Versace The Dreamer (the drydown)
Michel German - Deauville - (the drydown)
Go for a crowd pleaser, AdG, The One, BdC, Versace Man Eau Fraiche. CK One etc
Paris Hilton Just Me
Totally agree on the old traditionals
Murray and Lanman Florida Water, not exactly the same, but same vibe and Roger&Gallet Jean Marie Farina
Cuba Las Vegas
I don't love it, but I don't hate it and I have it in a smaller travel size so it gets to "go" sometimes. I like to take at least 3-4 things and I almost always just do carry on so...
It was, Joop Homme Wild
+1 Dirty English
Jaguar For Men - the green bottle with brown top is a little better than silver top but they are VERY close - this one has a lovely...
Thanks for dredging up this thread - I think I'll wear it tomorrow, it's been a while and on me it often gets a compliment (no rotten cabbage note appears)
Michael Jordan Balance - Cheap decent
Eau Sauvage - prolly my fave scent, but seldom wear it, also Endymion (it's a special occasion" one and I don't have many "special occasions" these days, maybe I need to make some special occasions...
I like several of their scents a LOT, BUT the problem IS longevity. I did simply like/love Endymion enough to look past the longevity issue though and go ahead and get it. - For pure scent, my faves...
Only have Code - I like it a lot, and get decent projection and decent longevity the dry down is my favorite part
Flight is VERY nice - short lived (2-3 hours) but quite nice while it lasts - Balance is also decent and the first time I wore it a cashier asked what I had on and said that it was REALLY nice (I had...
Interesting - especially that ZERO matches were found - Now can we get that made up and have it come in at around $39.99 - 49.99 for at least 50ML?
I get decent performance from Endymion, but I do tend to wear it for "an Occassion" that will not be real long in nature - and I get like 6 hours from London - The ones I wish to be longer are the...
+1 on this and it's very inexpensive
and a couple of those little "moist towelettes" to get me through the day since this stuff unfortunately has a very...
Lucky Number 6
I've only had samples but I think I remember the Pure Havane having better longevity (on me) but both were good all around.
Here comes the "mom-like" voice of reason (and frugality) Do you have about $175.00ish or more to toss at a scent and not think twice? - Then go ahead and get the New Haarlem so you can say you have...
Another +1 on Burberry London
Thierry Mugler - Pure Havane - it's not like pure cigar/tobacco though it's got some chocolate and Patchouli going on too ( and I NEED it myself, but don't have it)...
incense, patchouli, oak moss, tonka bean
Anise, vetiver, tobacco, bay rum
I chose Bergamot , Lemon and Verbena - this little experiment could be interesting
I had heard of Lomani but had never sought them out - some appeared at Gordman's last week and I picked up the Lomani Pour Homme for $7.99 for 100ml - liking Drakkar and knowing it was of the Drakkar...
On the poll I checked Azzaro Chrome - but would like to also suggest Individual
Kind of feel like the pauper at the palace, but oh well, it...
plus a little "refresher bottle" of course - I love this stuff, plus it helps a little in keeping pesky...
Try Joop Homme Wild if you have not tried it, it might not be the answer but it might be and it's not expensive - I love it and especially like the drydown.
11, all bottles and have had a couple of others
Kind of a "Throwback Thursday" sort of thing
I think my 3 most pleasurable Guilty Pleasures are Playboy Vegas, Brut and AXE Dark Temptation - because I TRULY like all 3 of them
Aaaaand, over here in the cheap seats we have
Not to me, I love many of the "old scents" and actually delight in telilng people when they compliment one that it's a real old one - These things have stuck around for a reason, they don't make them...
I first bought this stuff many years ago because the then g/f told me it was her favorite of all time I now have 2 (both splash EDT) bottles one about 1/3 gone and they both say New York Paris. I...
I have the original Pour Homme and Jaipur as well and like them both I also agree Jaipur for cooler/colder days and Pour Homme for warmer days - neither one is offensive in any way (at least to me)...
I like this more and more, it seems pretty versatile too.
Talked to the ex g/f last night, it always kind of amazed me that someone as "classy" as her loved this stuff - it's kind of subtle though and she...
The only aventus I have ever smelled was in a sample - granted I don't exactly move in high end fragrance circles on a daily basis, but I travel a LOT and do not recall it - in fact I can't think of...
Masterpiece - if I was richer I would own a bottle, then another, but I'm not so I "settle" for Cool Water" and/or "Aspen"
Interesting, especially since we are often in agreement on some other "cheapies".
Yes, on the Moves and Victory League having semi decent longevity I have both of those and never thought they did but have had g/fs who liked them and said they could still smell them 5-6-7 hours...
I agree with both of you guys and I get 5-6 hours from Nautica Voyage too - as to the "winning over" people, well I agree with that too, because some people simply won't wear cheapies, and others,...
Why can't Adidas make things that last longer than 2-3 hours? I have once again fallen prey to a $9.99 Adidas cheapie that smells soooo good But I know it is not going to last more than 2-3 hours -...
Well, there is always AXE Dark Temptation.... I know, I know, but it fits the bill
OH and when the Aztecs are at The Zocalo in Mexico City the high quality Copal they burn smells heavenly as soon as you emerge from the Metro you can smell it.
Hyde Park Towers near Hyde park - It's lavender and chamomile (we asked) not sure if they still use the same but a couple of years ago this is what was was. Also, the Circle K Marathon gas station...
I agree with the above - I have known people who spend a lot on fragrances in comparison to how much they earn, BUT the three richest people I have ever known, two male, one female do/did not. One...
one of my very faves period - add a drop of a deep but not real "earthy" patchouli oil and it will deepen the base and prolong the longevity or do what NickZee said if you don't have any Patchouli oil
Oooh I like that too!
About the same - I get usually about 6 hours from either one - moderate projection
There is a similar vibe, it's not identical, but they are definitely brothers so to speak I have I think 4 bottles of this (probably a lifetime amount....) partly because of the price but also...
I must admit, those times when I find myself helping some young kid in the AXE section as they sniff stuff I tell them to just forget the others - girls like Dark Temptation, Kilo, Excite and Peace...
I like it too - in fact if this slightly cooler weather holds it's in the running for tomorrow's wearing
I like nearly all of the Michael Jordan stuff - have most of them - Dirty English is one of my faves and also totally agree with the original post about it - another I agree with is the Paris Hilton...
A comfortable familiar old friend
Ok guys, these seem to be his choices, they might not be yours (or mine) but they are the ones he has selected - that said - I went with the OV - I too like vetiver and think it works better year...
It's the drydown for me too, on Endynion and all of those. I don't worry much these days about the first 20-60 minutes since I live alone and then by the time I get anywhere the top notes are always...
Of the ones I currently own
Versace The Dreamer
Those would prolly be the top 5 and would depend on the person I was dating...
