I have not tried any of the Pure X's yet. Don't know what the fuss is all about.
From the description I bet it IS Pure Sport like another suggested.
Didn't Only the Brave come out in 2009?
Worst Frag: ck Shock
Worst Bottle: Ben Sherman
And DUMBEST/CLUMSIEST bottle design is John Varvatos Star USA (I do like the scent, though)
"I have no idea what I want so I'll let someone else decide! Money in the bank! Fans will have better ideas than actual professional perfumers! Yes I am so SMRT"
My friend's mother had a knock-off of Eternity called... Endless Fun.
She bought it because the name is hilarious.
I like it enough to not buy any and let others have it.
McCormick is pretty good. Mix it with some vanilla and you got Burberry Brit.
Looks like a one-eyed bat.
That's more of a "DO NOT WANT" kind of no.
I've been waiting for CH Men to be added.
As well as the following:
Nautica White Sail
Paul Smith, you have been charged with the crime of Man 2. How do you plead?
Hooray, I noticed a small update was made recently! Even if it's only one scent I've been waiting for, it's worth it.
And, I too, have offered my time for data entry services.
Jil Sander Man
Last major update (minus the fragrances mentioned on the news page) was a little over 4 months ago. That's what "may take a while" means.
Vera Wang for Men
Jil Sander Man
Dior Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir
Bulgari pour Homme Soir
A number these are ones I never liked and still don't like. Others I still really like.
Only one I loved at first because it was different.... Yatagan. I can't stand it anymore.
Where these originally in French or something? It's like some bad translation.
I don't encounter others wearing cologne very often. I think people don't spray enough for others to smell.
The ones that overspray are the ones you remember.
I've encountered AdG of course,...
Bulgari pour Homme. Its flankers don't harm me, though.
Also for some reason, the misspelling of "fragrane" in the thread title puts this thread at the top of a Google search.
If anything, at least Bond should be happy that someone is buying their perfumes.
Seller also has full bottles of Chanels for under $15.
NO IT IS NOT LEGIT STUFF AT ALL
Doesn't Clarins own Azzaro and Mugler's perfumes? Don't see how that's a rip off if they just use an old formula.
Hasn't this meme been done to death?
Ted Baker M - Limited Edition "Summer Nights"
A nice blend of spices and amber. Very light and woodsy.
The scent and the image are hilariously mismatched in my opinion.
I find the powdery scent of Stetson to be like a feminine Guerlain!
The women's Eau de Parfum features top notes of blood orange orpur, violet leaf and apple; middle notes of...
I think I've bought more than 20 100ml bottles of A&F Fierce.
About 8 or so of Burberry London for Men.
About 4 or 5 of Guerlain Vetiver, Rochas Man, Rochas Lui, Caron's The Third Man, Rive...
What's Winter Tale like? I've liked all the Canali offerings, too.
I picked up a bottle of Paco Rabanne pour Homme.
It's the current formulation.
It's terrible in longevity and has no power.
The bottle for Kristiansand New York looks awesome.
I have three bottles of Tiberius. Two were gifts because people know how much of a Star Trek geek I am. I even saw some for sale at Borders and I freaked out about it.
Honestly I really do think...
Light & sweet woodsy scent. Nothing like the bombastic original Kanon.
This stuff was OLD SCHOOL in my opinion. I had some of it. THere's a huge indolic floral in the middle and after that it gets very earthy. Very animalic vetyver. I just tried looking for some more...
Might as well pull the testers off the shelves, too.
I don't think anyone buys fragrance anymore. People just ask for samples and they are never seen again. Everytime I am at the fragrance counter...
I recall reading in the directory that a fragrance was indeed brought back via Basenotes. I can't remember what the heck it was, now.
"Just how many colognes do you own?"
For everyone's information, the scents and fragrance notes are available at Beauty Habit.
Save your money if you can't decide.
What's this thread about now?
Oh I see the title changed. I'll answer: Why yes, I DO look in the mirror while applying fragrance.
Yeah it's a good thread. Why delete it?
In the game Atelier Iris: Azoth of Desitiny there are mana that control the elements of the world. Basic ones are wood, water, fire, air... and there's specialties likemetal, poison... and the senses...
Especially when they are posts from 5 million years ago.
Guess I have to pull this out again
No one says a damn thing to me about what I'm wearing.
They could've been more straight to the point and called it Aqua Marine... oh wait...
"happy to you, log pony!"
Do a Google search on that one.
Especially Hugo Boss. I liked Pure at first... and then it sucked. Before that it was Selection. Same with Element when it came out.
...and NONE of you predicted the flanker's name ;)
Seems like it's going to be a super sea salty scent. The...
From all the best to all the worst, the bell curve of fragrances is saturated with so-so, ho-hum, or just really plain scents. These scents are not terrible but not fantastic. They are not the worst...
If it were really hell, the devil would make me wear a whole bottle of Joop! Homme forever.
All I need is one and I've finally decided on it. Homme de Gres.
As for the other two, Acqua di Gio...
I own a bottle. It's definitely one of those mood scents. It actually smells like rain water. Smells really weird if you aren't in the mood.
Hillaire, are you sure you had a sample of Ca'Luna?...
Lol there's a member here by that name: http://www.basenotes.net/members/10409-Smellin-of-Troy
So nevermind ;)
It was an offhanded remark in the Simpsons episode 3F15 but I wish it was real.

