticed you are looking for something else.
Chergui from what I've put my nose on
I'd love to hear your thoughts as well. Atelier is a great house with great customer service.
I prefer the house of Creed. GIT, MI, SMW, and Aventus are all among my favorites. Bond No. 9's Scent of Peace and New Haarlem are also very good.
It is real, I wouldn't worry a bit! Like Renaissance_Man said above, the data on that site isn't comprehensive. Fragrancenet is a legit site that doesn't sell fakes. I've purchased form them many...
Edition Blanche for me. Some days it will be my favorite among my collection, and others I will think it smells like a lemon-scented cleaning chemical.
La nuit de l'homme would be a good date night fragrance for you.
SOTD: noir de noir
GIT! Absolutely love it and never get tired of it. I'll never be without it
Of the bottles listed I think the only safe blind buy would be la nuit. Dhi and Fahrenheit would be my next two choices, though.
I think the other day he mentioned he does collect jewels and gold watches.
I do feel like you do in that I regret buying fragrances I don't absolutely love. I've bought some after hype and have...
Try Green Irish Tweed, I think it would be a good addition to your collection.
I am moving to work in Orange County, California and would love to make an addition to my collection. I am in my early 20's and will be working for a professional services firm.
Dior Homme Intense. Seems very well-regarded on here but it is almost impossible to find unless you go to a boutique or perfume websites. Not a department store fragrance even though I feel like it...
I'm with you, if people don't like compliment threads, don't click on them. Simple.
I've received compliments on Bleu de Chanel (my mom loves this), Acqua di Gio (sister especially loves it,...
Headphones - Audiophile
I enjoy colonial essenza as well. I haven't tried the others enough to comment on them.
I like Prada Luna Rossa
I am not experienced but my box does look a little bit different. Above the green rectangle it has a crown-like symbol but it could depend on the batch. I believe I've heard of that batch number...
Got a compliment today wearing Dior Homme Sport (reformulated) while bowling. I put it on in the morning and its lasted throughout the winter day and got a compliment about 5 hours after application.
I remember seeing an insurrection pure bottle going for thousands at one point when everybody said it smelled just like aventus
I'd go with Dior Homme Intense. I enjoy Dior Homme but I think dhi does everything Dior Homme does but a little bit better. I havent given Dior Homme eau/parfum/cologne enough to have an opinion on...
I haven't tried Aqua fahrenheit but I did have Fahrenheit 32 and did not like the smell.
I'd go GIT because it is so much more versatile. If you live in a really warm climate year-round I'd go with MI, but assuming an average climate, GIT would be the better pick.
Don't spray colognes that are colored on clothes. I sprayed mugler cologne on a white shirt and it left a green stain. Now I never spray on clothes.
Dior Homme Intense is very unique. I'm in my early 20s and I think it can be pulled off even though its probably more appropriate for a more mature crowd. Also, Green Irish Tweed is not something I...
SOT SEAhawks game: Bvlgari Aqva
1. Creed GIT
2. Bleu de Chanel
3. Gucci Pour Homme II
4. Bvlgari Aqva
5. Boss Bottled
Dior Homme Intense and Dior homme are good. On the more expensive side Tom Ford Noir de Noir would work as well as Dior Ambre Nuit
I have only tried LIDGE and strongly recommend not blind buying it. I did when it was being hyped up, and it is probably the purchase I regret most. I think it smells like old man and my friends and...
+1 on Ambre Nuit
Polo (green bottle). I haven't tried secretions magnifiques but I'm sure that would be worse than polo.
Carolina Herrera CH Men
Bought 10ml of noir de noir
La Nuit de l'homme
Dior Homme Intense and a small bottle of Ed Hardy Love and Luck to compare with my Millesime Imperial. I had purchased dhi previously and sold it but have missed it since it escaped my small...
As I love La Nuit I may have to try this one out. If you guys haven't seen Jeremy's videos, they are great. He seems like he is totally genuine in his reviews and his passion for fragrance is clear....
Vanilla for me. I have yet to like a fragrance with vanilla as a prominent note. Ex. Tobacco Vanille and Le Male
Expensive: Green Irish Tweed
Inexpensive: +1 for Burberry London
I have le male, one million, and la nuit and haven't received compliments but have felt well-received by la nuit. I strongly dislike the other two.
I'd have to say l'homme by ysl, bvlgari aqva, and le male. Can't stand any of them and am now stuck with 100ml bottles. I also regret buying decants (10ml) of Lacoste blanc, ysl libre, creed viw, and...
Rochas man is a great inexpensive fragrance for F/W
I don't get many compliments, but I did get a compliment the other day from a classmate while wearing Chanel Allure Edition Blanche.
SOTD: Green Irish Tweed
Thank you Mitch and Tec972 for the responses regarding fragrancenet! I feel a lot better after hearing those responses.
Overrated: Pure Malt. I never have understood this one. I bought a 10mL decant and want to like it, but every time I try I end up scrubbing it off.
Underrated: Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. I know it...
I bought my first Niche, Green Irish Tweed. Also purchased 4711 for a fun scent and for history's sake.
Vanilla (generally don't like it so I seem to pick it out easily)
Tobacco (favorite note I must say)
+1 for Polo Blue. I'm not an expert like several other posters here, but Polo Blue screams cucumber to me. When I tested it the cucumber was so prominent that I didn't purchase the fragrance
I'd have to go with Tom Ford Black Orchid
I like Creed fragrances most but the quality control is by far the worst among all of the houses. Green Irish tweed and aventus are great scents when you get a good batch, but then if you get a bad...
Burberry London fits your criteria
Has anyone purchased from fragrancenet lately? Are they currently sending the bad batch everyone is talking about?
I'm somewhat of a beginner still and made my first jump into niche fragrances...
Platinum Egoiste is classy. I would for sure pick that, la nuit would be second.
I prefer la nuit
