    I’ve tried a “perfumers alcohol” that I got from amazon. Not bad when used to reconstitute evaporated samples(obviously the top notes are mostly gone anyway).

    I got the same impression, wood&leather: Bortnikoff has Oud Monarch, where areej has Russian Oud. The gourmand oud offerings are quite different but they offer a signature take on a staple.