I approve of this shelf.
In my little rinky-dink place of hometown, too.
Two men were arrested Wednesday after Northern Berks Regional police raided a stand in the...
Sounds like *insert fragrance you hate here*!
I don't have any colognes. What are you talking about?
One of my first posts here was me complaining about the grey market and those ugly scratches on the boxes and the back of perfume bottles. It's a necessary evil if you want to be in this hobby ;)
What the heck's a "guido"? Aside from appearance, I don't understand what they are.
Certainly a ripoff. Carolina Herrera is based out of New York and the area code there is 212. 555 is a generic area code used for movies and such.
Perhaps you got a vintage sample of Pour un Homme.
Was it a Jovan fragrance? For some reason Grass Oil comes to mind but that, according to the directory, came out in '74.
Porsche Design Essence boasts an arctic accord.
Anything can be considered controversial so it doesn't matter.
So what's the scent equivalent of chewing gum and eating popcorn at the same time?
Doesn't sound like it's anything like pour Monsieur. It's a flanker for the new pour Homme version. The pour Homme is very sawdust/woodsy. Very nice!
If the winter version is vanilla and warming,...
Argh I've been looking for that....
Well if it's BASENOTES related voting then the following categories will be apt to be added.

I like some but don't love them (my fav was Chinatown *shrug*). They are too damned expensive and boring for me to warrant getting them a bottle ever again... until the price drops.
125ml of Kiton Black for $30
Please contact us if you need any further assistance.
No one's mentioned Karl Lagerfeld's KL Homme yet.
I assume that's $100 CAN
I had a number of them. I noticed that they were mostly from the big discount stores. I've decided to keep a few as a reminder to stop buying blind and just because they're a good deal doesn't mean...
Wolfgang Joop is awesome. Soooo sweet 'n' spicy.
...what's a 10-dollar word for "mental patient"?
Don't forget Between the Sheets.

HEART NOTES: pineapple, lily of the valley, Indian sandalwood...
Another case of blind buy woes...

This is the only place I could find a picture or a shop that would have it.
Lenel for Men
Part of the De Roeschiele AKA Rothschild company.
Here're threads about it.
I really like this stuff.
There are gifts sets for $19.99 for a 75ml and deo stick.
As long as the other party understands what you want and vice versa, mispronouncing words doesn't bother me.
I wonder how the Japanese pronounce Guerlain... the problem is probably not just in the...
I think if you push the top of the bottle, some liquid comes out in a fine mist. Apparently I've read that you need to get this mist onto your skin somehow. From there I'm clueless. See the 4 step...
For the record, I know the boxes and bottles say eau de cologne / aqua de colonia quite dominantly on the top but they say eau de toilette on the bottom of the box. These are definitely EdT's.
Did it start with the letter "O" or the word "eau"?
This is the men's version (there's a women's version, too)
Top notes: wild basil, orange and sage.
Middle notes: cardamom, lavender and cinnamon bark.
