Nice but not hype worthy.
1-Your batch number: A3312J02
2-Dominant note: fruity (Very little salt, fruit has bit of a rotten vibe to it)
3-Longevity : 6 of 10 (Patchy, depends on weather. Can get over 8 hours sometimes)...
Jeremy strikes again :)
My mental self imposed limit is £200/$300 but no fragrance I've tested so far is worth more than this.
Money is not an issue if I find a fragrance that blows my socks off.
Thats why I don't recommend blind buys, everyone has different taste. I don't like Fahrenheit and don't want to smell like petrol.
Wow... I wouldn't have the patience. I sample on card, if I like it, I sample on skin. Then I would sleep on it, read up on some reviews. Decide if I need it in my rotation and would I wear it...
Ain't that the truth. I use to save expensive things I have for special occasions. Now I feel everyday I'm alive is special.
I don't collect, I just use fragrances...all the fragrances I have are totally disposable.
A hobby can turn into an addiction and I go through phases of buying collections of things, be it watches, sneakers, etc. I've reached that point where fragrances doesn't excite me as much as...
This is a women's fragrance, would get a better response in the female section
There seems to be plenty of reviews on...
Bleecker Street, I would happily steal it but I wouldn't buy a bottle.
Grand...how much you got... Best be a falcon.
But I would take the money. The 2013/2014 batch are pretty good.
I got stuff I don't like which I use at home, just to use them up.
Avoid all the best selling fragrances and you'll be fine.
I often spray my clothes when I'm going out at night, but not when I going to work.
Never had any problems with damaged clothes.
I've the same batch and a little bit disappointed I don't get much ambergris on the drydown.
You must be lucky if your biggest regret is buying a cheap 8ml sample.
Plus isn't that the whole point, you buy samples so you don't waste money on full bottles.
My regret is buying Creed...
What's the point of buying so called classics if you don't like them.
Most: Tuscan Leather
Least: Boss Bottled
TDH is definity a mature smell. Best suited to someone smartly dressed.
Because its not masculine in a fruity way. Also might be a cultural thing but smelling of things like strawberry/bubblegum etc when you're 25 yr old+ seems wrong, more suited to younger people....
I've the same problem. When I tested it from a 50ml bottle I got the cocaine note then the leather would start to come in and when it drys down the raspberry would get stronger. I felt it was quite...
I think the buyer was being reasonable and you failed to manage expectations. Stock image of a new bottle and stated the wrong amount, I personally stay away from sellers using stock images. With...
I keep a spreadsheet of what I purchased but not what I wear, I use the SOTD feature on Basnote for that.
Frankincense it turns my stomach, closely followed by civet.
Went into town today with the intention of purchasing Interlude Man and sampling Memoir Man as I read a review saying the drydown is similar to Interlude Man.
But let me start with the back story...
Surprised you needed to ask these questions considering you know about batch numbers.
You have the new Creed sprayer, that is all. And longevity has ben discussed in length, it will improve with...
If you consider 30c as cold, I can't take you serious.
I don't get the hype either. Its very feminine on the dry down and I'm taking old skool/classic feminine.
I would of though this fragrance would be quite polarizing but reviews seems to be overly...
I found TV had a similar feel to Spice Bomb.
FragranceNet are very reliable but why would you buy from them if your in the UK, unless its a fragrance that AllBeauty or the Nose doesn't stock? As once FragranceNet adds on the VAT its not a great...
I voted for Creed as almost half my collection is made up of this house.
Erolfa works best when you go light on the "Creed" sprayer. I found on heavy application the calone note can make me...
Same for me, one of the reasons I don't wear it much, it just lacks longevity. But it was monster when I first got it, 2 years on it just weak. I know everyone is just going say its "olfactory...
I got Pure Malt from the Thierry Mugler store for £35, fact is that some retailers are just trying to make a quick buck. Also StrawberryNet is based in Hong Kong so they are just importing just...
