Looking for up to 5 mls of Astor Cologne by Trumper.
Several mls of following:
Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver
Le Galion Special For Gentleman
Rance 1795 L'Aigle de la Victoire
Le Labo Vetiver 46
Anybody know where samples on-line would be available?
Guerlain Vetiver Extrait would be a good thing to see.
Excellent, that's good to know!
Which version, the recent edt release? I'm curious about this as well.
Reminds me of Cartier Pasha.
Cartier Pasha and VC&A Tsar
Profumum Antico Caruso.
As a point of reference, what other frag(s) could it be compared to?
Aventure by Galimard
How is it on longevity?
I had a sample several months ago and I remember it made me think of Cuiron. I don't have the ability to do note by note breakdowns but in terms of performance, Piper Leather started fairly strong...
Another possible substitute, although expensive also, might be Illuminum Piper Leather.
USA only please. Prices include shipping:
Max Factor Royal Regiment Leather Cologne, no box, 2.25 oz splash 90% full - $25
Crown Park Royal edt, 1.7 oz atomizer, no box. 80% full
Have you seen the Eau D´Hadrien review by scentemental? Includes an excellent write up of the two.
Doesn't sound too promising.
Check out wicozani's vetiver redux thread.
Armani Eau Pour Homme
Aigner Black for Men
Carlo Corinto Classic.
Any more early impressions of the Uomo?
Will this phantom frag ever really become a reality?
Any more thoughts on this?
Received a sample. Posts #7 and #10 sum it up.
Probably a lot of 4711.
It shares similarities with Le Dandy by D'Orsay.
I wonder how the longevity of this compares to that of Noble Vetiver?
Le Labo Vetiver 46.
Looks like Perfume Raffy can provide Crown Buckingham samples.
Kenzo pour Homme.
If the Trussardi Uomo is like the original but without the plastic/fiberglass accord then it could be a winner.
Definitely Terre d'Hermes.
PDN Cedrat, one whiff then gone.
Still no word on this?
Almaktoub by Madini is another one.
Frank Los Angeles #2 bears a resemblance to Le Dandy.
Jacomo de Jacomo
Hermes Bel Ami
Pierre Cardin Man's Musk Cologne.
Le Labo Vetiver 46.
I agree with StylinLA that Charles Street is similar, though not as strong as Tuscan Leather.
The new John Varvatos 10th Anniversary Fragrance.
Eucris by Geo F. Trumper.
Frederic Malle's Vetiver Extraordinaire.
There's one called Whiskey available from Hickoree's Hard Goods.
I could help you out with one of those items.
Is this still in production?
D.S. & Durga has a scent called $.
Another plug for Scented Monkey. Used them five or six times without any negative issues.
Gucci Pour Homme (2003) and for plenty of cedar, Tumulte by Christian Lacroix.
Hampton Court does samples. (I'd provide the link but I'm not that technically adept).
Another source is Hampton Court in Santa Rosa, California.
I've dealt with them about four or five times and never had a problem.
Royal Regiment Leather by Max Factor.
If you like Bois du Portugal you may also like Parfums de Nicolai New York.
If you like Gucci Pour Homme you may like Pal Zileri Sartoriale.
If you like Drakkar Noir you may like Almaktoub by...
I've tried the original Quorum and the Silver. Quorum, an '80's powerhouse type is, in my opinion the better of the two. Silver is different and (going from memory) more along the lines of...
They were originally produced by MEM Co. and those are discontinued. I think what the e-tailers mostly have now are the tweaked and re-packaged versions by Dana Co. I have older MEM Wind Drift and...
(Edit: Duncan beat me to it).
Try Scented Monkey and click on the ''Try before you buy'' button.
I have an official Bleecker Street sample which I don't need. PM if you like and it's yours.

L'Eau de Gouverneur by Comptoir Sud Pacifique might work if...
Jacqueline Perfumery in San Francisco has it. I believe they ship. Gravel is probably the only cologne I bought on the spot (after an hour or so of initial testing).
I very definitely get the ''bong air'' vibe which, as impressive this fragrance is, renders Bandit non bottle worthy for me.
I tend to seek out bold, old-school masculine type scents and purchased Pour Lui a year ago unaware of it's being changed. While this newer formula definitely blows most contemporary mass market...
Gucci Nobile does have slight similarities with Caeser's, which means another possibility: Drakkar Noir.
