I agree, fragrance heads are crazy :)
Package in the mail today:
I am a very happy man indeed.

I sent her a message, it was a 3.4 oz. I PM'd her asking for the code and she said it was 0N01 (Jan 2010). Enjoy your bottle!
L'Instant is far superior to HM. HM is sickly sweet, almost like Candy. L'Instant Extreme is more of a dry cocoa/citrus. Completely difference fragrances.
eBay, think-and-grow-rich was the seller, UK based, unfortunately she's only selling 2011 bottles right now
Impulsively purchased a January 2010 bottle last week for $150. I don't feel like such a dumb@ss any more. Btw, 0N01 - Silver collar or black?
The bottle that I bought last month: 9N01 - January 2009 :)
Could not be happier. Also have a Dior Homme Intene in transit: 0N01. January 2010. Does anybody know if this is silver collar or black...
Le Male is somewhat similar to Jacomo de Jacomo Rouge
Smell before writing it off people. I don't get ANY chilli. It smells like a Starbucks Cappuccino to me, VERY nice.
I bet this ahead of Pure Havane as far as Mugler's go.
+1. Tobacco Vanille and Chergui are smoother and more linear. Also the patchouli note in PH makes it completely different from TV and Chergui
I hope you have tried it first. SDV is GORGEOUS, however it is also very feminine. It was actually my SOTD.
EVERYTIME I read that fragrantica description of the reformulation, my heart hurts a little more. If they ACTUALLY did such a drastic change, they have officially lost themselves a customer.
I agree with you brother. Miguel (Hiroyoruzuka on YouTube) promised a review of the reformulation. Being a massive fan of the original, he should be able to provide a definitive answer.
I refuse to believe a word of this "fruitiness" until I smell it myself. Dior CAN'T be stupid enough to take out the signature chocolate and vanilla notes of DHI and replace them with fruity notes,...
Decided against it, I'm testing a bottle in real life before spending $100 on a fragrance that may be entirely different from what I'm looking for. I sincerely doubt they took the chocolate and...
The fruity tinge is rather off-putting, however I do trust Dior. I think I'm going to bite the bullet.
I have about $100 left in my fragrance budget (student, save loose change and buy a frag every month or two), so I'll be willing to take a chance with some more input!
What do you guys think? Is it too early for strawberrynet to have the reformulated version?
1. Longevity on all three are phenomenal (Spray in the afternoon, its still there the next morning). No sense in trying to compare, however I believe Pure Havane is the most spotty.
I'm desperate to get a bottle of DHI, however I can't seem to find any sources who carry the original formulation. I was wondering if anybody can shed some light on the differences?
I am trying...
Don't be fooled by the Chili. This stuff smells a spiced cappuccino. It is VERY pleasant, and I far prefer it to Pure Havane. I may actually trade my bottle of Pure Havane to get this stuff.
There two vastly different fragrances. I prefer pure malt as the eucalyptus in body kouros is rough on my nose.
Live Jazz is awesome. I actually bought it blind as a result of this thread and I LOVE it. Thank you for that Cologneist.
I want Pure Coffee to come back!!! :(
Hopefully they don't release Pure Malt at department stores, I'd rather not have have my Winter signature scent too widely available.
Versace the Dreamer
Abercrombie Fierce ;)
I own both, I am FAR from a fragrance snob, and L'homme bores me. D&G PH is the far superior fragrance IMO.
Wait, you don't have dreamer in your collection already? Very weird given your user name! Anyways, I'd say no to the blind buy, but sniff it out and you may like it. Considering your signature alone,...
I recently bought Pure Malt blind off of fragrancenet, and I regret it. I prefer the original Angel Men to Pure Malt at this point, but hopefully, my nose will grow to like it. The amount of love...
I meant everything ASIDE from those two. A supermarket close to my house had 50% off of all of their fragrances (they didn't want to continue holding them), so I bought everything that I was...
Thank you for the welcome! Live Jazz is definitely on the 'to buy' list, along with Encre Noire, Dreamer, and Lolita Lempicka au Masculin.
Aside from my two TM's, I haven't paid more than $30...
Hi everybody! I'm 18 years old, and I developed my passion for fragrances this past fall (and it started with a $20 of Burberry London - my first "grown up" scent). I received Pure Malt and Pure...