I recently purchased Tuscan Leather from Selfridges and I when the SA was packing my item, she asked if I wanted any samples... to my surprise.
The samples are made up on the spot, thats why...
Not sure if theres much other there that could project better than Aventus. I would say that TV has half the projection power of Aventus... if that.
One Night Stand Part 2 - Bedroom Grand Tour... Coming soon to YouTube.
For me Mont Blanc Individuel and Bleu de Chanel are both beast mode for me, easily last the whole day.
I just trimmed down my collection to 25 from 30 and I feel so much better. I felt like I was hoarding and kept fragrances which I found barely ok but never enjoy wearing.
I always only wear a...
CD Dior Homme Parfum
OC Neroli Sauvage
TF Tuscan Leather
What about it? Thats the 2014 batch which is the same as the 2013 batch.
"About Dior Homme: thankfully, there isn't any difference in Dior Homme. The sample from Year 2005 and the one from Year 2014 smell exactly the same. I would say, if you buy Dior Homme, pick any...
I'm having a clear out and want to sell these as a job lot and not interesting in any splits.
Gucci Envy (about 20ml remaining - 40% full)
Midnight in Paris EDP (over 70mls - 95% full )
Price should always be a factor when reviewing. But the fragrances should be scored on scent alone and price accounted for but shouldn't be rated down due to cost.
But when it comes to "is it...
Nowhere I know of in the UK sells it discounted. Allbeauty used to sell it but never seems to have stock now.
You can try ordering it from France, its EU so there will be no import duty. The...
I personally think that is the safest out of a quite unsafe bunch.
Why do you need to blind buy Dior Fahrenheit, this one must be quite easy to test at a store.
So is mine and my batch code says mine was manufactured in June 2014.
I did a spray on the back of my hand at 5pm, now over 5 hours later I can still smell it on my hand.
Update: now almost 7...
Just out of interest is your bottle made in France or USA?
We're all equal, but some are more equal than others ;)
Millésime Impérial (43)
Dior Homme (31)
Virgin Island Water (23)
Silver Mountain Water (20)
Néroli Sauvage (16)
Dior Homme Intense (13)
Bleu de Chanel (9)
Most people wouldn't know what any of these popular fragrances smell like. The fact is that fragrances aren't worn by that many man.
I went to get TL but tested AdP Colonial Leather first before dropping big bucks on TL. Personally think AdP doesn't hold a candle to TL.
Not a fan of the citrus opening, the leather note was...
My final and most expensive ever purchase for 2014. The SA even filled up the atomiser, so I got 275ml of this stuff!
I had a small collection of designers fragrances since my early teens but never got into fragrances as I presumed they all smelled similar and didn't know about niche or high-end fragrances.
Cool water smells like Green Irish Tweed, so what's not to like.
You using the lords name in vain... Not cool man, not cool. Can we also add religious references to ban list please.
Totally agree with this. Some of the stuff people like on here I find very unpleasant. I find I'm more insync with the opinions on Fragrantica.
But I've been looking for wow fragrance for over a...
Another CH thread... Mitch please. Jeremy should demand some kickback from the sales of CH.
10oz bottle? You must bath in this stuff.
I can only speak for TV as thats the only one I tested but very keen on trying the two Guerlains you mentioned.
Your on the school bus so I presume you quite young. I find TV quite a mature scent...
Mine is a April 2014 batch if I remember correctly and it last full work day in the winter UK climate. I do about 5 sprays and I can smell it quite clearly for 5 hours and still get whiffs on my way...
Its definitely worth it for DHP its a monster compared to DH. I find DH a much lighter fragrance and doesn't last long.
So I guess I'll be frowned upon if I used the term "young person" too.
I can imagine that MiP is quite a polarising scent. I can also understand the older womans perfume smell comment too. The drydown is sometime very floral or vanilla heavy.
I don't consider myself a collector. But always have an itch to buy something new.
