Ordered from FragranceNet:
I realize this is an impressive haul, but please don't be jealous. :2vrolijk_08:
The ones I looked up (sort of cheapies to begin with, like Quorum and Cool Water) were quite a bit cheaper than FragranceNet..
Sounds like it's a newer site. Very cheap prices. They "explain" how they are able to do this in the FAQ link at the bottom of homepage.
No phone number, address, or...
+1. Has good incense note also.
I have yet to find anything that would give me decent longevity (or any longevity) with just one spray.
Even worse is Bvlgari Aqva Marine. Yuck. All the worst elements of a marine environment. Dead fish floating around, stinky seaweed rotting on the beach under a hot sun, etc.
Much ado about nothing. Unhygienic? As if the alcohol and whatnot in the frag wouldn't take care of any "germs?"
This hair won't affect you or the frag quality.
I wouldn't worry about it in the...
Yikes! Powdery?? Feminine?? Seems like enough people are saying things like this that there is no way I'll try OS.
Gotta say I like MB Individuel well enough, though.
A great, cheapie designer for masculine rose: Van Cleef and Arpels PH
At the one near me... frags are in a couple of locked glass cases, and good luck finding anyone to open them up for you. But if you could see the clientele and the workers at this place, then none...
Also blind bought this one, and like it quite a bit. Wife was impressed too.
Love the stuff (latest formulation), but wish the longevity was better. For sure, this scent isn't for everyone, and unlikely to get female compliments, but it is ultra macho and I suppose best...
I don't suppose you would , Mr. Patel
I'm happy for those that like it, but to me it really does smell like a men's room.
Once at a duty free shop, I sprayed a little on the back of one hand, and then 1 Million or something on the other...
WOW ! I can't imagine getting that many free samples at once. Unreal. But good for you. Wish that would happen to me.
I definitely got the celery note, but still didn't think it was half bad. But the longevity of the sample I had was pretty poor. That's the deal-breaker for me.
A Men :vrolijk_26:
It seemed like a good idea when I sampled it, then I got a full bottle in a swap. In the final analysis I just couldn't bring myself to wear the stuff.
And away it went in...
My experience here is exactly the same. Only way I was able to unload several a couple months ago was to sell 'em quite cheap.
And you have to state in your sale ad, very clearly, NO SWAPS. ...
I gave this so many chances, but it just has a musty quality that I can't get past. Probably relatively close to Kouros, but with some sort of fruity thing (grape or pineapple) going. But again, in...
Agree. Individuel is a great scent, but the longevity/projection is not what I'd hoped.
Might I suggest F by Ferragamo Black? That's my best one, as far as scent, projection, longevity.
Mugler Pure Havane was pretty darn close, when I had both. But neither had the longevity I desire.
I bought this from Fragrancenet in very late 2012 and the longevity was not nearly what I'd been led to believe.
Too bad, cuz it it a great scent, and one of the very few that got me a compliment. ...
Bump, will try for another week or two.
I totally agree with this. I also think 1 Million is a masculine gourmand, not matter what this frag's detractors have to say about it.
Another for Salvador Dali PH
USA only. Price includes priority shipping. No swaps, etc. I believe these are quite fair prices based on my research.
After shipping cost, you are only paying $15 for the juice.
Good price? I should say so. You can't beat that for 4 different frags, each over 1 oz.
Fragrancenet is my go-to place for frags.
Just because something I get from them is not to my liking, or the longevity leaves something to be desired, or the scent doesn't seem to exactly match a...
Nope. I think you need to reread some of the March 9th posts in this thread, where peeps ARE talking about smelling guys who've oversprayed AdG, a guy drenched in Polo Black, etc.
I rarely smell cologne on other guys, much less all the overspraying people claim is rampant.
Very interesting David. I sampled Timbuktu, thought it was nice, but the price was a bit high for me.
Not a fan of TdH, though. I always like reading about your finds, and observations, from there...
Hope they come soon, and meet or exceed all your expectations. :vrolijk_26:
Hanae Mori HiM (not HM)
And agree with suggestion of Prada Amber Intense (not to be confused with soapy, regular Prada Amber). Intense is more about incense, and surprisingly nice.
Kouros. The scent of a well-used urinal. What's not to like?
To me, Polo Blue is better than the reviews would indicate. And it has better longevity than AdG.
I sold what was left of my AdG, but have no plan to get rid of PB.
Caron Third Man. Beautiful floral, but I wouldn't wear it.
Don't do it !
TdH...something smells like dirty oranges
Yatagan... I smell dirty celery
Salavdor Dali PH... I think there are electrical wires burning in one of the machines
DHI... you are a girly man (by...
Talkers don't do, and doers don't talk.
Great masculine frag... but no tobacco I can discern.
Yet another vote for VC&A pour homme. This mature, masculine frag says "I mean business."
Don't tell me this, brotato. PAPHI is next on my wish list.