I try to wear my favourites the most, life's too short for second best. The ones I don't love I never wear I...
Glad to see that your feedback mirrors my previous post. In summary MiP is nice to have but totally redundant if you own DHi, unless you're a collector.
But at least you scratched an itch,...
I don't like the 3, but if had to chose one it would be Lidge but I wouldn't say its that work friendly.
Just compiled a list of all the fragrances I purchased in the past 1 year and a bit, when I started to take a more serious interest into fragrances. I think've done ok, I only paid over the odds for...
No store in the UK even stocks this, so a blind buy is the only choice.
Green Irish Tweed
Bleu De Chanel
Dior Homme Parfum
Dior Homme Intense
Dior Leather Oud
Strong cat piss...why?
I've used this site several times for my Creed purchases and they have been great.
My first purchased was Aventus and was bit of a punt as there was no talk of this retailer on this forum. I...
How great is the price? I got my 2013 bottle from fragranceshop ($136)
The box is normally sealed and did you have to prime the sprayer?
Its OK but too sweet for me and also when I wear it I don't enjoy it
Eucalyptus? Is that what the main accord of Bois D'Encens is? To me it's kind of milky and mouldy, its the same accord that I get when I tried CdG Avignon. I was hoping it would be more of a...
I really liked Encens Satin but hated Bois d'Encens, I had to wash it off after an hour as it made me feel sick.
Well thats not difficult, Bleu EDP is not getting good feedback.
Is the 2014 batch better in terms of longevity?
I unfortunately have the 2011 batch. I know SMW isn't a longevity or projection monster but some days I still smell it on myself after a full work...
Good choice. I didn't think that Bleu was that great after a quick sampling but after a full wearing I think its amazing.
PE is nice too but more of a classic scent and doesn't fit my style...
I'm not sure I would recommended this as blind buy but saying that I blind bought the EDP and I don't like Bulgari Black. The drydown does lean more towards the feminine side, but no more so than...
I think projection and longevity have a lot to do with it. People whom wear the weaker scents you just can't smell.
I wouldn't say 2013 is better than the 2014, the 2014 batch is just different. Anyone use to the classic GIT wouldn't instantly spot the differences, it's much greener and has a strong violet note...
I've about 60% left of Creed MI & VW but feel a need to get back up bottles... I need help :(
CH makes an OK work fragrance but lacks longevity to make it through the full work day. Put on 4 sprays with 1 of them on my shirt at 7:30am and it was gone at 1pm.
And if all else fails, it will be on your credit card statement.
Sorry to hear about your unlucky purchased. But please do share the retailer you purchased from when you find it, so people can avoid the same fate.
Never purchased a 30ml bottle, not worth the money. But do have one 75ml bottle and the box is the same as the 120ml ones.
Anything that is still projecting after 8 hours is good. Most turn into a skin scent in half that time.
I think a lot of women would disagree with that.
Like all addictions, its always about the chase...catch that dragon.
Love the dry down on Creeds too and Neroli Sauvage takes the crowd. The Neroli top might not last that long but that only means you can enjoy the sweet, sweet drydown quicker and it last a long time...
I feel Homme to be more versatile and classy. Fahrenheit parfum is nice and the gasoline note has been toned way down which I never liked. But its not something I could wear on a regular basis.
Haha... I was thinking the same thing. But its too late, now there are loads of fat bald men rocking CH Men thinking they are God's gift to women... lock up your daughters guys.
1 Million or Pure Malt.
After buying Bleu I realised how vital decent longevity is to me. In my collection of almost 30 bottles, Bleu is the only one I get real performance from (11hr+) projection. I was shocked and knew...
Sharing batch numbers and credit card details always a bad idea...
Its good but not amazing.
I never use to wear it about 2 years ago. But seeing that I spent so much money on it now, I need to wear it everyday.
By looking at your fragrance collection you must earn a lot more.