Totally agree with bigbz about Hanae Mori HM.
As far as one that hasn't been mentioned, Aventus was a real love/hate thing with me.
Yatagan. Because he can.
In my opinion, Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense and to a lesser extent, Nuit de Issey.
From my collection, and from my experience, I would say Aventus, 1 Million, and F by Ferragamo Black.
The latter is really a sleeper. Like a bolder LaNuit, and great longevity (which usually eludes...
Just sold my GG. Need I say more? Hyper-masculine though it is, most people, women in particular, will NOT like this on you.
Nick.... your Allure Homme Sport just went bye-bye :lolk:
Montale Dark Aoud. Holy crap. Bandaids and antiseptic in a cologne. And some actually like this?
Quorum... better scent, very masculine.
Almost thought I saw it, still there for $25, but it was the edt.
In my family circles (female members), 1 Million wins. Gotta say, I like it too.
I too like this one a lot. Like LaNuit, but bolder/more masculine, and with very good longevity. Even on me who often has longevity issues with frags I like.
My best blind buy (from here on BN)...
I have found I cannot do vetivers of any sort. Wife doesn't like 'em either.
I can pretty much guarantee, based on the changes in culture, women's tastes, and men in general..... the classic powerhouses will never come back.
Most men want to wear what women will like. ...
I have the same problem, bro. SO many frags I've liked simply do not have the longevity I am looking for. 6 hours minimum is all I ask. And like you, I generally use my wife to verify my...
Pour Homme, though apparently I differ from almost everyone else
I like Quorum, and even got a compliment on it once (from another guy). I had the current juice, but longevity is lacking.
One Man Show is quite gross.
If you think you like these...
Joop Nightflight. Just a bad scent, reminiscent of a cleaning product. Was convinced by numerous positive reviews and posts here that I'd like it.
Some other blind buys didn't disappoint me...
Much ado about nothing
Have to say the reviews make this one look like a winner. 15 positive reviews, with no neutral or negative.
Another one for me to consider.... though not the cheapest frag out there.
Another "overrated" vote for DHI.
Underrated: F by Ferragamo Black, Azzaro PH Elixir, and Bvlgari Man/Man Extreme come to mind.
Damn... lighten up, dude.
To answer the OP.. I have sampled quite a lot at Sephora. Not necessarily getting atomizers from them, but spraying things on my arms or their paper strips to test 'em...
Maybe you can use it for cleaning those troublesome kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
Can't say I've seen much talk here of Visit either. Maybe there are a lot of positive comments in the review section, but I'm not interested enough to check.
For your next Azzaro, try their PH...
Great job, anewtypedude. Thanks for this update.
Hey... have fun. That's a lot of samples, brother.
1 Million intense, which wife knew I had my eye on.
And a couple days ago got some Nautica Voyage, Azzaro PH Elixir, and decant of Animale Animale in a swap with Colgneist here.
You can't beat that with a big stick :2vrolijk_08:
The reviews don't convince me....
I had a sample of Caron Third Man, and couldn't stop smelling my wrist. Those beautiful, sweet, creamy florals. But I could never buy a full bottle and wear it.
Just came across as a bit fem.
I had one like that. But I won't mention the scent.
Have you tried it, brate??
It's mentioned here occasionally, but F by Ferragamo Black is superb, in my opinion.
Jack... you are too funny :lolk:
Is there ANYTHING that lasts more than an hour or two in that very dry air?? I found in Vegas and Phoenix that even good longevity frags (normally) like 1 Million didn't last worth a darn.
Very good point.
As for me, I very seldom smell scents on any guys. And when I do I can't identify them. The scents that is :-)
I agree with you, FSU dude, that you and a number of others here have the knowledge and passion to make excellent SAs.
I don't think the current version of Polo is bad at all. Macho and long-lasting.
Tried the Esencia, and thought the scent was OK but had bad longevity.
Even then I personally liked the scent of...
I got more "bandaid" from Dark Aoud than Black. Black to me was very heavy rose.
What is "cold weather" in Tampa? 50 F ? :lolk:
Sounds like a good frag that I will look into. 2 compliments just during one doctor visit? Nice work!
I am fine with the current version of Polo Green. Manly scent, good longevity.
I like F a lot. So does my wife. I just recently described it to someone here as a bit sharper/stronger/less powdery version of LaNuit. But a similar scent.
I also think LaNuit could be...
Black Aoud, and DHI to some extent. Just my opinion.
After trying 3 different vetiver-centric frags, neither me or my wife likes any of 'em.
You certainly did... but it was very interesting.

Good job trying to help out folks here
Hey.... me too ! :lolk:
Or maybe it's coffee.
1 Million and Bleu

Forget the Michael Kors. Current (bottle I got about 12-18 months ago) formulation is somewhat fruity/boozy, got no tobacco, and pathetic longevity.
Interesting, Chuck. The new location gives you a new found enjoyment of your scents. Sounds good.
